“Thank you, thank you! It was an honor to have you all here tonight!” Solaris humbly bowed to the audience of toons as applause erupted, roses and lilies cascading onto the stage in waves.
The actors mirrored his salutation, their heads bowing to the crowd. Solaris opened one eye, gaze scanning across the theatre.
Empty seats outweighing the occupied was the first thing he took notice of. A subtle frown tugged at the corner of his mouth, quickly straightened by the charismatic smile he plastered on in the presence of others.
When Gardenview was still bustling with the activity of children and handlers, there was rarely a time Solaris’ theatre was less than full.
Children, parents, and toons alike gathered in the auditorium for the slightest chance of getting front row seats to his latest act. As much as he adored the recognition, the constant demand for a show was inevitable in exhausting him.
Over time, the urge to rip every script Sebastian shoved into his hands apart grew stronger. “Play your part. Do your job.” He would scold, tone belittling. Solaris’ hands instinctively clenched into fists at the faint memory of his handler’s words.
He took in a breath. Now is not the time to dwell on the past, he reminded himself. He stood straight, clearing his throat to rid his voice of any lingering traces of resentment, and spoke.
“Truly, standing before you all is a privilege I’m unworthy of. Have an amazing night!”
The curtains drew slowly, shielding the blinding spotlight from his eyes, yet doing little to muffle applause. Solaris suppressed a sigh of relief as the feeling of eyes on him from every angle faded.
He turned to his actors, watching as they slowly trickled backstage to discard of their costumes and chatted among themselves. What about, he could hardly care any less.
“Glisten, you looked so.. detached through the play. You kept staring off into the distance. Is something wrong?” Asked Tisha, tone coated in concern.
Aside from cleaning, checking on every toon’s well-being had always been a habit of hers. Solaris took it as Shelly rubbing off on her.
Truthfully, he found their bond rather cliché. They were near opposites— Shelly dug in the dirt nearly every hour in search of ancient fossils and relics, while Tisha spent her time wiping the same surface until it was gleaming. What exactly drew them together? It was hard to say.
Their influence on eachother was significant. Rather than scatter them across her room, Shelly subconsciously organized her fossils in a small corner area, all meticulously labeled and polished.
Solaris had never been there, of course. The only reason he had even a vague idea of what it looked like was through Magixy constantly blabbering about it.
He could hardly even begin to wrap his head around how it was possible to spend so much time around somebody that one begins to lose parts of themself to imitate them.
“Hm? Oh, yes, yes. There’s no need to fuss over me, Tisha. As always, I’m perfect. I was simply watching Kieran in the crowd.” Solaris suppressed an eye roll.
He had never met Kieran himself, but with how much Glisten spoke about them, he may as well have. “They looked so proud. Their smile is just the sweetest thing, wouldn’t you agree?”
Solaris couldn’t bring himself to listen any longer. He pulled the curtains back slightly with a hand, peering into the audience. Most of everyone had left, leaving the two toons he knew would linger— Kieran and Belle. Why he allowed them attendance to begin with was beyond him.
Belle had long since fallen asleep in her seat, her bell collar ringing quietly with every breath. ‘What a waste of a good seat’, Solaris thought. He couldn’t fathom why she would plead to be allowed in the theatre just to wind up wasting space.
“Solaris!” Kieran called. The sound of their voice alone was enough to make Solaris’ claws dig into the red fabric of the curtains. “Great play. Is Glisten coming out soon?”
“..Let me speak with him. I’ll get back to you.” The moment the curtain concealed him, Solaris released a frustrated sigh and ran a hand over his face.
He despised toons like Kieran. Stubborn, headstrong, and determined— irritatingly so.
He opened his mouth, pausing before the next words could begin to form. Glisten was absent, his presence replaced by Tisha sweeping dust, petals, and loose fabric scraps into a pile.
“Tisha,” he began. “I regret to disturb your cleaning, but do tell me. Where is Glisten?”
“Getting out of costume in the left wing dressing room. He shouldn’t be much longer.” She replied, leaning her broom against the wall and reaching for her feather duster in its place. “Right. Thank you.”
Solaris turned on his heel, the sound of his shoes clicking against the floorboards hardly enough to cover the sound of Tisha mumbling to herself, likely about how ‘grimey’ the theatre was.
He pushed the backstage door open, the hallway silent as he walked, hands tucked behind his back and posture straight. Just before reaching the dressing room, he paused, eyes catching a poster plastered to the wall.
It just had to be hers. ‘Win Prizes with Vee!’ It advertised in bold letters. Every detail of the poster seemed to mock him. Solaris wouldn’t be surprised if her eyes followed him as he walked.
Never taking his eyes off of the poster, he slipped off a glove and rose his claws to the poster, swiping his hand down and shredding it with a rip that echoed through the silent hallway.
He slowly lowered his hand, the jagged strips of what remained of the poster struggling to remain adhered to the wall. Solaris stepped back, wordless as he pulled his glove back over his hand.
“Now, then..” He muttered, turning away from the poster. Solaris knocked lightly three times, though made no move to reach for the doorknob. “Glisten? It’s Solaris. Are you still in there?”
If he was, Glisten took his time in responding. Solaris could just barely make out the familiar sounds of fabric rustling, the only indicator somebody was inside at all. “Hello-o? Glisten? Are you alright?”
There was little response. “If you don’t want to talk with me, I understand, but I’d prefer you communicate why. Have I upset you?”
Solaris began to feel as if he was speaking to a brick wall. He felt like a fool, standing in the expanse of the hallway and expecting a response from someone he wasn’t even sure was there.
“..Alright. Well, I simply came to let you know that Kieran is expecting your arrival. Come out whenever you’re ready.” He stepped back from the door, a concerned frown tugging at the corners of his mouth.
‘..I’m sure he’s fine. We all have our moments.’ He thought, though whether or not he truly believed the words he assured himself with was debatable.
He considered— briefly— returning to the stage and informing Kieran, but the thought of them insisting backstage access to ‘help’ sounded like a hassle Solaris didn’t have nearly enough energy to handle.
He turned away from the dressing room door and started down the hallway. Maybe he could find a secluded area and have a moment to himself for once.
Solitude had become a rarity for him. Whether acting on stage, strolling through the once active grounds of Gardenview, or in the closure of his room, he could never expect the peace to last long, especially with that pesky sheep around.
“Where are you going?”
The sound of Vee’s voice immediately halted Solaris. He was nearly tempted to continue walking and disregard her presence. It wouldn’t be hard to lose her, after all. He knew the theatre’s layout better than any toon.
He took a deep breath, looking over his shoulder just enough to get a glimpse of her through the corner of his eye. “…Hello, Vee.” The greeting felt dry and heavy on his tongue.
It took every ounce of Solaris’ willpower to remain where he was as she approached. His legs itched to carry him as far as they could in the opposite direction. He hardly managed to resist.
“What are you doing back here?” Vee asked, stopping barely two steps away from him. “I had to check on Glisten. What are you doing?”
She shifted her weight to one side, eyes scanning every detail of his face. A smile pulled at her lips, her tail flicking. “I was just about to offer Tisha a hand.”
She leaned forward, scanning the subtle twitch of his eyes. The bridging space between them was making him nervous, she could tell.
“Assuming I believe that is bold.” Solaris took an instinctive step back, closely followed by Vee. “Don’t run away.”
His shift in attitude was almost amusing to Vee. Typically, he would hardly bat an eye at her presence unless he wanted something, but as of late, Solaris made a point to avoid her. When they did stand face to face, he responded curtly and was quick to cut the conversation short.
Around other toons, nothing changed— he remained social and charismatic as ever, as far as they knew. But the minute his eyes landed on her, his demeanor shifted to one of discomfort and dissatisfaction.
Chasing after him for nothing but a fleeting glimpse of acknowledgment was running Vee into the ground. This time, she wouldn’t let him pull away, even if she had to hold him down herself.
She drew Solaris in by the waist, her tail tightly binding his leg. “You act like you’re scared of me.” ‘Scared’. The word framed him as a senseless coward. He scoffed, tone sharpening with defense. “What reason would I have to fear you?”
Vee’s grip tightened, forcing him closer. “You don’t have one. You keep running from me without stopping to ask yourself why.”
“I wouldn’t feel the need to if you weren’t so—” He cut himself off. Vee tilted her head, beckoning him to continue with no more than her expression. “So.. what? Upfront? Bold? Insistent?” ‘All with additions’, Solaris thought, though he remained silent.
Attempting to rationalize himself would do nothing but give her more reason to keep pushing. He ran a leather hand across his face, a frustrated sigh slipping through his lips. “..Listen, Vee. As.. pleasant as this conversation has been, I can’t afford to stand and chat.”
Solaris stepped back, leg jostling to untangle itself from her tail. “I’m not done talking to you.” She lifted her hands from his waist and pushed Solaris back, arms caging him the moment he hit the cold plaster wall.
He took in a breath, hardly managing to keep himself from shouting. Every encounter with Vee frustrated him more than the last. He was typically good at reading people, but he could hardly tell what she would do or say next.
It seemed like no matter where he went, she would be there. It was nearly suffocating. “..Tell me. What exactly is it that you’re hoping to gain from this?” He spoke through gritted teeth.
“For you to talk to me. Tell me what you want. Or..” Vee lifted her hands from the wall to Solaris’ suit, pulling him against her by the lapels. “You could show me.”
His eyes narrowed. He slowly raised his arms, hands closing tightly around her wrists. His claws strained against his gloves, threatening to rip through and pierce her. “Fine. I’ll demonstrate.”
With a harsh push, he roughly shoved Vee away from him. She stumbled back, nearly tripping over her heels and falling to the floor. Solaris caught her arm, wrenching her forward into a hesitant yet harsh kiss.
He rested a hand against her waist, his grip loose. His hold was hardly firm enough to keep her in place. Vee could’ve broken from his grip with little effort, yet she made no attempt.
She grinned against his lips, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and backing him against the wall. Solaris pulled away sharply, face burning with regret. “..You’re awfully pushy.” He snarked, his tone shielding embarrassment.
Vee leaned forward, her gaze lingering on his lips expectantly. “I’m not doing that again, Vee.” He sighed, taking in a breath to steady his composure. “..You shouldn’t be here. Backstage access is strictly limited to actors.”
“Aren’t I? You gave me a role.” She argued.
“That you forfeited.” Solaris reminded, his eyebrows knitting together in annoyance. “You are no longer part of the cast. Allow me to guide you to the exit.”
Vee rolled her eyes, yet reluctantly took a step back. Without her pressing against him, Solaris felt as if he could breathe again. "Lead the way." She bit sarcastically. "With pleasure. The sooner you leave, the better."
He pushed himself off of the wall, brushing debris off of his suit. “Come along. Try not to lag behind, would you? I wouldn’t like to waste my time waiting.”
Solaris didn’t bother to look back to ensure Vee was following— the click of her heels against tile was enough. “Come on, Solaris. You’re an actor, aren’t you? You should be better at communication than this.”
“I simply have no idea what you’re talking about.” A clear lie. He was well aware she was referring to his avoidance of her presence, but playing coy was one of his many talents. And, apparently, hers.
Her use of his proper name felt strange, however. Usually, she opted for a shameful sobriquet— ‘Sunny’, ‘Sunshine’, even his last name wouldn’t be spared. “Are you feeling alright, Vee?”
“Yeah, just great.” She grumbled. Solaris made a conscious effort to pull down the smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. She sounded so frustrated.
Each step leading closer to the exit was taken with a mix of relief and dread, both for the same reason— Vee was leaving. She would return, of course. She always did, and Solaris was certain she always would, but she was leaving nonetheless.
He hated the fact. Detested it. But it was for the better, he reminded himself. If he allowed Vee— or anyone, really, to stay for too long, he risked losing himself and the persona he had worked so hard to maintain.
His reason for upholding it in the first place had abandoned him long ago, but he couldn’t afford to change himself now. His personality felt more like a burden— a lie— than his true self. He wasn’t sure if he even knew his true self. His name tasted like a lie on his tongue.
Solaris paused mid step, promptly reminded of where he was. He quickly adjusted his expression, clearing his head of introspective thoughts and plastering on a facade of neutrality as he turned to Vee. “This is the main stage door. Shall I walk you out?”
“No.” She huffed. “Wouldn’t want to ‘waste your time’, after all.” Solaris narrowed his eyes as Vee turned to open the door “Hold on.” He snapped, bringing a heeled shoe to step on her tail. “Ow!”
“Quiet,” Solaris scolded sharply. “Tomorrow. My room. No later than six. Be there.”
Vee’s scowl lifted, though traces of irritation lingered on her face. “Your room? This is moving fast.” Solaris grumbled under his breath, his face heating with embarrassment. “Clean your filthy mind,” He muttered. “I simply want to talk.”
“You?” Vee raised an eyebrow. “Willing to talk? How rare.” Solaris could almost roll his eyes, though he resisted. He took a step back, freeing Vee’s tail from his heel. “Just know this won’t be offered again. If you’re done toying with me, show. If you’re not, don’t.”
Vee simply nodded, her typical smile returning as she pushed the door open. Watching the door swing shut behind her, Solaris sighed, running a hand over his face. Without her presence, he was left to his own thoughts— rapidly spiraling with hypotheticals. “..My mind is my prison.” He muttered.
Tomorrow, he would speak to her. His mind threatened to slip, though he didn’t let it. He couldn’t afford to lose his composure. Not over this— not at all. “Calm yourself, Solaris. You’re fine.”
A lie he frequently told himself. Taking a deep breath, Solaris pushed open the door, stepping back onto the stage. Tisha noted his presence, glancing up from scrubbing the floor. “Tisha,” He called. “Clear the theatre, please. Any lingering toons are to be escorted out.”
“Right away! After I get rid of this pesky stain…” She grumbled, her focus returning to the floorboards. “I really should hire more cleaners..” Solaris muttered, stepping through the curtains and onto the stage.
“Solaris!” Kieran’s voice nearly made him flinch. “Is everything okay with Glisten? If something happened, I could—”
“No, Kieran,” Solaris sighed, straining to keep the irritation out of his voice. “Nothing is wrong. Glisten is just having.. a difficult day. He’ll come out when he’s ready, but you can’t stay here waiting. The theatre is closing.”
“..Okay. I’ll just meet with him later. Thanks, Solaris.” He didn’t bother with a reply, descending the stage stairs and immediately setting toward the exit, though he paused just as he reached the door.
He almost didn’t want to leave. Why he lingered, he wasn’t sure. “..Don’t overreact. You’re fine.” He muttered to himself, pushing the door open and exiting the theatre.
FINALLY finished lmao ts has been rotting in my drafts for like two months but here it is!! i hate it

It's honestly pathetic that Dandy had been lounging off in the room behind his shop in the Gardenview Museum lobby, while Sprout was away baking because he claimed he was "busy" making a batch of cookies that he didn't get a chance to do earlier today. Dandy had been working his ass off in the shop all day and now he had to sit there and wait for gods know how long?
If it wouldn't be for the love he held for Sprout, he would probably just get up and take what he's waiting for.
But, alas, he has banned himself to an eternity of suffering in the exposure of tinkering with the trinkets he had kept in the room behind his shop. How nice.
Dandy let out a heavy sigh, tilting his head up to look at the dimly lit ceiling, a few too many thoughts swirling around in his mind before he pushed himself off the crate he typically sat on.
In quick motions, he exited through the door in the back, making his way towards one of the multiple kitchens Sprout was said to be baking in.
He peered around the corner of a wall that connected to one of the many diners, eyes scanning for a familiar Toon. Seconds passed when he spotted Sprout, but him having his back turned pissed him off even more.
Deciding to go for a casual attitude, he maneuvered around the wall, before going towards his beloved, trying to draw his attention by thumping the tip of his tail against the counter. "Sprooouuuttttt," Dandy dragged out, allowing his tail to finally hit the floor. "Aren't you done soon? Bed won't warm itself, ya know," he added in a distant murmur, though he was almost a little too sure Sprout was aware of his comment.
Sprout's ear twitched, but he doesn't seem to turn around. Dandy blinked and let out another sigh, this one more frustrated than pitiful, a scowl slowly settling on his face. "Seriously?" He asked, his pride almost gone completely out the window. "Sprout, come onnnn..." he whined, his tail hitting the counter again.
Sprout released a sigh of his own as he took fore mentioned cookies out of the oven, placing them on the opposite side of Dandy's tail. "I just finished," Sprout exhaled, watching with slight amusement as Dandy immediately sat up from his slumped posture. He walked to the side of the counter Sprout was on, wrapping his arms around his waist. "About time," Dandy muttered into the fabric of Sprout's apron, and Sprout returned the hug without hesitation. He huffed, knowing he wasn't gonna get Dandy to let go any time soon.
"Since you're done," Dandy started once he finally let go of Sprout, his tail wagging in anticipation, and he reached out, holding one of Sprout's hands in his, placing a gentle kiss on his knuckles. "bed."
Sprout blinked, slightly taken aback by Dandy's sudden affection, but he decided to shrug it off that Dandy was just happy to see him. "Bed it is," he shrugged, allowing Dandy to take his hand and lead him off to their shared Toon room.
Once they made it, Dandy settled criss-cross onto their bed, and Sprout joined him. He quite enjoyed being the big spoon, so he laid on his side, and Dandy allowed him to wrap his arms around his waist.
"You're such a baby," Sprout muttered, mostly talking to himself since Dandy had fallen asleep. He blinked, before starting to place gentle kisses on Dandy's forehead and cheeks.
"What a sleepyhead," he sighed, but it didn't take too long for him to doze off as well.

not REALLY a vent but still below cut bc i don’t like how much i’m tainting this blog with my emotions
back to your regularly scheduled programming after trust
so this is like. it
there’s an opportunity for me to reach out. he wants to talk. do i even fucking take it. i want to. i need to. i shouldn’t though for a MULTITUDE of reasons
1. i’ve been crying about this shit for the past five days. i think talking would tear me apart even more than just accepting it because i know nothing will ever be the same. i know he still cares but he doesn’t CARE and he never will again does that make sense
2. i’ll probably only cause more problems. he left because i stressed him out and i’ll only continue to do that.
3. whatever i say if i do choose to reach out is definitely gonna sound like guilt tripping. “i miss you” this “i still love you” that holy yapperoni just leave it am i right
4. i can’t go back. there’s no guarantee we’ll be friends again, but i don’t think i should talk to him with that in mind. i should talk because i want to make things right, not because i want to try fixing something thats already broken.
yeah. yeah that’s it, that’s what i’ll do
i’m going to talk, but unless he initiates first, i’ll keep my distance. i should let him choose what he wants instead of trying to decide for him like i did last time.
and i have to remember nothing will ever be the same. i’ll never be his priority again. i have no right to try inserting myself back into his life unless he WANTS me there. his choice over mine this time.
his choice over mine ALL the time from now on.

Astro laid on his bed, having been staring up at the ceiling for what felt like hours. He was lost in thought again; thinking about how he could have let this happen to himself. Having the crack in his face was like loosing someone he cared about the most.
He sat up when he heard someone at his door; hoping it had been anyone else but SPROUT. Astro didn't have the guts or the heart to talk to him right now.
Of course it was Sprout, who else would it be? Astro almost wanted to sigh, but he was taken aback as Sprout reached out to gently grab Astro, cupping his face.
"I wanted to say sorry," Sprout said quickly, the words almost coming out as a complete mess before he stopped to compose himself, "for what happened the other day."
Astro didn't know what to say; was it an actual apology? He could have sworn he heard the genuine hurt in Sprout's voice, but didn't want to push things or jump to conclusions.
Sprout sighed, his hands gently caressing Astro's cheek. Astro didn't speak, he had a lot to say, but the words were caught in his throat.
"If you walk away now, I swear I won't stop you," Sprout promised, but Astro didn't move, only his hands did, which went up to hold Sprout's wrists.
"..I don't want to walk away," Astro murmured, averting his gaze, "and if I'm being completely honest, I'm never more at peace than I am when I'm in your arms."
Sprout managed to give a small smile at that, taking in a quiet deep breath. "So that means I'm allowed to do this," he cut off that thought short, slowly taking a few steps into Astro's room before managing to get him against the wall.
"Say we stop now, and I'll stop, but don't lie," Sprout mumbled as Astro looked up at him, and he noticed the way Astro's cheeks were painted a lovely shade of lavender.
"Don't touch me unless you mean it," Astro replied quietly, and Sprout almost bit his lip at that. Sprout leaned closer, his hand still gently holding Astro's face. His mind was going blank; maybe just one time.
When Sprout's lips finally pressed against Astro's, he felt a wave of electricity course through him, like everything else had faded away. Sprout kissed him softly at first, like he was testing the waters, his thumb continuing to gently caress Astro's cheek. His mind was a whirlwind of sensations - Astro's taste, his scent, the feel of Astro's body against his. He couldn't think straight, couldn't form a single coherent thought. All he knew was that he wanted more. He needed more.
Sprout bit down gently on Astro's lower lip, his hand on his waist pulling him flush against him. He could feel Astro's heat radiating through his blanket, his body responding with an almost primal need.
Sprout finally broke the kiss, pulling back just slightly to catch his breath. His heart was racing, his breathing ragged, as he looked at Astro with a mix of desire and awe.
"You have no idea how long I wanted to do that," Sprout said, his gaze drifting to Astro's lips. He swallowed, his hand still cupping Astro's cheek as he tried to regain some semblance of composure. But it was difficult, with Astro so close and the taste of Astro's lips still lingering on his. He could still feel his body reacting, his thoughts consumed by nothing but the other Toon infront of him.
Sprout shifted, pulling Astro close to his chest, his breath still coming out in short puffs. "You drive me crazy, you know that?" He muttered, his hand gently caressing Astro's cheek.
Astro didn't say anything, just allowing himself to be held. He closed his eye(s), trying to keep his rapidly flaying self control in check. Every fiber of Sprout's being was screaming at him to keep going, to let the heat and desire consume him entirely. But a small, still-rational voice in the back of his head was gently reminding him of who Astro was—maybe just a friend—with severely high benefits. But then he felt Astro press closer to him, and the rational part of his mind was quickly smothered.
Sprout's breath hitched in his throat as Astro pressed against him, and his body responded to his own accord, his hand holding Astro's waist tighter. He leaned down, burying his face in the crook of Astro's neck, his mouth slightly grazing the sensitive skin there. "God, you're so.. so damn addicting.." Sprout managed to get out, his breath coming out in short bursts.
Astro swallowed as Sprout pressed a soft kiss to his neck, then another, his lips leaving a trail of fire across Astro's skin. He could feel his pulse, rapid and erratic, and the way Astro gasped only fueled the fire burning within him.
Sprout's hand moved from Astro's waist to his hip, pulling him even closer as he found a sensitive spot on Astro's neck, gently pressing his tongue against it. "I can't get enough of you.." Sprout whispered, his voice shaky with desire. The words were tumbling out of him now, unfiltered and raw with need. He couldn't control himself anymore, his thoughts and rationality completely overshadowed by the overwhelming desire coursing through him.
Sprout continued to kiss and bite at Astro's neck, his body reacting wildly to the intimate contact. He could feel the heat pooling in his core, his own breathing ragged and labored.
Sprout's hand moved up to gently cup Astro's cheek, his touch both possessive and desperate. "Please.. say you want me as much as I want you.." Sprout practically whimpered, his tail going to gently wrap around Astro's wrist.
Astro could barely form a coherent response, watching as Sprout pulled back slightly, just enough so they could both look at each other, and Astro noticed Sprout's eyes were a little dark, mixed with a hint of vulnerability. Sprout needed to hear Astro say the words, needed to know he felt the same way he did, even if it was just for this moment.
Sprout's thumb traced along Astro's bottom lip, his gaze fixed on his swollen mouth. "Please.." He murmured again, his voice soft and pleading, "tell me you want me, too."
Astro swallowed; the words were right on the tip of his tongue, but he was afraid Sprout would completely lose control if he said them. Well, what was the point now? "I do, Sprout.." he said quietly.
Sprout let out a soft gasp, his grip on Astro's hip now tightening even more. He wanted to say so many things, to pour out all the thoughts and emotions that were swirling within him, but all he could manage was a ragged whisper. "Prove it.."

uh. while i work on my drafts emo ahh vent below cut
i’m so fucking stupid. why did i do that. why didn’t i just confront him. maybe then L wouldnt see me as an immature selfish dickhead
or maybe they already did?? maybe?? idk i wouldnt blame them
i make so many bad decisions. i rush into things too quickly. now they’re probably talking shit about me and ik i deserve every word
i know he’s happier without me. he’s with his REAL best friend now. i’m nothing more than some insane fuck he used to know and he probably regrets every second we spent together. theres a fucking hole in my heart without him but i carved it myself
and the worst part. i think i felt the same way he did.
he made me feel seen. appreciated. he saw me when i felt forgotten and what did i do in return? i ignored him. I FUCKING IGNORED HIM WHAT THE FUCK
i wasted the one chance i had that maybe we could be friends again. now i’m lying here crying like a sad puppy loser over someone that’s already forgotten about me.
all i really did was make him feel how i did before meeting him and then after: like fucking trash. i’m irredeemable atp. nobody should have the displeasure of meeting me ever again i don’t deserve jack shit
and here i am bitching about how i’m soooo sad. how do i think i made him feel by begging for him to stay and then shoving him away. and for what?? because i was jealous?? bro.
there’s no way i was JEALOUS over someone that clearly deserves his love more than i ever did. he wasted his time on a jackass like me and i should be happy he found soneone that’ll really appreciate him because clearly i took him for granted
and i just HAD to realize ts AFTER he’s already gone. he’ll probably never see ts bro i’m talking to a wall
no. seriously. i lost someone that told me he would always be on my side. nobody will ever understand me like he did ever again and i have to live with that
dear FUCK can i learn to read the room. pretending everything is fine and dandy isn’t gonna fix shit and if i wanted us to be friends again i should’ve worked for it instead of pretending nothing ever happened. it’s all my fault i think i knew that from the start and yet i neglected to accept it
do i still wish i was his friend again? yes. do i realize i never deserved him in the first place and even if nothing changed that day he was bound to find someone he was happier with eventually? also yes.
and i STILL have the audacity to sit here and ‘vent’. like i’m the victim. like this isn’t a mess i can’t clean up no matter how hard i try.
holy fuck. i would do anything to be able to go back and handle what happened with. i don’t know, a brain?? morals?? common sense?? but i can’t. i filled this pool, now i drown in it
to L: i never deserved you, but you already knew that.
to C/A: i’m waiting for you to realize how horrible i am and leave while appreciating every second we spend together. you’re my best friend and nothing will ever change that, but PLEASE be honest.

update III: samual the slug is no longer part of srm, still thinking ab who should be solaris’ designated partner instead
AU FOR MY LOVELY SON @solarisflaron!!!!!!!!!
this is a very self indulgent OC au for me and my friends lmao (samual @samualtheslug belongs to @leeandme, starley @astriloquuz belongs to @retrocalucations, pugapo and magixy belong to @sylviepaw, and peyton belongs to @vinnial.. hey wait that’s me)
along with the text on the side, here’s MORE au information (copied from my yaps ab it on discord) !!!
MAYBE i’ll draw designs but the replacements of the mains are
samual (5 star movement speed)
starley (5 star skillcheck)
magixy (5 star extraction speed)
pugapo (5 star stealth)
peyton (5 star stamina)
solaris’ handler: sebastian santiago (duh)
samual’s handler: lee picks
starley’s handler: cal picks
magixy’s handler: margaret clementine
pugapo’s handler: penelope saffron
peyton’s handler: preston phineas
i’ve decided to name the au solaris’ rising morning
random au facts:
- the roles of delilah and arthur are swapped for no reason other than more differences.
- shelly (not anymore) and shrimpo were never created in this.
- gardenview is slightly more modern, having started up in 2004.
- twisteds are called abominations and are much more dangerous.
- lethal solaris is nearly impossible to survive.
- many episodes of solaris’ rising morning were censored for homosexuality between solaris and samual. (haha)
- sebastian is slightly more aggressive in this due to being placed in a position of higher power, looking after the star of the show.
- the au takes place in 2028.
LETHAL SOLARIS THINGS
- rather than tapes, players gather scripts to act as currency during rounds that they can spend at solaris’ shop. his dialogue when..
opening the shop: “Ah, hello! Please do have a look at my wares.”
“Welcome, welcome! Pick what you’d like.”
“These should keep you going! In exchange for a few scripts, of course.”
someone buying an item: “A thousand thanks!”
“You have my gratitude!”
“Aha, who wouldn’t invest in these?”
descending after someone has bought: “Until we meet again!”
“Goodbye, and best of luck, my friend!”
“Ta-ta! I look forward to seeing you again!”
descending after nobody has bought: “Nothing caught your eye? I see, I see. Best of luck!”
“Come back when you’ve stocked up on scripts. My shop is always open for you!”
first stage of irritation: “You must’ve not heard me the first time.”
“Dearest acquaintance, do help yourself. These are just for you..”
“I would hate for you to go without these tools. Please invest.”
descending after nobody has bought (first stage of irritation): “..I see.”
“Have I upset you, friend?”
“Is nothing good enough for you?”
second stage of irritation: “I *really* must insist you purchases something.”
“Surely these will suffice.”
“Come, now. Who could resist?”
second stage of irritation upon somebody buying: “There we are! Enjoy your item, friend!”
“That’s the spirit!”
“You had me concerned.”
second stage of irritation upon nobody buying: “…Must you be this way?”
“I really don’t want to resort to…”
“Ugh.”
third (and final) stage of irritation: “This is your last warning.”
“Choose your next action carefully.”
“…”
third stage of irritation upon somebody buying: “That’s more like it.”
“Wise decision, friend..”
“Finally. Thank you.”
third stage of irritation upon nobody buying: “..Alright.”
“You will regret this.”
“Hm.”
- he’s attracted to almost everything toons do. completing machines, missing skillchecks, picking up items, and using active abilities all send him towards the location of the toon.
- his attention span is 10 seconds long.
- the song that plays in his elevator shop is l’amore dice ciao by armando trovajoli.
- every 60 seconds when lethal solaris spawns, he sends a solar flare that covers players screens with yellow text reading ‘PAY ATTENTION’ for 5 seconds.
- lethal solaris takes a longer time to have a chance of spawning than dandy does. players need to avoid buying for 6 floors.
- his abomination variant accentuates his lion features. his claws are sharper, his rays closely resemble a mane, his teeth are bared, and when spotting a player, he chases them on all fours.
- as an abomination, his walk speed is 16, and his chase speed boosts up to 27, barely faster than Twisted Pebble. In Panic Mode, it’s increased to 32.7, 31 with suppression.
- upon 100% research, players acquire the trinket ‘kinetic spinner’, a fidget toy Samual gifted to him. it decreases hearing range for all abominations with the exclusion of solaris himself by 15%.
