In honor of pride month here is a pjo headcanon:

Sometime during the start of pride month the Apollo cabin starts trying to get out of chores because they have the most gays and should therefore get at least a little privilege for the gay people right? This very quickly evolves into a camp-wide race to collect as many gay people as possible by asking others to sleep over. The Aphrodite cabin starts begging Nico to sleep over (or at least pretend he does). Nico refuses, as he’s already living in the Apollo cabin. The Hermes cabin is clinging onto their queer unclaimed campers long after they’ve been claimed just for the sake of it. Most children of minor gods suddenly live in the main cabins because their friends convinced them to help out. Some Hecate kids tried to find a spell to make people realise they’re queer, but Lou Ellen quickly shut that down because it’s kinda unethical.

It also has the added effect of making it really easy for campers to come out to their cabin/friends, as it triggers a whole celebration from their peers. In the end, the little race results in so many campers feeling much more comfortable in their sexuality or even realising it because of all the discussions around camp.

I would’ve written a fic about this but I have no idea how I’d format it so it’s a tumblr post now congrats

I have this economy teacher that starts every new PowerPoint with the same picture (image added below)

The picture was made as a critique of the education system. It essentially says that the system isn’t fair because it’s completely unrealistic to expect a fish to be able to climb a tree, yeah?

The first time I saw this picture pop up on the board I was so glad that a teacher was bringing this unfairness up in class, only for that woman to use the picture as proof that the system IS fair. She then went on a 20 minute rant about how we’re all lazy and should be able to meet the same expectations, even if it is more difficult for some of us. I genuinely don’t understand how she came to this conclusion but it scares me a little that she managed to 1) become a teacher, 2) get into a leadership position at my school and 3) show this picture every few months for years to many different classes and never realise what it’s actually about

Watching my math studying video on 2x speed and all I can think about is Quicksilver, this fandom has actually rotted my brain

I was watching deadpool & wolverine with my sister (yes I’m late to the trend shh) and for some reason we started to talk about Magneto, who she didn’t know, so I told her to google him. She turned her phone to me about three seconds later claiming it didn’t work and I am met with this beautiful result

I genuinely do not understand what happens with Darwin..

So after Shaw and Azazel murder the entire CIA in order to politely ask Xavier's team if they want to peace out, Angel takes him up on the offer.

Havok and Darwin hatch an unspoken plot to gank all of these motherfuckers except Angel.

Darwin pretends to defect so that he can grab Angel and shield her from Havok's attack.

Unfortunately, the new kids have been inadequately briefed about Shaw.

He then makes Darwin eat Havok's attack.

Which burns him up and kills him from the inside.

My question though is... Like... Why can't he adapt to this? Shaw says it all mockingly like it's an established fact that Darwin can't resist Havok's attacks. Or that his insides are squishy and vulnerable and can't shapeshift the way his skin can; Like a more complicated Luke Cage.

But. Uh.

Last I checked, his powers were defined as just "Adapts to survive". Whatever harm he would face, his body changes to resist it.

So.

Why can't he adapt here? There have been no defined limitations for his ability to defensively shapeshift. I do not understand why this kills him.
