A little while ago I had an order for this necklace. I did a double take on the name because this is the 3rd one like this that she has purchased and also one in sterling silver. This was the message that came along with it. ❤ How special is this? 🌻 "Hi Mandy! I just had to tell you what happened to me yesterday. I was at a marina on Orcas Island and started visiting with an unknown lady. She complimented me on my necklace and asked me what it meant. When I told her, she let out a low gasp and started to tear up. I could tell she was going through something so.......I ended up giving her my necklace. I felt she needed a reminder that God is greater than the highs and lows ❤️. I did go in and order me another one from you this morning 🙂I wanted you to know that your jewelry is touching people. God is using it and He is using you. I think of you often. I can’t imagine what you are going through. It’s been 9 years since I lost my first husband and I still miss him. It never goes away. You will find a new normal but it will never be the same because they take a piece of you with them when they go. My saving grave was literally writing 3 things down each and every day that I was grateful for. I had to ‘retrain’ my brain to get back up from the gutter it had fallen into. It did work for me. My heart is now full from all the blessings I am able to see that God has bestowed. As you continue to navigate through the seasons of grief, be kind to yourself. These feet. They walk slowly. They've carried me through many tragedies and trauma. They're tired. So very heavy.....they weigh a ton.... even so, today I went for a walk. An *unexpected* walk after another *unexpected* visit concerning one of my implants (turns out, a very *unexpected* great visit, nonetheless. I love those sweet people so much.) ...... Normally, my anxiety wouldn't even think of entertaining the idea of me, in a park by myself, going for a walk. Not for a second. But, I blew past that anxiety today. I went to the place we had Alexis' 1st birthday. I walked. Slowly. I cried. A lot. I met a woman who had stopped to take a picture of a beautiful yellow butterfly. A conversation struck as I passed with tears streaming down my face. I had walked up close enough to take a photo of this butterfly but before I could, it flew off....completely out of sight. More tears. This kind soul was the only person "on this path" that I encountered today. She listened to me cry and talk about Alexis. She hugged me. Come to find out she has a studio very close to where I was and is all about inner peace, spirituality and healing. She let me know where to find her again and I took note. She offered to walk with me anytime. A stranger. Just like that. She offered me grace and compassion and she stood still and listened. She was able to get beautiful shots of that butterfly (who later came back to flutter by me further along the path.) I drove today. Much farther than my comfort zone normally would allow. I listened to music about pain and Alexis' favorite songs....and I cried. A lot..... Pulling over for the safety of others and myself whenever I needed to because the veil of tears was too thick to see. I then ran into a fellow student's mom and had a quick, but much needed conversation....and again, that hug. After that I felt refreshed. I had wore my mask for so long that my tears were held captive. Today they were released and it all started from the compassion shown to me from my amazing oral surgeon and his team.....unexpectedly. 🌻🦋☀️ P.s.
