Her free hand slowly traces up your neck, closing in on your chin, leaving an enticing yet familiar trail of warmth in its wake that seems to send a delicious shiver down your spine. A contrast to the cold brick wall that’s uncomfortably pressed against your back.]

Y/N: Caesar… What’s up with you today?

[Your question goes unanswered. But a subtle glint in her eyes catches your attention. A slight crack in her stern demeanor. Could this display of power possibly be an act of some sorts?]

Y/N: Are you-

Caesar: Hush. You won’t be teasing me this time.

[Surprised by her abrupt interruption, you can’t help but admire this new act she’s put on. It’s… pretty hot. And noticing your eyes widen with a new sense of admiration, a soft blush colors her cheeks, almost reveling under your appreciative gaze. However, she quickly catches herself and shakes her head, bringing forth the stern expression she donned before.]

Caesar: Stop looking at me like that.

Y/N: Like what?

Caesar: Like… that.

[Her hand leaves your chin for a moment to vaguely wave at your face, gesturing to whatever it seems to have caught her eye.]

Y/N: What? I never seen you act so... stern. I kinda like it.

[Caesar, of course, felt her cheeks warm up once again at your compliment. A common red hue enveloping her cheeks anew. It sure left a chip on her facade until she catches herself and stared you down more intensely. Hoping that she won't fall for a simple compliment again...]

Caesar: Y/N... You're killing my "Tough Girl" personality.

Y/N: Oh really?

Caesar: [blushes] Y-Yeah!

[Something is up. She knows you're going to say something, or do something, that will potentially shatter this "meticulously crafted" pretense she has been displaying. Whether or not she should be cautious, a small, curious part of her mind wishes to know what you'll do. Even if the possibility of it being a tease is high.]

Caesar: Me!

[Damn it! How could you?! Why did her instincts take over and get her to answer... With such joy and pride to boot. She even felt the lingering warmth of her cheeks spread out to the rest of her face and neck, almost to the point you would mistake her for a tomato!]

Caesar: Ahhh... Y/N!

Y/N: HAHA!!! It was just an act, wasn't it? I knew you were too gentle to play the part!

Caesar: Shut it! Don't say it out loud!

[It's embarrassing as it is to have you mention it so blatantly. But in spite of it, her shoulders start to relax, and she finally lets out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. And as quickly as the firmness of her gaze dissipated, she lets go off your wrists and wraps her arms around your waist the way she knows how. Tight but with a gentle warmth to it.]

Caesar: Damn you...

[Although she failed to put on the "Stern Leader" act, somewhat like Lucy's. Which apparently is the reason why she started this whole ordeal. Being her usual self is a lot more rewarding than she thought. That guise wasn't her style anyway.]

Y/N: There she is... our tough little Overlord.

Caesar: Hey, I said shut it...

[There wasn't any bite to her words at all. Just a soft, playful voice talking to a friend she had the pleasure to be close with.]

Word Count: 1500 Fluff/Friends to Lovers? Oneshot

[Along your way back to Liyue, you thought you could visit Ganyu up at Mt. Aocang. Sure, it was a long journey ahead, but it has been quite a while since you two last talked. With an underlying resolve, you puff up your chest confidently and stride forward towards your first challenge of the week. It was a grueling trip up the mountain, but you fought through with determination and excitement.]

Y/N: I keep forgetting that this mountain is too high up for my own good…

[After muttering your thoughts out loud, a deflated sigh escapes your lips as you continue up the mountain with your resolve waning with each step. Once you finally reach the peak of Mt. Aocang, accompanied by your legs trembling beneath you, you pat yourself on the back for getting this far. Taking in the sweet air of tranquility, you notice a horned figure hunched over a stone table in the distance.] 

Ganyu: Zzzzzzz…

[You, of course, approach her with a hint of curiosity and anticipation,taking in the sight of her peaceful visage while she dozes off on the stone table with her arms under her head as an alternative cushion.] 

Y/N: Ganyu?

Ganyu: Zzzzzzzzzz…

[As you stand beside the sleeping Ganyu, you can’t help but admire the vulnerable and adorable sight before your very eyes. You just wanted to pinch those soft cheeks of hers right off! Following your effusive adoration over her drowsy cuteness, the subtle shine on her horns grabs your attention. You occasionally ask her about it, but she often dismisses the topic before switching it to something else entirely.] 

Y/N: Hmm…

Ganyu: Hnngh… Zzzzzz…

[The sounds of Ganyu’s drowsy groans make her 10x cuter as she shifts in her sleep. After her head turns onto the other cheek, you notice her horns are more apparent than usual… You have this urge to just… touch them. I mean, for curiosity’s sake, of course. What harm could possibly happen? With your hand already reaching over, you ran a finger along its sleek form, almost surprised by how smooth it is. The touch, although brief, took an immediate effect on her as it sent shivers down her spine, causing her eyes to shoot wide open along with her hands flailing up to cover her horn.] 

Ganyu: Eep! W-Who was tha-… O-Oh! I-It’s just you Y/N…

[The entirety of her body has gone rigid from the sudden stimulated appendage. Maybe you shouldn't have touched her horn like that… But after what seemed like an eternity, her shoulders began to relax, her mind slowly grasping the situation in front of her - while keeping her hands carefully wrapped around her horns in case your impulsiveness comes out again.] 

Y/N: I’m uh… I am sorry about that. I have just been curious about your horns for a while. And I kinda just-

Ganyu: [blushing] I-I understand, Y/N… Yet it's rude to touch my horns out of the blue… T-They're sensitive.

Y/N: Y-Yeah, it was my bad... I'm sorry. But it looked so captivating under the orange sun's rays that I couldn't help myself.

[The unexpected compliment about her black-red horns stirred something inside of her, something she never thought she would have felt until now. The crimson hue on her cheeks, which almost glows from the setting sun's rays, has encapsulated the beauty of her face and features. Nothing more could possibly make this moment intimate as your eyes meet for a single moment, nearly entranced by each other's presence, before looking away out of embarrassment. But as you look away, you manage to catch a glimpse of her face, her eyebrows furrowed and her eyes... distant as if in thought.] 

Y/N: Are you… Are you oka-

Ganyu: You have my consent.

Y/N: Wait, what?

Ganyu: I-I-…. If you think my horns are considered… “captivating”. Then I do not mind giving you the privilege to uhm... t-touch them.

[You aren't sure if you heard her correctly. Maybe it is your impulsive mind acting up again... However, her thoughtful gaze turns up to meet yours, almost confirming her statement as she continued.]

Ganyu: Just… Be gentle with them, o-okay?

[It takes you some time to process her words, her gentle, anxious voice tempting you out of your trance-like state, and following after, you feel your hands be held by hers in such warmth and tenderness.]

Y/N: I uhm... Are you sure?

Ganyu: Yes.

Y/N: Are you really su-

Ganyu: Yes.

[Her eagerness surprises the both of you, and right after she processed how insistent she acted, she covers her face with her hands, feeling how warm her cheeks are growing under the palm of them, and hope that the ground below her would swallow her right up. At this moment, you hesitate. You weigh your options and thought that... this might be a big step into something more intimate. So emboldened by this belief and her flustered state, you take in a deep breath before taking this chance she presented to you.]

Y/N: ...Alright.

[With a tentative glance toward her horns, you slowly inch closer to her, gauging for any possible signs of discomfort. Once there is none, you finally reach over until your hands graze along her smooth and delicate horns.]

Y/N: Wow... I never thought it would be this smooth.

Ganyu: Uuuuwah...

[Ganyu winces under your touch, displaying her horns' sensitivity. Your fingers brush along the smooth surface of her curled horns, feeling every inch of it with curiosity and care. However, your hands begin to rouse some of these unknown feelings that has been growing withing her. The very feeling she kept bottled up within her very core. Her whimpers were barely audible as she continues to endure this new, unbearable sensation. In spite of her willingness for you to continue, you slowly loosen your hold around her horns out of guilt, feeling that you're pushing a limit over it's boundaries.]

Y/N: Ganyu? I can stop if you want?

[Right as you voice out your concerns, along with with your grip nearly loosened around her horns, two hands shoot out unexpectedly and caught your wrists from moving away. It momentarily shocked you before you stare down at a flustered, confused... and surprisingly content goat.]

Ganyu: N-No... Please, continue. This is... This is new for me. I-I never thought I possess such... Powerful emotion.

[She pulls your hands back to her horns, urging for you to continue, and as she did , you notice the slight glint in her eyes as she looks up at you, a sign of trust and warmth in her soft demeanor. She's putting her full faith in you to be gentle with her, to cater to the sensation that has built up for the past few years when in close proximity to you.]

Ganyu: Y/N... I trust that you be gentle with my horns... With me...

Y/N: Y-Yeah, don't worry, I'll be gentle.

[With your fingers carefully wrapping around her delicate horns, you felt her body tremble under your tender hold, almost shaking like a leaf at the overwhelming sensation. Her hands tightly clutch your wrists, her nails leaving subtle crescent indents on your skin, before she completely doubles down and almost numbs your entire hand.]

Ganyu: Hnnn... pant Hmnnn... pant Ahn...

[Whimper after whimper, the sounds of her vulnerability begins to fill your ears. You look away with regret that maybe you're pushing her over her limit. But then, you felt something press against your chest, something warm and... giggly? Which is odd in this current scenario. As curiosity wars over your worries, you soon look down to see a rather unexpected, yet adorable sight.]

Ganyu: Hmmm... Hehe~

[You watch Ganyu rest her head against your chest with a content smile on her soft, supple lips. A stark contrast to her earlier distress. You thought that, "Why? How come she's no longer overwhelmed?" And the answer was simple. She trusted you, with all of her being. You were gentle and careful, as she expected you to be.]

Y/N: Ganyu...? Are you okay?

Ganyu: Hm? Oh yes... I am alright, Y/N.

Y/N: For a second you were-

Ganyu: In immense distress? Y-Yes... However, I trusted you to be careful with my horns.

[Her head slowly lifts up to meet your gaze, complete with a smile and certain glint in her eyes that pertains to... adoration? You're not sure, but you do know that she seems utterly content with the circumstances you have brought yourselves into, and maybe, juuuuust maybe... something might spark between you two.]

Ganyu: And you proved me right... Thank you, Y/N. Thank you for being gentle with me...

[With her smile growing softer and her hands slowly reaching up to your cheeks, a thought crosses your mind as she pulls your head down to face her. That in this moment... This will be the start of something new.]

[Venture's ears perk up at the sound of your arrival and cheerful voice. They slowly peer over the couch to find you at the end of the hallway, flashing them a smile that radiates absolute bliss. Out of excitement and utter joy, they quickly hop over the couch and rushed over to you with their arms open wide.]

Venture: Y/N! You're here!

[Before you know it, you get pulled into Venture's tight but surprisingly tender embrace.]

Venture: Oh c'mere you...

[Venture's head nuzzles into your chest with their arms firmly wrapped around you, having no intention of letting you go. Until the sound of something shuffling behind you alerts their ears.]

Y/N: Rocks? Yup! From sweet and savory candies to aesthetically cool minerals!

[The moment you confirm their guess, a dumb, cheerful smile slowly comes to their lips, which quickly turns into a fit of squeals filled with extreme, unadulterated joy. Venture sure is happy as they quickly lunge forward in your direction, tackling you onto the ground and pulling into a long, tight HUG.]

Venture: Heheheheheee!!!

Y/N: Glad you like it...

[Despite the discomfort of having your back against the hard ground, the warmth in Venture's embrace completely eradicates the sensation before they start nuzzling their head against your chest once again. It's an adorable sight in all honestly... After a minute or so, they lift their head and gaze upon your face in slight awe, muttering between the lines of...]

Venture: [blushes] Marry me...

Y/N: Hmm? Said something?

[Realizing their mistake, they quickly scamper off of you and blurted out an apology as they held your gift tightly in their grasp.]

[Upon your arrival to the tall administrative building of Fontaine, Palais Mermonia, you slowly climb up the stairs to her office, finally being able to hang out with Furina after a long day of adventuring. Hopefully, she isn't too busy today... Once you enter the office where Furina resides, you find her on a plush sofa enjoying a delectable and sweet macaron from the assortment of confectionaries on the coffee table before her. While her lovely summoned entourage keeps her company.]

Furina: Mhmm~ This macaron tastes better than yesterday's! Ohoho!~

Y/N: Hey Furina! How is it going?

[Your soft voice caught her attention as she snapped her head in your direction, with a gentle blush hugging her cheeks.] 

Furina: Y-Y/N?!

[This should not be a surprise to Furina - considering the fact that you usually pop out of nowhere when you feel like it - but she still feels a little shocked to have you visit her so casually. Even though she is THE "Hyrdo Archon", it doesn't seem to bother you in any shape or form.]

["Mademoiselle?" That word alone made her flustered to bits as she turned away to hide her embarrassed and now prominent crimson red cheeks.] 

Furina: (Hoo… This is so embarrassing… Are my cheeks red? Oh no… Wait… No! Keep yourself together, Furina! You are the “Hydro Archon” for crying out loud! Show them what you're made of! You can do this! I can do this!!!)

[After mumbling to herself for a moment, she clears her throat once again before she turns back to you with a playful smirk, hoping to get back at you for making her feel butterflies in her stomach.] 

Furina: Oho?~ As much as I love to enjoy a cup of tea with you, I have some important business to attend to at this very moment. Very important! One cannot possibly understand the sheer importance of this very "business."

[What she means by "important business" is her lounging on the sofa with the rest of her delicious confectioneries. Once she tells you the so-called "news," she puffs her chest confidently with her arms crossed in front of her, feeling very smug about her lie as she looks at you with a prominent smirk tugging on her lips.]

Y/N: Wait... Really?

Furina: Mhm! However, since you are a very close friend of mine, maybe I can clear my schedu-

Y/N: No worries! I can visit you another time.

Furina: ...H-Huh?

[That was... That was unexpected. Her proud and smug demeanor immediately drops, leaving a dumbfounded and stunned girl with no clue how to continue.]

Furina: N-Now hold on a minute...

Y/N: Do not worry, Furina! I understand you are a very busy lady. So I will leave you to your meeting.

Furina: H-Hold on a minute, I said!

[Immediately after you clutch the door handle, her body tenses up at the sudden realization of your departure, which suddenly drives her primal instincts to stop you. She quickly hops off the sofa and dashes forward in your direction, almost tripping over herself in the process.]

Furina: Y-Y/N! Let me finish!

[The sound of her annoyed groan was pretty cute as she spun you around before slamming her hands on the door behind you, an attempted “Kabedon” on full display. Unfortunately for her, she is a few inches shorter than you to be somewhat intimidating. Even her face SCREAMS adorable.]

Y/N: ...Cute.

Furina: [blushes] S-SHUDDUP! You...

[A sharp huff leaves her lips before her eyes search for yours with an intense glare, expecting you to be at least uncomfortable or flustered by her proximity.]

Furina: Now that I finally have your attention...

[She clears her throat once again before her hands begin to pull away from the door, letting her proximity linger a little longer, then brushing any dirt off her gloves and straightening herself up to look proper in front of you. Once she is ready, she slowly puts a hand to her chest, making her appear more prideful and confident, and finally declares in a theatrical manner.]

Furina: As I said before, regardless of my “busy” schedule, I have planned to clear my schedule for the whole week. Do you want to know why~?

Y/N: Why?

Furina: [sighs] Because I want to spend time with you! My goodness…

[You know what you were doing. You intentionally play dumb to have her admit her feelings and desires, cracking through that flamboyant facade to see Furina's true self. It is a captivating and fruitful sight to behold, seeing the "Hydro Archon" blush before your very eyes.]

Y/N: That's why I love the thought of calling you my "Moon" one day...

[After their unexpected confession, Arlecchino feels their tender hold begin to loosen, reminding her of the inevitable. Their body slowly turns limp as they lean their whole weight further into her body, desperately trying to feel her warmth against their weak frame.]

Arlecchino: I-...

[Arlecchino watches the light in their eyes slowly diminish with every word they speak. In spite of it, she gave them a firm nod, wanting to accomplish one last request before they leave her.]

[Soon after their death, her arms unexpectedly begin to wrap around Y/N's body, lowering herself down to her knees with them cradled close to her heart, feeling the need to keep them close despite the things she has done.]

[It takes some time for her to process everything that has happened, and once it dawns on her that the one she had cared for is deceased in her arms, her tears begin to trickle down her cheek, another emotion she had never thought she could display out front.]

Arlecchino: This was never meant to happen... If you would have listened to me you wouldn't have been-...

[She doesn't want to finish her own statement once she gazes down upon the peaceful expression that rests on your face. It was heartbreaking to see them in this state, and the realization that they have thought she never reciprocated their feelings back shatters her heart into a million pieces.]

Arlecchino: Y/N... My sweet Y/N... How I would have loved to call you my shining "Star"...

[Her hands begin to slide up to their cheeks, feeling the need to have them face her, even if it hurts to see them so... lifeless.]

Arlecchino: My... My shining "Star"... Oh why did I have to kill you...

[Those words of regret slowly fill her mind, and this all could have been avoided if YOU hadn’t come out of your hiding place. But who can she blame for all this? They were afraid, it is normal to be… And not only they were afraid for their own lives, but they were afraid for Hers too…]

[The tears in her eyes begin to trickle down upon Y/N’s cold but soft face, letting every droplet caress their features with a gentle brush of regretful longing. [Today is FINALLY the day where you two are able to hang out during her spare time. Also, having Tighnari allow it was a huge bonus as well. The two of you start walking down the path out of Gandahara Ville and onto your usual hang-out spot where you first hung out.]

[Immediately after you reach your destination. The both of you start talking about different topics, such as "Where did you go?" or "What sights did you see?" While carefully stirring away from any theme that may trigger some of her trauma.]

[She pulls out a small but humble basket behind her, which you didn't realize she was hiding till now, and pulls out two freshly made Pitas for the two of you.]

[Upon handing your Pita, your hands brushed against each other. Knowing that this contact may have caused some discomfort, you quickly pulled your hand away and apologized.]

Y/N: I... Uh... Are you alright?

[You soon realize that instead of the usual stiff reaction she would display, she showed something more... sheepish? The hint of a rosy hue starts to fills her cheeks, and you swear you could see steam coming off her head.]

Y/N: Jeez Venti... Relax with the alcohol for once.

[Venti is smiling away while he gets carried in Y/N's arms, feeling both content and drunk due to his excessive amounts of alcohol consumption. He leans his head against their shoulder with his arms wrapped around their neck.]

Venti: Whaaaaaaaat... Come on, Y/N... It taste sho goooood~

Y/N: And? I don't want to keep carrying you out of Angel Share, every time you drink too much!

Venti: Shaddduuuuuuppp~ Liquor is best when drunk...!

[Venti starts giggling as he starts singing in a drunken fashion, with his head leaning comfortably on their shoulder. In one of his lines, Y/N starts noticing their name referenced a few times, but before they can say anything about it, they feel Venti's arm pull their head closer to him as he starts to doze off with a peaceful expression.]

Y/N: Damn it, Venti... Wake up.

[Of course, Venti was too deep in his sleep to respond to their words. A defeated sigh leaves their lips as they continue to carry Venti around with them, trying to find a good place for Venti to rest in.]

Venti: Zzzzzzzz...

[Venti snores as he gets comfortable in their arms. But under that peaceful expression, there is a wide awake and sober Venti, who faked his intoxicated state to be in their presence a little longer.]

[On their peaceful walk down the streets of Mondstadt, they hear something coming closer and closer to them from behind]

Y/N: It must be the wind.

[But with each step they take, the sounds get even closer, it sounds like someone's calling their name]

Y/N: I wonder what that could be?

[Once they finally turn around, they find themselves colliding into something, before feeling the hard, cold stone floor beneath them]

Y/N: Oww...

[Their eyes open to see Amber's flushed face inches away from theirs, her body against their own before jumping up to her feet and stepping away from them with her awkwardness palpable]

Amber: I-I'm so sorry! I tried to get your attention but you couldn't hear me since I'm so high up and I-

Y/N: It's okay.

Amber: W-What...?

Y/N: I'm fine. Not even a scratch!

[Y/N helps themselves up, grabbing the glider that Amber used and giving it back to her with a smile]

Y/N: Are YOU okay?

[Amber blushes even more by your selfless act as she takes the glider back from you with a smile of her own]

Amber: T-Thank you... And yeah, I'm okay.
