Just finished watching this show.

What an absolute masterpiece this is... from the long/one take story telling to the script and the acting itself, this show is perfection.

I started watching it a few days ago but couldn't move past episode 1 because of how real it felt.

We've had a lot of movies and series in the past dealing with the negative effects of social media on teens and their mental health, but none have addressed it in a way that felt so jarring and so very realistically haunting.

It's heartbreaking how there is a whole generation of young, impressionable boys who are actively being pushed down the path of self destruction in guise of being the "alpha" or a distorted idea of what being a man means. It's heartbreaking to see innocent kids being brainwashed into believing such horrible ideas.

What makes this show even more hard hitting is how adults, whether teachers, parents, or even the police themselves, are much behind on this information chain. How, most of the time, it's not just the latest lingo they are unaware of but also the toxic, misogynistic, and aggressive content that is readily available and mostly targeted towards these young boys and girls. How, even when parents have done everything in their power to give their child a better life and future, there still remains some small cracks and crevices from where these ghouls enter a family and ruin it all. It shows how important it has become for parents and teachers to keep up with the current social media scenery and figure out how to protect the kids, the best from predators such as these red pill content creators.

Because at the end of the day, it is important to understand that none of those Andrew Tate types are gonna come save these young boys when something awful happens. People of these red pill manosphere types are nothing but predators, with a mic and a camera exploiting the younger generation.

Proper counseling, a good community, and communication is the answer. Probably.

Not just between adults/ gaurdians and the kids but among their peers. A conversation needs to happen only then can we dismantle the cycle of hatred that these predators have created, where they seek out the vulnerable kids and exploit them and make money off the misery of the ruined families and innocent lives.

But what's not the solution is ostracizing someone. That is how these red pill ones get their grip deeper into the lives of the vulnerable ones.
