It was an attempt to make light of a situation. this is not a slight against people of color, this is a slight against the idea of "white privilege". It's not just people of color who share this idea. I understand that in certain areas of our world there are places where, yes, sadly, it is better to be white. There are places in this world where it is better to be muslim as well. Better to be christian. Better to be anything other than what you are. Throwing hate back at the people you think have wronged and hated you does not solve the situation it just continues the cycle of hate. hate does not cure hate. there has never been a time in which I have thrown hate in any ones direction based on their gender, creed or ethnicity and I dislike that I am being lumped into the same category as other hateful, racist, ignorant people. I am not, and will never be, ashamed of being white the same as you should never be made to feel ashamed for being a woman, A person of color, A lesbian (If that's what you're in to, I don't know, it's just to help prove my point) a christian, Muslim, anything.
