It's Sid the Cicada's baby photos.. Warms my little buggy heart. No, but seriously... How freaking cool are cicadas? And seeing their life cycle in detail...
Don't mind me i just let my dork out for a minute. (And it's pretty big, the dork, that is. )

An illustration of a Cicada who has just emerged from its pupa and a detailed diagram explaining each step of the process from the 1919 edition of the Annual report of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution.

This is a wonderfully morbid photograph which was taken in 1882 of the infamous French diva and actress Sarah Bernhardt who was fascinated with skulls, bats, and death; she purchased the sumptuous Rosewood coffin which she kept it in her bedroom, and was fond of memorizing her lines whilst reclining in its’ satin lined splendour.
"When Mme. Bernhardt is world-weary she gets into this coffin, covering herself with faded wreaths and flowers, folds her hands across her breast and, her eyes closed, bids a temporary farewell to life. A lighted candle on a votary table at her left and a death skull grinning on the floor add to the illusion. It is only when dinner is announced that the tragedienne opens her eyes and once more takes a languid interest in things material."

Stunning Image of an Argonaut!
This dazzling creature, also known as a paper nautilus, is actually a rare type of octopus! Found drifting in warm seas, female argonauts create delicate, translucent shells to protect their eggs, like nature’s own art piece. They use air bubbles to float and steer through the water.
Fun Fact: These octopus geniuses have been known to hitch rides on jellyfish for free ocean travel!
