Are you in any of these countries?
If not, maybe you have followers who are?
The Gender Census releases all data collected every year so that people can process data about gender-divergent people in their home countries. However, when a country has less than 10 participants we redact the country information for their safety. These countries are all very close to having usable public data!
If you live in one of these countries and your gender is in a blender, please do take our survey. It takes 5-6 minutes, it doesn't collect any identifying information or ask any intrusive/personal questions, and it helps a lot. We have over 38,000 participants so far.
Take the 2025 Gender Census survey here!

“Still flunk the math,” Jedao said cheerfully. That was true. While Jedao had excellent geometric and spatial intuition, he had never developed better than scrape-by competency at the algebraic underpinnings of calendrical mechanics. Kujen had considered fixing the dyscalculia, but it was more convenient not to.

I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) is honestly just such a pure, solid good song. The lyrics are cute af and actually resemble a long-term committed and happy relationship and to top it all off you can scream ‘DAHDADADA’ and the top of your lungs in a pub and someone will scream it back to you.

Chinese History Timeline
There won't be a post this week (sorry, am finishing up a commission atm, should be done soon though), but I did make this Chinese history timeline in advance:

I realized that some dynasty names could be mixed up due to their pinyin being very similar (ex: Qin and Qing dynasty) and some time periods might be confusing because too many things were happening at once, so I thought it would be nice to give a timeline, and everyone could refer to it if needed.
(this timeline is translated from a nice visual I found online)

Hear me out: Ellen McLain as voice actor for ART
#non-serious suggestion as i'd personally want a less gendered or more masc-of-center voice#but it would very effectively telegraph the terrifying and somewhat unhinged nature of art to those in the know#asshole research transport#murderbot#ellen mclain

I’m a person that’s into studying historical and contemporary religions for personal curiosity scholarly reasons but I’m also a practicing Christian so for the sake of intellectual honesty I’ve had to develop two different brains for studying Christian texts and history. An analytical student of literature and history brain and a spiritual religious person brain.
These days when I look at passages about hoarding wealth being corrupting in the New Testament my studying brain is like it’s kind of interesting how Christianity says wealth is a bad thing because a lot of polytheistic religions in the ancient Mediterranean took the exact opposite approach so this was probably pretty weird to people at the time but maybe that’s also why some people found it appealing.
Meanwhile my spiritual brain is like dear Lord God if it be your will please haunt JD Vance’s dreams with these passages about how being rich is stupid thank you for everything good in my life like my cats and cheese on bread and if it be your will please haunt JD Vance with visions of camels trying to fit through the eye of a needle and make him really uncomfortable about it k love you amen

I really liked the watercolor texture, it fits Monomon as a jellyfish and a gentle yet strong being.

never stops being existentially horrifying to realize that someone you're talking to thinks that there is any kind of biological basis for "race" like the amount of people who are like 'racism is bad, of course race is a real scientific thing it's just bad to treat people differently because of it' and it's like no there is no biological or scientific basis for race it's purely a social concept. a dark skinned black person and a very pale white person can share more dna than two black people or two white people like it's all made up you can't tell someone's genetic or biological makeup just by looking at them. it's all socially constructed and there are massive consequences for this construction but anyone who tries to say that there is any kind of scientific basis for race whether they're knowingly purposely racist or trying to be "progressive" is wrong and realizing that someone you're talking to in a completely benign situation dead seriously thinks that such a thing as a "white race" actually scientifically exists is so terrifying

My toxic trait is that I am far more interested in the socio-economic and geopolitical implications of ABO settings than the smut.
For example: I can't read any ABO AUs set in England or France because while I can suspend my disbelief far enough for a gender trinary set up, I can't suspend it enough to believe those two countries would still be distinct entities in a alternate history where Richard the Lionheart could have impregnated Philip II.
If there was a viable dynastic future with Richard, Philip would have climbed him like an oak and dragged him to the altar if he had to. It's a match that makes perfect sense from both their points of view: Philip gets Aquitaine back under French rule, the best general in Europe on his council, and a powerful check on the Angevins... then unexpectedly (after Henry the Young bites it) the entire Kingdom of England for his Capetian dynasty. Richard meanwhile gets to stick it to his father, secure Aquitaine's prosperity, and gets the leverage to start pushing for his mother's release. Then when Henry kicks the bucket Richard doesn't actually have to be King of England in anything but name: Philip can run the countries and unify the Crowns and what not while Richard runs off to go Crusading.
Plus they also like, loved each other and stuff and being able to get to be together long term instead of being torn apart by politics would have been cool. But I'm mainly obsessed with the historical and dynastic implications.
All this to say any ABO au set in England or France that doesn't have them united as a singular Anglo-Frank empire is doing it wrong.
