Hello everyone. I am alive. I posted a total update on my Ao3 if you want to read it there! Anyways, I'm trying to get back into writing so I've left some one-shot ideas that have been brewing in my head. Lmk what one I should write!

Update: I am alive and I am working on "The Secret of Us". I was struggling with writing Chapter 11, so I went back to edit Chapter. I used my knowledge from my ENGL 211 class to improve the chapter and I like the new version much better. I'll likely be posting it sometime in the next week or so! (I'm just waiting on betareader feedback atp). ANYWAYS- I write this post to inform everyone of Gigi Perez's new song "Chemistry". ITS GIVING THE SAME VIBES AS MY FIC 😛 My creative reservoirs have just expanded by ten metric miles. Okay that's it. Update and new song I've adopted.

Hello everyone! I will be going on a brief hiatus for the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, there will not be a January chapter of "The Secret of Us". I have been busy with college and writing is beginning to feel like a chore. I don't want to force myself to write when I'm not in the headspace, so I'm going to take a break and come back after a couple of weeks. I'm planning on editing the entire fic to polish it up this year and I'll be releasing new chapters as well. I'll be taking a break before starting those plans though. My apologies again, but I do promise TSOU will be finished eventually 🙏 Have a wonderful day/night!! <3

Bad news guys... Chapter 11 of "The Secret of Us" will be a bit delayed. I try to post a chapter on the last day of every month, but I had some unexpected college issues this month. I was going to transfer this upcoming semester, but my scholarships won't transfer, so I'm figuring things out rn!! Ugh why does college have to be so expensive 😒 Bear with me during these trying times 🙏 I'll try to get Chapter 11 out sometime early-mid December <3

Omg guys I just remembered I said most chapters in my fic would be 7-9k words long 🙏 The last two have both been over 12k so I was in the mindset of creating another big chapter like that but turns out I'm already 3/7 of the way done with Chapter 11. Ugh! I love when I make life easier for myself 😛

I'm almost done with editing Chapter 1. I found a lot of issues with the tense of the story because it would switch back and forth from past to present. I changed everything to present tense because I liked the sound and immersion of present tense better. HOWEVER- A good portion of the other chapters are past tense 😭 I want everything to be consistent, but I'm torn. Should I go make Chapter 1 all past tense or is it a stylistic choice? #SendHelp

Okay guys I'm alive. I'm at that point again where I look back on my fic and I think I need to edit everything 😭 I'm taking a creative writing class at my college and I've learned so many great tips for writing, so now I'm looking back and I'm like "This is literally the worst thing ever. There's so many filler phrases and the dialogue sucks. Also, the Grammer police literally bombed the fuck out of this." UGH. Why are writers like this 😒 Anyways, Chapter 11 is at 2k words and it might take a bit because I sit down to write and I'm like "I should go fix the other chapters RIGHT NOW." #SendHelp
