So, this was pointed out to me by someone on Discord and I have not been able to stop thinking about it.

In the first scene showing Chosen and Dark's rampage on the internet in Flashback, Chosen is seen destroying an article titled "the most dangerous cities in America". This seems like an inconspicuous detail on paper, but really think about what this is implying.

Chosen's first instinct upon going to this site is destroying an article talking about dangerous cities, almost like he wants to destroy anything that is considered dangerous. Now think about the next shot.

Chosen and Dark are raiding Angry Birds, and what is Chosen shooting fire at? The structure housing the pigs, keep in mind that they are the bad guys in the Angry Birds series.

These may seem small but really think about what this says for Chosen's character. That he is.

Adverse to dangerous places, hence why he destroyed the article talking about dangerous cities.

During their internet rampage, Chosen was directing his attacks towards the "bad guys"

Now what does this tell us? Well it tells us that even at the beginning, Chosen was directing his attacks towards things that are generally considered bad. He is trying to eliminate the bad things that exist across the internet.

Even at the very beginning, before Chosen began to rethink his actions, his nature to protect and be safe have always been at the forefront of his mind. When you consider that preventing bad things from existing is in his nature, it makes a lot more sense why he would be against destroying Stickpage and Newgrounds. Because they aren't protecting anyone. Chosen's first instinct is to protect and that's not what they're doing.

Chosen was never a bad guy, he just didn't realize it yet and likely assumed he was made for destruction because that was the first thing he did upon being created.

also alan in the 30K livestream confirmed that the cg came from a earlier windows version (i think windows 7?) while tsc was made in windows 10, which means that red is older than tsc. also you can see that gold in avm 30 where he was a child at first playing outside with a stick, but grows older and plays corndog swords with his dad. i could tell he grew older because of his height change in king’s backstory. so gold is more like a older teenager.

how I view TCO in my AU and headcanons:

You know how in ava 9 where tco saves a random guy by destroying a boulder. Mitsi was trapped BY A BOULDER in ava 11 and died. TCO WAS TRYING TO SAVE MITSI BUT FAILED! The portals! tco is the only one that can make portals as we can see in ava 5. There was portals in ava 11. TCO TRIED TO SAVE THE OTHERS TOO!

also he didn’t want to kill the mercs when they were chasing after him, but he wanted them to stop in ava 9

When I replayed ava 11, tdl lifted his hand, wanting a high five from tco, tco looked very hesitant at first and then high five-d tdl back. Also tco was chasing after tdl to stop him, but tdl was a bit too fast to catch in ava 11. tco was called a Angel of Death by the news. Death isn’t supposed to be good or bad, but it’s supposed to do its job even though death isn’t portrayed as a bad thing in media. Also being called a Angel is a positive thing.

I feel like TCO’s redemption isn’t about turning bad to good, but trying to prove his loyalty to the stickfigure race/species and making sure his morals is on check without trying to kill any of the stickfigures the end. TCO only harmed websites used by humans and destroyed Alan’s PC because he hated humans because he gets reminded of Alan. TCO believes that stickfigures are superior to humans. The Chosen One is a hero’s name…. TCO is supposed to be the protector of stickfigures…..
