The feminine urge to write a book purely for the sake of naming my least favorite character after a home appliances brand that I hate.
I'll give the character complicated trauma about never getting anything done right when it matters most, and then giving them a character arc to better themselves along with some self discovery, because at the end of the day, they're still better than my vacuum cleaner .
#saff-ron tag#to hell with you#karcher#I've been powering through school these past few days just barely#SOS#I apologize for i must jump back into real life once again#writers on tumblr#shitposting#im so tired

The abuse cycle is absolutely my least favourite thing to talk about because of how complicated and misunderstood it is.
I’ve seen people say that it’s not Dazai’s fault when talking about the abuse cycle, and no, he is at fault. Is he at fault for starting it? No, absolutely not, we’re not even sure if Mori’s to blame for that, but he’s still at fault for continuing it.
Being abused is no excuse to abuse another, it is reason not excuse. It is Dazai’s fault that he abused Akutagawa, it is Akutagawa’s fault that he abused Kyōka.
They are still at fault for their own actions. They could have decided not to hurt them, no one was pressuring Dazai to train Akutagawa like that, just as it was the same for Akutagawa in treating Kyōka like that.
The blame for their abuse against others goes to themselves.

okay but seriously I came up to my sisters today to tell them a funny story that happened in eight grade (I was comically called a retard by a friend but had no idea what that meant so I awkwardly laughed and offered her a chip. I still cackle at the memory to this day omg like ‘okay, good for you’ + ‘here, have a cookie’ in the nicest way imaginable. I really can't remember her reaction and can't ask her cause we don't go to the same highschool plus the fact that we're not super in touch so ╮(^▽^)╭ whatever.) and they just had an entire freak out about how I'm not a middle schooler. I went through ten arcs during middle school, and I made it the three longest years of everyone's lives. My sister was going through highschool feels so i Just Went Through It™ with her. You do NOT want to meet pre-tumblr, seventh grade to first semester of eighth grade, discord mod me in my natural habitat and without the polite filter. Yeah I look back at twelve year old me with utter shame. I look at the me of yesterday with utter shame. No. I didn't go to sleep yet today. It is 5 am.

Bungou Stray Dogs- Opposite Ability AU
I really want to make a long fic that goes alongside cannon events and explains everything that would happen in this AU.
Imagine the cast of BSD, but their abilities are opposite. Like, Dazai's ability to nullify other abilities on contact becomes the ability to amplify other's abilities on contact. Since OG Dazai's ability works like an on/off switch, OPP Dazai's works on a spectrum, the more he touches someone, the more powerful their ability becomes. And, it doesn't just 'stop' when he stops touching them, the effect slowly wears off, which leaves the ability user craving the power Dazai can grant them. Instead of 'No Longer Human', they are 'Not Held by Human Binds', surpassing what power one human should be capable of.
Chuuya and Dazai are never paired up as Soukoko, because Chuuya's ability is a Singularity, meaning it becoming too powerful is the issue.
Dazai is never given Akutagawa to mentor, as Akutagawa needed to learn precision over pure power.
Dazai never leaves the Port Mafia, as his loyalty lies with Mori, it seems.
Atsushi never meets Dazai drowning in the river, never joins the Armed Detective Agency, never engages against the Port Mafia- But, he does have a bounty over his head. Several groups try their luck at capturing 'The Moonlit Tiger'
#saff ron rb tag#Genuinely invested in this oml the possibilities and new openings create a new story altogether that's so diverged yet connected to the og#I love it.

Something that will always make me want to just throw something–anything–across the room is when I put the water tap handle thing in the middle and the water just. never gets to moderate temperature. the heater is on. What More Do You Want? Is moderation just never an option? Is this a consequence of living in such a world that values ‘perfection’, when it is, in fact, but a point of view that is very relative to one's perception, as we cannot all agree to it's definition, different to something like the sun. Then again, the sun could be defined in multiple ways, be it scientific or philosophic or even artistic, and they'd all be true in one way or another, which also applies to perfection, but I digress.
I just want to say that moderation is just not as appreciated, because we all wish to attain one of the two extremes, either superior perfection or absolute chaos and demise.
It's in humanity's nature to be ambitious–for better or for worse–, and one can never know the extent of beauty and calamity that can be caused until they try. Unfortunately for that ambitious nature, reaching the true extents of something like them is quite impossible for mortal beings that cannot even outlive a mere turtle. It's slower than you, in more ways than one, so why can you not live longer? It's just how it is–health and difference in bodily structure taken into consideration–and you can do nothing about it. You might be upset about that, but why? Are you unhappy with your ‘short’ lifespan? It is relatively moderate, being put in an advantageous spot between a turtle's several century long lifespan and a cat's decade long one.
It is moderate.
The average human takes about twenty eight years to collect themself– for men, that is. If you consider serving two years in the military and repeating at least a semester or two in college before finally getting hired at a job with decent wage and saving enough to live independently. Women usually take a little less time than that, due to the absence of obligatory military time and encouraged marriage when beauty is at its peak.
A few years and the average human would've gained so much more wisdom and made more lasting decisions than they've ever done in the past two decades.
Ten more years and they're settled down now more than ever.
Another ten, and they're perhaps feeling a little old, maybe accomplished, maybe not, they lose a few friends, keep a few, and just resign themselves to preparing for retirement.
Alas, another ten, it's time to retire and receive a pension. It is boring, it is relaxing, it is it.
Most of what one would've been expected to do has been accomplished, cultural differences apply. Many would consider themselves to have lived an uneventful life if it was one such as this one, but I believe it to be moderate. You accomplished all you could during the time you've been given, and it's good to know that even if you didn't, you won't have to live with the regret too long, given the few years left on your lifespan and your inability to redeem past mistakes, declined health, overall strength being lost and so on and so forth. Happier people mostly live longer either way, and anyone above seventy five is susceptible to dementia and the like, so whatever is left of your life will be lived in blissful ignorance despite it all; it's still short if you aren't conscious through it. You're as good as dead to yourself.
It's better to live a shorter life with lesser time to dwell on regrets rather than a long one where you are heavy. Slow. Herbivorous.
Barely mobile.
Lonely.
Easily forgotten.
It's moderate. It's not always happy, it's not always sad. But it's not impossibly too long. Too much of one thing, good or bad, never comes out with a favorable outcome.
At least not without a price.
I won't ask of the louder more successful lot to care for moderate, because moderate means that you've decided to be unambitious, not striving towards either perfection or demise and whatnot. But at least they could make an effort to understand that some find moderate to be their version of ‘perfection’ or otherwise ‘demise’.
Moderate can be perfect to those who believe so.
It can be dooming to those who believe so.
As unadventurous and average as it is, it is the sweet tame and quiet sorrow that helps keep balance in such an ambitious world.
Tdlr: I need to be more patient while I wait for the water to get warmer and be grateful it'll ever get warm. Some people don't have that option... And maybe go to sleep too.
#saff-ron tag#Tomorrow's the first day of school after the holidays#I am not looking forward to it. It's three am. I went and did it. I stayed up. I said I wouldn't but I did#And that's how humans are. Forever defying expectations when it is least favorable. I shall shut up because NO I AM NOT WRITING ANOTHER ONE#OF WHAtever this is. Unless it's like. Three am again & I'm thinking about my mundane issues therefore spiraling into a philosophical rambl

y'all imagine how funny it would be if Kenji's family farm was one of Kajii's main ammo suppliers. In exchange for whatever fertilizers and machinery they might need but don't know how to barter for (how do you go up to a salesman who works in this field and ask for a tractor, offering them a considerable amount of your harvest in exchange, without being turned away immediately?), they plant lemons in ridiculous amounts and use some chemically enhanced stuff to make the lemons ripen faster.
#Imagine if Kajii and Kenji were actually buddies??#Kenji learns highly specific and obscure scientific knowledge thanks to Kajii#Kajii in exchange gets a companion who will go along with anything he comes up with while being genuinely interested#The next time he sees Kenji after finding out he's part of the agency (sometime during the cannibalism arc)#He agrees with himself that he needs to be extra careful when dealing with the Ada. He must live on. For science to live on properly#he does NOT want to be on the receiving end of the Ada's wrath ever again.#saff-ron tag#bsd#bsd kajii#bsd kenji#kenji miyazawa#motojirou kajii#kajii motojirō#miyazawa kenji

Bungou Stray Dogs Wan Chapter 181 Shall we DanceBattle?
Disclaimer: I do not speak Japanese and have no idea what I am doing so this translation may be kinda crap. I still wanted to attempt to translate the wan-chapters that have, to my knowledge not been translated yet. Enjoy!
#This chapter has practically the entire cast sans the guild (Lucy's here but she left so idk if it counts) the hunting dogs and yumeno.#And shibusawa but I do not care for him#Everyone is so silly omg I love them all#also not zenki skk going: my kid's gonna win just watch#Higuchi being shocked asf that Mori is actually admitting that Akutagawa has the advantage here is hilarious because last time she checked#Mori didn't like Akutagawa very much#Either way Fukuzawa is trying to hide it but he's being competitive

if Koyou is in charge of the torture division, then what does Chūya do as an executive? Is he in charge of something specific? I don't think he's still handling the gem trade anymore since he got promoted, proof being that when Dazai got promoted he left that job behind. We actually have very little insight on what Chūya does in the present compared to stormbringer (obviously because none of this is close to being about him but AUGH. I NEED MORE 22 CHŪYA STUFF THAT TALKS ABOUT HIS ACTUAL JOB AND LIFE AWAY FROM SHIPS.), and I both love and hate that, because yippee hcs!! And nooo I want confirmation :(((
