I still can't believe how insultingly DC has treated Inza Nelson.

She has been important to Doctor Fate mythos since the 1940s. She joined Kent on adventures even without powers. She often was necessary for solving things, especially whenever she appeared in the 70s-80s. In All-Star, she's shown to be a total badass who didn't even flinch when Wotan had captured her during her first meeting with Doctor Fate. She became her own Doctor Fate and was vocal, radical, and entirely focused on helping the people at the bottom.

And they replaced her. For edgy 90s guy with a knife??? And then only referenced her TWICE since New52 started? And kept her dead?!

DC had an amazingly written female heroine and tossed her away like trash.

despite the fact salem may disappear once geoff johns leaves, i need him to be kicked off JSA immediately. these delays are freaking insane. there should not be a 2.5 or even 3 month delay between every. issue.

🤔 The JSA had to have existed when Salem disappeared, right? Surely Doctor Fate would’ve introduced his apprentice to his JSA buds, including Jay and Hawkman. Do the memories come back only if someone close to you still remembers you? Did she never meet them? Do they remember and just not care?

i've been roleplaying salem in a dc group and we have a kent nelson so she came back to kent alive but inza dead (and khalid is also doctor fate too, he and kent both have their own helmets).

i've built up so many headcanons through it. and right now i particularly want to write a fanfic where salem gets de-aged somehow to 6 year olds so you've got this old, grumpy kinda depressed grandpa who's taking care of a tiny child and trying to give her a better childhood than she had the first time around.

I need everyone to remember how badass Inza Cramer is. She got captured by Wotan before even knowing Kent/Doctor Fate and her immediate response is to insult Wotan. She is scared of nothing. Cower before her might.

one of my favorite things about fan media is taking a show that wasn’t meant to be serious and making the events more realistic. danny phantom with the fact his parents want to capture and experiment on ghosts being an actual threat, where he died. my life as a teenage robot but take that christmas special seriously: she was mind controlled for a year and then her mom tried killing her. how much does that destroy her? steven universe future is like the official version of this where the fun of steven universe is then confronted with the serious trauma.

I’m imagining how wild the Tower of Fate would be with a few characters resurrected. You got Khalid, who honestly is the most competent, well-adjusted adult out of all the characters I’ll be mentioning and is probably begging for some silence because he has hospital rotations in the morning. Stitch, Khalid’s super chaotic agender ragdoll child who likely never shuts up. Kent is the grumpy probably depressed grandpa and his wife’s cheerleader. Inza is the chaotic communist grandma who once turned the US Senate into newts. Salem is their chaotic child but chaotic in an actually chaos way, things just happen around her/from her magic that she doesn’t intend, and she is perpetually cross.

Just picture the sheer chaos from this arrangement. Stitch and Salem, Stitch and Inza, Khalid and Inza, Salem and Kent and Inza, actual Khalid and Stitch interactions, Khalid and Salem (who I think would be slightly more behaved with Kent around). Whatever happens from Stitch and Salem meeting has Khalid and Kent watching from a distance and sighing before doing rock paper scissors to figure out who’s getting in the middle of it.

You’re so right. I feel only Raven, Constantine, and Zatanna get any focus (sporadic, but they get stuff). Constantine got included in Spirit World but he legit did nothing the entire run? You could’ve removed him entirely and nothing would’ve changed. Meanwhile some less used magic/magic-adjacent characters could’ve been pretty interesting in it: Black Alice, Stitch, Khalid (I’m pretty sure he’s seen Egyptian afterlife personally so could’ve given general afterlife navigation help), Misfit, Zachary Zatara, Kid Devil.

I desperately need JL Dark to come back. Or even have two magic books, one with the adults and one with the kids since there’s sooo many teen/young adult magic users that the comics ignore. Titans Academy made a joke about Young Justice Dark and I need it to exist.

I absolutely despise this trend of Khalid being unable to do anything. You mean to tell me he got Bizzaro-ified, despite having the Helmet of Fate, and that Xanadu and Zatanna are restraining him? He is the most powerful magical being on Earth. He's capable of magic without the helmet and learned how to use it entirely on his own. Stop jobbing him, istg.

He didn't even need to be mentioned! He's in the future based on JSA, so they could've easily said that he ins't around to participate in this instead of making him lose offscreen!
