Vex had a decent start to life. Nothing special, but decent. She had a loving family; a loving mother, father and twin sister and was being trained to be a proper warrior. However, one day as Vex decided to venture out into the woods on her own, goblins invaded her family home and slaughtered everyone there. Now alone, Vex would not just survive, but thrive through sheer force of will.

Along the way, she met a young Karlach and the two became fast friends. Overtime, the two got into all sort of misadventures and cause all kind of mischief. This was one of the happiest times within her life.

Several years later, the two would take different paths, with Karlach taking on odd jobs and Vex becoming a knight. Their bond never wavered though, with Karlach even claiming she'd marry Vex one day.

{Adult Life}

Before truly becoming a Knight in full, Vex traveled Faerun alongside a ragtag group of adventurers. They had plenty of misadventures but eventually went their separate ways to meet their own personal goals. Afterwards, Vex continued her plan to become a true Knight, which took about 3-4 years.

Now a trained knight, she was dragged into the the blood war in Avernus by Gortash who had manipulated Duke Ravenguard into starting a war with Zariel. As a Knight Captain/General to the Baldurian Forces, she lead the initial assault on Zariel's capital and for a time they seemed to have the upperhand. However as the months wore on, her forces dwindled down to around 20 people who were eventually captured and taken prisoner by Zariel's forces. Alone and outnumbered, Vex asked for help from any deity or god that would hear her… What she got instead was an ice devil, Feirala, who offered her a solution: Drink an entire goblet of demon's blood and survive, and the battle would be won. Vex, in her desperation did as she was told, fighting through the violent and cruel voices as well as the burning and stinging from the vile liquid; and through sheer force of will, she survived. Afterwards, she stabbed her rapier into the ground and froze all 1000 soldiers from Zariel's army before moving on to the capital alone. Along the way, she slayed a demonic general who had previously defeated a beast of a similar rank from Stygia and claimed her signature blade, Permafrost. This blade was forged with magic filled with malice, hatred and the coldest ice magic, allowing it to not only freeze targets but absorb their souls upon death, powering it up through slaughter.

Once inside, she confronted the ruler of Avernus, Zariel who commended her on her domination of her forces but had some unfortunate news for the now changed knight: She was now somehow in control of the very demon whos blood she had consumed, and in a cruel twist meant she now had control over Vex as well. Unbroken, Vex proceeded to attack Zariel only to be stopped short suddenly, being held back by what felt like heavy invisible chains that then yanked her back towards the ground. Zariel then called in those she had taken prisoner as well as her remaining men who seemed to be under some sort of mind control to break vex in the worst way possible…

These soldiers had their way with the knight for hours until she had lost all of her fight she had left. When they were done, she was left on the ground, covered in fluids with a traumatized 1000 yard stare. She was then taken away, cleaned up, dressed in rags and thrown inside a prison cell to await modification into one of Zariel's twisted experiments. However, things would suddenly take a turn as her now demonic blood bubbled forth and her rage heightened to a boiling point. She forced herself to her feet, broke free and slaughtered everyone within the area until she was covered in blood from head to toe. Donning new armor and claiming her new crossbow, The Frosted Arbalist, She then stormed off into Avernus to find an escape, freezing any and all who would get in her way.

Her salvation ironically enough came from a Nautiloid ship where she was infected with a mind flayer parasite. However, this would be a new beginning for General Estellese, as she now had a different purpose… Kill Zariel, and anyone who would willingly work with her to harm others, remove her parasite and protect the people of Faerun.
