Dear diary,

Its the school science fair tomorrow. I had 6 millenia to prepare and i did nothing. I just collected some cool rocks all holiday and messed around. Well to be fair the whole point of a school holiday is to be a time free of work, so we can forge identities as individuals and give society diversity of personality and experience (it doesnt work but you know, its trying). So even though i didnt do any of the work i was supposed to its only because i was SUPPOSED to not do the work i was supposed to do, so its totally justified :). I guess ill just throw a few of the rocks together and make them orbit each other a little to make the classic science fair solar system and hopefully miss will let it slide just as long as im holding something.

Get this, i accidentally spilt some water on one of the rocks and when i tried to clean it up i accidentally knocked another rock into it! Luckily it actually made another rock and it looks pretty cool so i might just leave it as it is for now. The rock that got water on it kinda changed colour a little but i dont have time to dry it out and im too tired anyway.

It was science fair day today and it could not have gone any worse. When i went to get my solar system project before school i noticed that the planet i spilt water on had these weird carbon creatures on it and i think some of them have consciousness even because when they saw me they started making all sorts of noises and moving really quickly. I didn't have enough time before school to fix it so i just put a vacuum around it so theyd shut up and entered it as is.

Then things got even worse because when everyone saw it they started laughing because lucy foresaw the carbon things annoying me and haunting me for millenia and told everyone and everyone started laughing. Then when miss came over to look at it those freaks had made all sorts of rubbish orbit the rock they were on and started asking us for stuff! Like honestly guys get over yourselves we're busy, go play with your fake food and colourful rectangles (that arent even that colourful because they dont even have basic colours like nage or xanthen). And then it got EVEN WORSE because miss thought they looked really weird and was all like 'Ew what are those' and everyone started laughing again. THEN things got EVEN WORSE because they started throwing explosives at each other and broke the rock! It looked pretty cool actually but teach wasn't impressed that i couldnt control my own solar system and that i made those freaky creatures that didnt contribute anything or have any purpose so i got a bad grade. Its not even fair because the carbon things were obviously an accident. Nobody would ever actually WANT to make those things. Honestly the teachers think im so stupid. Then lucy was all like 'maybe he made them so stupid so someone would finally think hes smart!' and everyone started laughing at me again. Thanks carbon idiots. At least they only got one so it's not too bad i guess. I should have just made a new emotion or something like jack, man that was so cool.

Ah whatever, stuff happens.

Note to self: curse lucy.

Turns out some of the carbon got on another rock and some of the carbon is doing nothing and all the other carbon is doing everything for them. its kinda funny actually. Theyre still asking me for stuff but i can't get rid of it because my parents said they wanted to keep it because 'you worked so hard on it!' or whatever so i guess ill just put it in the drawer and leave it to die.

The soundtrack in The Forest Quartet is so much better than it needs to be and the environmental storytelling and metaphors are wonderfully crafted and the voice acting is the most natural I've ever heard in anything ever thank you world thank you Vadsholt thank you.
