I’ve been celebrating my birthday and focusing more on my exams. As of now, though, I’m simply working on the appearance(?) of the game! It’ll look simple but I’m hoping to rework it… all I have to do now is actually code… waaaah….

As of now, I’m trying to test out Sugarcube so I can move all assets onto it. It’s a little complicated, but it’s something that hopefully I’ll work through! If not, I’ll simply just go back to Chapbook?

Needless to say, it’s a very messy learning process. So far doodling little chibi stressed admins have been helping me get through these stages… haha….

Axel: For reasons unknown to both you and the universe, this guy HATES when there’s no school.

Moira: She brings two waterbottles everywhere she goes just in case someone needs to hydrate and they can’t buy a bottle on their own.

Natalie: She has a plastic sword that was autographed by one of her favorite cooking show judges of all time, Mitchell Gonzalez.

One of my favourite questions to ask about characters are just random things about them, even if they have nothing to do with the main story, so do you have any fun facts about them that some people might not notice during the story?

Hi birdie! I’m glad you’re as excited as I am! 😄💕 Ahaha- maybe you’ll get to make that decision along the way?

Ooh, that’s a good question actually… since you said characters and not the RO’s specifically, Nat will be added! Unfortunately, Awá will have to stay shoved in the box. They’re practically a walking spoiler. 😂😭

Oliver: If you give a plant to them, they will hesitate. They aren’t that good of a greenthumb, scratch that, they’re practically a plant killer despite liking to take photographs of them.

Axel: He refuses to drive. He can do well on a bike or skateboard, is pretty decent at even rollerblading, but he just can’t force himself to drive even after he got his license.

Moira: She has a pet snake. Don’t ask why, she just does. She never really brings Sir Hisslet out unless you ask her. Sir Hisslet is a Kingsnake.

Natalie: Once when the two of you were younger, Natalie volunteered to help the school’s baking sale. You walked right in to her as she was gobbling up those mini cupcakes. You didn’t tell anyone, but she does owe you one! Now she can’t eat mini cupcakes without freezing up in remembrance.

What did the RO’s do on Valentines Day?

Oliver: Oliver didn’t really have anyone to celebrate with. Well, except for one person - their dad. They fixed up a very sweet breakfast for just the two of them, with a boquet in a vase to top it off. After a weird discussion and debate on the subject of love, they slept in. Pretty chill day overall.

Axel: He had already given valentines candy to several of his friends and classmates two days earlier. Yesterday, he didn’t attend school since his family took a plane trip to Kentucky to go see his tía. They have a lot of plans to use the weekend to their advantage… today, they were exploring the town. Tomorrow? Well, the local grocery store has a 50% off sale for valentines candy… so they’re going to buy as much as possible.

Moira: She originally wanted to just stay at home, since it was such a cloudy day and she had been exhausted from the busy week of valentines deliveries for classes as well as attending and volunteering for several events. However, her friends dragged her to the mall. While she didn’t need the clothes, she did enjoy the free food and overall getting to see her friends!

Welcome! Your introductory post is amazing? Age rating? Do you have any description of the ROs (precisely physical appearance)?

Hello hello, birdie (I need to figure out names for you guys, thanks for reminding me 😅😂)! Thank you so much for this!

We’re looking at an 18+ rating. There are depictions of violence, but that’s usually in dreams and typical school violence seen in suburban areas (bullying, school fights, etc.). There’s a lot of swearing (as one would expect) though and there will definitely be vices. This interactive also deals with addictions, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, child neglect etc. After all, it takes place in a time close to ours in a literal high school, where these things are still being questioned even if there have been efforts made into stopping these things.

I do! I’ll try to make drawings and share references later, since I’m busy right now, but:

Oliver Auclaire

They have light olive skin with freckles peppered all over their body. Their eye color is very much a cause for a bit of harmless fighting - to some, they look aquamarine, but appear an unmistakenable green for others. Their hair was originally a straight dirty blonde, but they usually dye it different colors and styles every 8 weeks, much to the dismay of their father. They’re standing at 5’6” and are skinny. They currently have to wear braces.

Their favorite thing about themself is their eye - they have a sort of spark that you see, reflecting their passions for cracking mysteries and the skies painted with stars.

Axel Martinez

He has beige skin. He has hazel eyes, but the intensity of the color is blocked out by a pair of glasses. His hair is dark brown, but he has white hairs because of environments and family history. He’s standing at a 5’8” and is lean and gangly. He has dimples, which make him embarrassed, and a whole ton of birthmarks!

Teeth. Not the smile, not the lips. Just… teeth. He says that they give him a lot of character as opposed to a smile, which you can forge anyday with the right circumstances and moment.

Moira Joyce Sampaya

She has honey brown skin. Her eye color is a deep brown but is widely mistaken for as a black. Her hair is wavy and jet black, although when you look closely you’ll see that it’s a mixture of both the dominating black and brown. She stands as the shortest RO, with a height of 5’4” (sometimes she lies and says it’s “closer to 5’5”) and is stocky. She has hyperpigmentation noticeably on her arms and shoulders.

When you ask her what is her favorite thing about her body, she usually changes it every week. She says claims trying to love all of her body, since it isn’t fair if she chooses only one. Secretly though, her biggest pride is in her arms and hands. The reason for it is unknown to all except Moira herself.

It was all a blur.

Seven months ago, you were sitting in your history class as usual, doodling on the sides of your notes as Ms. Schevick blabbed on and on. There was nothing in particular that really stuck with you. That is, until she brought up a familiar name - Awá, a formerly worshipped God of Forgiveness who fell from the heavens after the Massacre of Innocence.

From then on, that name burned in your mind. Every moment you spent thinking about what could’ve happened, headaches were suddenly normalized to you after the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with you. You ransacked the library (and Google) trying to find any information on Awá, but alas, there were none. Your little sister would get worried everytime you came out of your bedroom, all disheveled and sleep deprived. Your once vivid dreams ceased to exist. Worst of all, your memories are distorting and you can’t remember things that were true to you.

Which brings us to today, when in the cursed early hours of the morning, you woke up in a cold sweat. Taking deep breathes, you realize that you had a dream, a vision of some sorts. A vision with Awá and the words coming from their mouth,

“Who shall weep for the sinners?”
