This may seem out of nowhere, but I'm tired of keeping empty promises and getting stressed about not having anything to post here. I know all the times I said I was going to draw something, but the thing is: I'm not sure if I can keep these promises anymore. I still want to make art of some of my dragons in my lair to check if I improved, I want to open a YCH art shop on flightrising because I'm tired of relying too much on AH as an income, but I want to draw other stuff too, and I've been kinda tired of fr. I still log-in to do my dailies and I will probably keep playing during NOTN, but I don't want my art to be only fr related anymore, specially when I'm feeling tired of playing this game constantly. I'm saying this here because I feel most of the people who follow me here do it due to my fr art. There's no problem with this, but I feel like I keep failing audience due to not having anything to show here, even if I have less than 50 followers.

Managing my accounts have been really hard this year since I feel like a lot happened in my personal life and still now I'm trying to process some of it. I won't get into detail because I don't feel comfortable talking about my irl struggles publicly, so I'll just say that I still feel really exhausted and depressed, I don't know if my art is improving, and I'm still not able to properly maintain this blog.

So, this blog will stay on a hiatus until I feel like making flightrising art again. I have not stopped doing art completely (even if I don't know how to feel about it), so if you want to see my unrelated flightrising art, go to my pokemon bluesky for example. I'm doing more pixel art now because it's easier for me to make it than characters drawings.

Hi it's me, the bizarre fox creature called Weird! I'm a 19 agender Brazilian furry and pokemon artist + Animation student who likes digital illustrations, pixel art and 3D (still learning it tough...)

And here are some things about this account:

♤ This is my main art blog. This blog and any other account of mine that go by "WeirdFoxDreams" (except on my Cara portfolio) will be foccused mainly on flightrising art.

♤ My bluesky account "Weird but Zoroark" (@weirdbutzoroark.bsky.social) is focused only on my pokemon spritework. (I'm also currently accepting pokemon spritework commissions there).

♤ I also have a NSFW art account that will be mostly artwork depicting my alt sona Asmy or any +18 artwork I make. I won't be sharing the account name here due to this blog being SFW.

P.S: I have 3 different art accounts so don't expect me to always be active on all of them simultaneously. I may prioritize one over the others depending of the kind of artwork I want to do at the moment.

YCH idea interest check

I had this idea while I was trying to make headshots similar to Stardew Valley's: Would anyone be interested in 64x64 Ancients animated icons? (payment would be in both frc or irc) (I won't draw skins nor accents)

For now I'm thinking of only doing Aberrations and Auraboas, but I will see how many Ancients I can do in the future.

Here are examples of the Aberrations bases (upscalled for better visualization):

Forgot to clarify this, but I DON'T hate everluxs nor the fr art team. I don't think the game got "ruined" to me due to the recent breeds either! I will collect everluxs and probably will get used to them over time. I just think I can criticize something I like in a way which I'm not attacking anyone or feeling like an eternal curse was cast upon my life due to digital dragon not looking like I was fully expecting.

Saying this here cuz I don't know if I could say this on fr because of mods: Seeing all of the different reactions on everluxs and as someone who wants to work as a character designer/animator, I have mixed feelings about the everluxs design. In one hand, I like the idea of chunky worm dragon, on the other hand...every time I stare at it, it doesn't look like light at all, and I'm not even from there! The idea of basing the dragon on the book worm expression is kinda creative for me but I feel like the execution of it was very bizarre due to these reasons:

1 - It's not even a worm, its a caterpillar. It would be better if they either based the dragon on the glasswing butterfly (Greta oto) due to glasses, mirrors and prisms (which would be way more fitting for light) or based it around actual annelids species (phylum which animals like earthworms belong to).

2 - Fat dragon but the legs are super thin? This is such a weird choice because not only this dragon would have problems balancing their body weight and locomoting but real fat animals also don't have thin legs either.

3 - The harp gene should have been the base look for the horn due to it giving more the impression of "thing that produces and cut silk". The regular horn reminds me too much of an axe.

4 - I wish everluxs had terts which would either make them bioluminescent or give them prismatic scales. I NEED more glowing things besides glowtail and sparkle.

I still would have one of them or make a pair for my hatchery, but I can't stop looking at them thinking they could've been better. (this is just my opinion btw and I don't care if someone fully likes everluxs)

Funny fr idea I had: Ancient breeds but instead of not being able to wear apparel, they have their own apparels for each specie (gaolers would have their own accessories and clothing, and so undertides etc). I think this would help differentiate ancients from moderns in another interesting way while giving us an idea of what ancient dragons' culture and fashion would be in Sornieth.

Shellder Fake Variant

I'm doing a challenge which I design a variant for a random pokemon based on a random type combination. First mon was a Normal/Fire Shellder, so I decided to go with a design reminding firework rockets, specially one known here in Brazil (rojão). I learned a lot while designing this guy, and, yes, I will do Cloyster too. Reminder my commissions are open here.
