Well... the Sovereigns likely did not give themselves the titles. Daemons or humans likely gave them to each other, probably to help bolster community between Daemons and Humans, since both were given great power by them but also both have reason to rebel, and would want to show to the other that they feel the same. :P But I do agree the Sovereigns are shitheads. Every last one of them. (Yes even E'Laetum and Min'Ara. If you've seen Imperium Cataclysm, or pay attention in the Sovereign State storyline... you know how horrid they are. Maybe not as bad as the others but still <3.)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Spoilers for Reforming a Sadism Demon
VEGA- MY LOVE- MY SWEET- HE IS BACK AND HE IS BROKEN AND THIS IS HORRIFYING. And also I have some retrospectives on a bunch of theories I had/saw that were proven/disproven in this video. Starting with disrpoven theories, then proven, ones, then some additional lore.
Disproven: This incident happened before Inversion.
This is the first time I think it was mentioned that the Closeknit branch in Dahlia is the ONLY ONE THERE. There have been mentions of other branches, but I don't think it's ever been explicitly stated that there's only 1 in Dahlia unless it was in the very very first or second Blake video. I believed due to the timeline it could make sense this happened a bit before Inversion, but Vega coming back may be after? Or it happen around the same time as Inversion did. However, this is not possible since Closeknit was fully operational when the Inversion struck. They only abandoned ship after Blake sacrificed himself, and Elliot got that location reported, both of which happened at least a week after the Inversion based on the site timeline. I am a bit sad about that however it makes sense that adding Vega in retroactively may be a pain, and frankly he has more than enough to feed on in the aftermath regardless, for years at least surely. :P.
Proven: Vega was the very first Sadism Daemon.
This is VERY FUCKING COOL AND I LOVE THAT SO MUCH AND HATE IT IN EQUAL MEASURE. Obviously this explains a lot about him. He is old, he is strong, he has seen the world and has known the taste of pure magic and was obviously a very very powerful fighter, who likely had been hurt, abandoned or betrayed many many times. And it explains why he feels the burden of remembrance is on him. He is one of the first Daemons EVERY. The Chorus are likely some of the only Daemons around his age and who's to say how much of their memory they still hold. But I am glad it was confirmed that's what Anacrusis meant :P. Also the fact that
Also man- Warden and Vega and Hush meeting again happened sooner than I thought- I cannot even imagine the whiplash. Poor Warden :(((.
Semi Proven?: Hush's connection to the Sovereigns/Meridian.
Hush is an Egregore, which is an entity brought to life by force of thought alone. While it's unclear yet WHICH sovereign(s) he is connected to, I stick with my theory that he is more closely tied to the pair in the Meridian. It is unlikely that the dreams of gods trapped below the river could form something so whole, and so HUMAN. Also Hush's connection to Avior, as I wrote about before, makes me think this as well. He may well be formed from the idea of Avior, and from his and Starlight's years of hell. Their agragate humanity collected, and their concept, their personalities, their very being as physical creatures gave the idea to Min'ara and E'laetum. Again, technically not proven TRUE, but now it is very clear what Hush is at least. He is a creation of Sovereigns, created VERY recently (likely around the time of Inversion, and specifically after it) from the emptiness that always has been.
And now Additional thoughts:
"Vega. Stellar-formed, Congruent of D’Deridahn, bound in his Madrigal. Anacrusis of his Phrase. First-formed of Gravity." is Vega's full title. Now, what I find interesting is this comment about Gravity. This could technically mean 2 things.
1. Literally it's just a restatement of his being first formed. As in he was the first star who collected enough particles and gravitational force to fully coallese from the stardust.
And/Or
2. D’Deridahn is actually the Sovereign of Sadism Daemons, and Gravitons. It has been confirmed that we don't know of every sovereign or type of daemon, but it's pretty well accepted that each sovereign ruled over one magical domain of humanity, and one daemonic type. So Rak'Xit is the creator of the Inchoate, and his sacrifice is what created freelancers and is the reason why they're so much more common than other empowered groups. A'Xerahn is the Sovereign of all Concubi, and also created Vampires. Now, these two make sense, of course. And we don't know exactly which sovereign matched up to which magic type and Daemon. We know one, and in rare cases, both. But this connection between feeding off human cruelty and gravity has some merit to me. Gravity is all about strength, and power. Gravity pulls on everything around it, and the heavier an object is, the more pull it has, and the more things it can collect upon itself, further increasing it's mass and gravity. But at a point, gravity is a risk. It can pull towards it things which are destructive. Fast, heavy, or both. It can crush and crumble, burn and eventually explode in it's own strength, creating stars, supernovas... and black holes. It is powerful, and keeps things as we know it on earth in line, but it is also destructive if unchecked. And Cruelty is the same. It exists in every person, to some extent, and some level of cruelty is natural, and even needed. Envy, schadenfreude, and so forth are pretty common in people, and can actually help humans coexist. But when someone is cruel enough, they impose themselves on others. They collect people whom they have hurt, and can hurt around them, and it brings risks. Because those people CAN leave... if they're strong enough. Or they can lure someone too strong, who brings them down. Or they may simply destroy themselves through their cruelty to others, or to themselves... just as Gravity would. Maybe it's a bit too philosophical but it makes sense.
And it well could be both. I'll have to see. I didn't get to finish the Blake video so I may update if there's anything substantial in this connection in that video, proving or disproving it. But I have a feeling there won't be much.
But yeah. This new lore is great >:333. Also love that Doc was right about how Vega would be angry at being brought back. And the whole "You are young, shortsighted, and short remembered. Find one who has known me longer" is so good. Vega is back on that wordiness >:3333. WARDEN GOT THE SPOOK OF THEIR LIFE AND THEN IS GETTING ANOTHER WITH A WEIRD VEGA IN TOW- I wonder how their relationship will reform... this feels like that whole "If I lost all my memories, what's the first thing you'd tell me about myself" kind of deals and I am HERE FOR IT.
Also honestly... I love this arc. While more... literal, it expands upon the concept Vega explained of "The Vega that crawled out of that Elission well, is not the one that stands before you today." I mean he LITERALLY DIED, and was put back together incomplete, with many memories lost... but he still kept those oldest ones. Probably not all the ones he wished to keep, obviously. Many of his important memories are implied to be VERY painful... but this does kind of show his determination, even without knowing himself, that he has to remember. To be the keeper of all that knowledge, to be the keeper of all that HURT that made him him and made the world as it is, because it MATTERS to him. And I hope if/when he does get even a fraction of his old memories, or even just an idea of what they were, back... that he is able to grow from the pain... into someone even greater. :,)) And Warden too.

More yapping below. Read at your leisure :3
>:3 hehehe I am glad you like it. Also to answer your question, the reason I think that D'Deridahn and Vega could have known about the Gravity association is due to how the Sovereigns are titled. Some are based on the emotion that daemons made by them ended up having to feed on (E'laetum of Empathy, A'Xerahn of Desire, etc) while others instead are titled based on the element they ended up giving humanity (Tal'Ris of fire, N'Dexxel of Dreams, etc). So it is likely that their domains were mixed and rather expansive. I think the most likely explanation for this is that those titled by emotions did not HAVE any inherent association with a form of magic, but ended up creating a magical type of human anyway. (E'laetum created seers on accident, A'Xerahn created Vampires through an experiment gone wrong, etc). Because remember, Daemons were not associated with EMOTIONS until AFTER the cataclysm. So likely the Sovereigns were not either, and those who now ARE are likely so because they didn't have a magical domain to title them by. So Vega considering his title not to be a SADISM Daemon but maybe one born of the Sovereign of Gravity may make sense.
However it's entirely possible, and I am AWARE that this comment more likely just means he is a first daemon, potentially one of if not the first EVER formed, in a very weird way. Whether he was made in the Elision well first, or hell maybe coallesse outside and/or before it, the title refers to his birth. But I think the Gravity connection has a lot of merit personally just due to the history of Sovereigns, Daemonkind and Humanity.
(Also minor note but I do not think the CHORUS ever were stated to have imprisoned Vega. The Department did, because he broke covert and also messed with people. Unless I am misremembering. I do have some pet theories about them but they are 99.9% speculation so therefore I do not feel like sharing them here in this VERY research and evidence heavy post.)

UPDATE UPDATE (Hush EA Spoilers for 16/02/2024) Also with some Vega thoughts in there.
FUCK YEAH VEGA IS GONNA LIVE HUSH WILL FIX HIM AND HOPEFULLY FIND THE (probably traumatized) WARDEN AND BRING HIM BACK AND EVERYTHING MAY NOT BE PERFECT SINCE VEGA LIKELY WILL HAVE LOST A CHUNK OF HIS MEMORIES OR ABILITIES OR SOMETHING ELSE IMPORTANT BUT DAMMIT IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING.
Anyway... soooooo... Hush is a piece of the Spellsong. Which is really cool! It's still unclear what the spellsong specifically is/who it is currently held by (since it was described as being ripped from the Sovereigns, but it's possible it could have remained in Aria with the Chorus, OR with Min'Ara and E'laetum, potentially used to create the Meridian.) But this is really cool! Also Vega's title of "Anacrusis" (Which is defined as the first, unstressed note before the first note of a phrase) is really funky. And this is Vega thoughts now but I wonder what that title means. It could mean something as simple as He existed before the cacophony or maybe even the Spellsong itself.
Or he was one of the first who was added to that song. It could very well be made of Daemonic power brought from subjugation, and his title reflects the role he played in that song.
Similarily but alternatively, he could have been the Anacrusis to the resistance. A leader, getting a steady sound and rhythm from which a musical phrase could follow. A general of an army. Whether small or large, doesn't matter. It would still work. And as someone who absolutely believes in the General Vega idea (especially after Imperium Cataclysm and seeing what he was capable of there), it fits.
That last one I believe is most likely, however at the same time these titles related to music appear to be implied to be given by the Sovereigns, not Daemonkind. Which actually adds to my theory that he is from Min'Ara and E'laetum since they could give out such titles, and ALSO they would have reason to value and not want such people killed. Since Hush was hesitant to and out right freaked out when he did so. He considers it a mistake. A set of two directives from which he chose one, and he regrets the directive he did follow (which was to find/free the Sovereigns). The second was likely to not bring harm to Anacruses. Which he failed at.
But alas, all of this shall be explained soon enough. >:333 And I shall be here to sit confidently and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and if I'm right I can and will rub it in everyone's face <3 <3 <3.
Assorted Hush Thoughts and Theories
Warning for spoilers for Hush's Storyline, Sovereign State, Carpe Deus, and a BIT about Project Meridian and Balance potentially.
Theory #1: Hush is a piece of the Meridian
I think that we all are aware of the fact that Hush is most likely a sovereign creation. This is basically obvious from everything, from his symbol to his power to his task and his knowledge of history. He knows of the Cacophony and Vega being there. He knows of magic we have so far not seen (that being the ability to concentrate magic through a core to make it seemingly much stronger), he does not need to rift but he teleports around.
But the most common theory about him is that he is made by the Sovereigns in Death. Which is totally fair and possible, especially because he wants to free them. But I propose a slightly different idea: He is made by Min'ara and E'laetum, and may be a piece of the Meridian. This explains a lot of things better than the Sovereigns in Death idea I may argue. For example:
- The reason he does not need to rift is that rifting involves moving THROUGH the Meridian. But if he is a piece of it he can just reintegrate into it and then pop out where he needs to be. That is close to rifting but does not damage the Meridian so there would be no sign.
- The Meridian is pure magic, so he could exist in Aria. The Sovereigns in Death are very limited in the magic they can use. It is only theirs. Everything else there is human souls, and the Deathwalkers that feed off them. It may be more difficult to do. Also how would he go from death, to Aria, and then Elegy?
- It may explain why he seems unknowledgable as to HOW to free the Sovereigns. If he came from death, he likely would know how you get back, and he would know MORE about how to free those Sovereigns there. So his ignorance is... odd.
- He is described by Normae as wanting to "take the Sovereign's power for himself" which may not be entirely true of course, but it COULD be. And it is not at all seperate from freeing them. He could free them, subsume them, and then what?... well... bring them back to the Meridian so it never falls. And then, since he would be one with the Meridian he would cease to exist too. It explains a lot of how he explained his directive.
- It explains his connection to Avior. Hush is a concept. If he is the Meridian then it makes sense why he is partially one with Avior. Avior was one with the Meridian for a long time. Avior's directive is given by the Meridian and the Sovereigns in it. He is in Avior but he is NOT Avior in my opinion. He is not any character we know so far. He is just Hush.
There are a few things that would remain unanswered but I think this is a totally possible background for him.
Theory? #2: Hush's Brother
Admittedly, I do not know who exactly his brother is. It is possible to be Brachium, though this conflicts with my previous theory. It could also be Avior, due to his negative interaction with the Meridian while trapped there. It could also be one of the Sovereigns. Etc. The only characters I think it cannot be for certain are Vega, Warden and Blake due to the way he speaks to Vega and Warden, and some timeline and biological complexities and differences with himself and Blake. But I am unsure, so give your thoughts below.
Theory #3: Doc and Project Meridian
Doc is implied to have made a really fucking weird comment when first speaking to Hush. He responds to them by saying he is not a human, a daemon, OR AN ANDROID. The android comment phrasing implies that Doc asked about that SEPERATELY and SPECIFICALLY which is very fucking strange. Because who would have the first thought when looking at someone that they are an android? Why would they even think this such a real possibility to ask about, unless they knew about Project Meridian. Maybe not directly. But they likely do know. And this is actually quite nice because if I am right, this means the project is large scale and established by the time Doc and Hush met (which is around if not before Inversion), meaning all the current videos likely take place around 2021-2023 at the latest, if not earlier. Though due to how little it has done it is probably later rather than earlier in that possible set of dates. And this has kind of made me hope for more Project Meridian content and maybe even timeline confirmation some time... soon.
Additional Thoughs
- Warden, Vega and Hush will most certainly interact again. If for no other reason than they are the most knowledgeable on the Meridian, as well as potentially because Warden may want Revenge, or may try instead to get Vega back through him. They have no one else. They abandoned everything, everyone. They betrayed the world for a goal that they barely even understand from a daemon who is dead in the dirt as far as they know.
- Hush may be the reason Blake was pulled into Death. I think Hush is very old, though he has been asleep or unconscious most of that time, but the other Sovereigns know of him at least a bit, and need something to keep him in check. That, or instead to lure Hush if he is working to benefit the Sovereigns or they believe that at least.
- Hush feels like he has more imperium reference. He feels like he would fit there better. And that is so fascinating to me. I cannot provide direct proof it is just a feeling.
And I think that is all?? :)) Feel free to offer your thoughts too! Or correct stuff if I missed anything.

Inversion | Lost and Found
Summary: Warden witnesses inversion after being left alone... but in the pain and destruction is power... and a sliver of hope. And maybe, just maybe, a moment of reflection. As Vega would have wanted <3.
1.1k Words
CWs: Descriptions of mass death, mass panic, mild description of dead bodies, mild drowning imagery, Inversion is it's own CW.
Spoilers for Carpe Deus, including the February 7th video.
"Come. Quick."
Warden opened their eyes, bleary and burning, wiping tears from their face. They could feel the breath jump in their throat a familiar voice invading their mind. Quiet. Desperate. Far away yet so close. For a moment they could have sworn it a hallucination. It must have been. There was no pulse in the demon they held in their arms. No magic coursing through non-existent veins, no life burning in dull black eyes. But they stilled anyway and listened. For an echo, for a whisper, for SOMETHING...
"Darling... Stadium... now."
They didn't need to be told twice, standing up, jewellery clattering as the body Warden held in their grasp fell to the floor with a sick splat. A body with no owner, an image with no soul.
Maybe it was insane for them to believe the voice in their head. Maybe this was a trick to lure them and catch them too. But if there was a chance to see him again, just a chance, they would take it. They opened a rift, grabbing a fist full of jewellery and dragging it through, letting the rest of what remained of Vega disappear with the rift, as did their own body, though they reformed on the other side, now adorned in all that he wore. All those gold chains and small sparkling jewellery adorning horn and ear and neck and arms, and soft black silk cloaking their figure as they felt the world come to... and the inconceivable weight of destruction. They turned towards a large stadium that stood before them, ward set high, leaving the world around it quiet and peaceful in the night, illuminated by soft torches and passing cars. But they were a demon. They could hear the screaming, the crying, and an unmistakable splash of water, louder than any other. It crawled into their ears, gripped at their throat, poured itself down, down, down... and from that raging water came, again, a voice.
"The ward's not fully enclosed yet. Get inside. Now."
They rifted again, feeling the threads of Aria meld with Elegy. Feeling for a hole. For a weakness. For any sliver of space... and just in time, their fingers found an empty space, and they fell through, hearing the closing of the last ward behind them. There was no way out of this now... they were trapped here, with people pushing past them, running and tripping and screeching, begging to be let out. But the ward stayed, as the shadows grew darker, and darker.
"Shades. 30 so far. More to come. Feed on everything you can get your hands on. If you want to protect anyone, you'll need that strength."
The pain of thousands was bitter on their tongue, burning their way down. But that voice was right. There was nothing they could do if they did not drink in what they could. Oh they hated the taste... but as power swelled deep in their chest, it became easier... Vega always said it would be... they didn't believe him. They should have. A shade came closer, and with a single slash of Warden's hand, it was gone, and the relief that came from those who saw was strong. But Warden had to keep moving. Those few who stayed calm tried to rally those crowds of helpless, get them to safety, but it would do little. Maybe it was better that way. Strong emotion gave more fuel. It gave more to do. Warden cut through what they could, one by one. It wouldn't be enough, of course. The shades grew stronger as they ran hall to hall, floor to floor. They grew strong. Sturdy. Gorged on life and magic, but still not match for a Demon. Especially not one with so much to feed upon. And Warden made damn sure to TAKE everything they could. They did not feed passively, no. They stole every ounce of sorrow, and pain, and fear and panic. Brought a wave of sombre calm everywhere they went, replaced with more fear moments later. But it was something they could do. Maybe the only useful thing they could do. They'd do it again if they had to. Over. And Over. And Over.
Soon they found themselves amongst the bleachers, seats empty, drinks and food dropped and spilt, stinking of sweat and blood and sweet relish. The most pungent of condiments. And below, was more madness, but they forced themselves still, to watch. To plan. Running blindly would win them nothing. And they watched as the air itself in the centre of the stadium rippled, and snapped, people falling below the black water, left lifeless under another wave of shades, more hungry than the last. And once again, the hole closed, quivering and weeping, but unable to remain open. The shadows grew darker still, the light of the setting sun swallowed by that mass of destructive hunger that terrorized the people below... and suddenly the screams began to grow quiet. One group began to strategize. Shifters grouped around, and earth elementals burrowed into the ground, where people fled. The more those shades fed, the more corporeal they became. They'd need to pass through a wall of defence to hurt those below. It was smart.
Another group flocked around watch towers, climbing and coordinating, barking commands they could even hear from up so high. They saw a demonic ward come up, a small surefire defence. It must have been too much for them. It would have been for Warden too... it should have been. Maybe they were more sadistic than they thought. But these waves of calm seemed all too fluid. All to exact. Mobs did not calm with solemn words, humanity alone could not make logic trump emotion in that little time. Another Demon was here, burning through pain and fear faster than they knew how to... and there was surely only one who could...one who would...
"Hehehe~... Perceptive. I'm impressed. You've grown bolder, little Warden. But there's more to feed on. Considering who we're up against, we'll need all the power we can get. This buffet won't last forever... and we can't save the people here. Only those outside can try... so why not make the most of their... sacrifice..." They turned, only to meet the chest of a familiar figure, cloaked in shadow, eyes bright as the sun, and growing brighter still. "Would you like to join me?"
"Don't even ask. What do you need me to do."
"Hahahaha~... that's my Warden~."

EA Spoilers (06/02)
... Vega :((... I swear this video better not be the last we see of him (Since Imperium is likely not coming back and I am doubtful there will be other AUs for a while, or any flashbacks with him because... well... there is little to flashback to outside of learning lore). The title is one reason I think this isn't the end. Deferred judgment cannot really relate to Warden nor Hush. Hush did not defer judgment, since he is so trigger-happy, and Warden doubtfully could provide judgment. So applying the title to Vega, it would make sense that his judgement would be deferred because he was removed from Elegy for potentially a while. Also, the fact that the series title, "Carpe Deus", is there, also seems weird but I have few thoughts on what it could mean. ajhdgajhgd. Also, the sound effects used for his death caught my attention. After all, there has been one and only one canonically confirmed daemon DEATH in this channel's history, that being Imperium Brachium, who expended all his magic. And Vega said that Warden would have also died had they used up all of theirs. Now, Hush HAS attacked and 'killed' several demons that we know of, however, we have no proof they have ceased to exist fully. Their physical bodies were surely destroyed (except those in Aria who are much more likely to just be gone) but there is not yet confirmation of their DEATHS as far as I know. So there's a chance Vega may just be back in Aria. And just... story wise I think it'd be a bit cheap to have someone so relevant to the lore, but not actually all that relevant to most watchers of the channel be killed off. His character arc has had little room to breathe, his story has not been elaborated on almost at all, etc. It could be INTERESTING to have someone so strong and relevant die, sure. But so many little details feel off. Yknow?? :P. Maybe I am just very hopeful because I do love Vega a lot as a character, and find his story fascinating. And also I worry for Warden because what would they do without him? I mean all of this happened even before Inversion. I could imagine they could try to use Inversion to gain power but it may be hard. And they would have basically no direction since Vega kept so many secrets. And I DOUBT they went back to the department after this. I shall be waiting for the official release with bated breath, and seeing what happens from there regardless though. I love Vega so much and will continue to in perpetuity. Crossing my fingers that his playlist does not get the completed marker placed on it <3

WOO- my first proper animatic is done >:)))) It's a class project so there were some limitations in terms of camerawork and sound, and we only had a week to finish the thing, but it was fun >:333 (I will add an edit with the source of the audio because I will not know until my next class ^^;) I hope to make more in the future both for these silly boys, AND for musicals, I like :3. We shall see when I have time though.

An angel and a werewolf walk into a cafe. It's going to be a good day. <3 And with that, my rainbow Redacted series has come to a close! I may revisit the concept with some other colours and characters but I am REALLY happy with my progress the past several weeks, and the colour constraints' impact on my art <3. And just... being able to test on and find love for new stylistic techniques through it :333. I will be taking a small break for a week or two to catch up on some University assignments, and hopefully complete my giant trove of Redacted Character Design mock ups to post here >:))) So be prepared for that giant trove soon enough hehehehehe.
