okay so this is purely for my enjoyment but i think adam would also really like hatsune miku

like imagine you show him your favourite song and he’s like “i guess she’s cool but she’s not even real so like what’s the point?” and then walks away but later that day you find him going down the rabbit hole of hatsune miku and listening to all kinds of different songs shes sings then he spots you with a smug grin and is like “shut up” but then you both jam out to her

i’m probably gonna write a short little story about this because adam is my most recent comfort character and miku was my first comfort character so like it’s just GOTTA happen now that i’ve thought about it 😭💗

alastor x insecure!reader

·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ alastor and y/n are just really good friends, the idea is that y/n opens up to alastor about their insecurities when it comes their teeth and smile because he notices y/n covering their mouth every time (also a little bit of rosie x reader)

⋆｡˚ ︶︶✩︶︶‌ ⋆｡˚

Feeling self conscious about your teeth and smile was something that always plagued your thoughts. You couldn’t help but be painfully aware of the shape, colour and alignment of your teeth. Every time you spoke you always made an effort to have your lips cover them as mush as possible. Not to mention that every time you laughed, let alone smiled, you always covered your mouth with your hand.

And it didn’t take long for a certain smiling demon to realize all of this.

Alastor was sitting in the lounge of the hotel with you sitting across from him. The two of you were simply talking when he had made a funny insult towards Vox that made you laugh. Which of course caused you to cover your mouth with your hand. Noticing this Alastor tilts his head with curiosity

“Dear if you don’t mind my asking, why is it that you always cover your mouth when laughing? It’s quite a shame that I haven’t seen your full smile after all of this time of knowing each other”

Hearing him ask this made you press your lips together anxiously. Fiddling with your hands you avoid his gaze while answering him

“Well to be quite honest with you…. I think my teeth are ugly. They’re not perfectly straight and they’re not pearly white so I just…. prefer not to show them”

you answer with honesty and for a moment there was just silence. Anxiety began to spread through your body as you worried that Alastor might laugh at you. But instead you were greeted with him standing up and reaching his hand out to you

“Come now my dear I know exactly what will help”

blinking in confusion you slowly reach your hand out and place it in his. And just like that Alastor had you two linking your arms together as he began to lead you out of the hotel

“Darling there is no shame in having teeth that aren’t white and straight. That’s just a silly thing that people want you to believe so they can feel better about themselves” he begins, walking you down the steps of the hotel “You shouldn’t have to feel like your smile is for anyone but yourself”

you couldn’t help the heavy sigh that left you as you looked down at your feet

“I know, it’s just hard you know? I feel like everyone else has such pretty smiles and I don’t” you admit, looking ahead as Alastor continued to lead you down the path from the hotel and you couldn’t help but ask “Alastor, where exactly are we going?”

“To go see my dear friend Rosie! I just know that she’ll love you and agree with me about your smile” you were a little shocked to hear this but you felt your heart flutter a little with joy, Alastor really was a good friend and already you were starting to feel a little better.

Thankfully the walk to Cannibal Town wasn’t a very long one and it was easy to find Rosie in her gazebo. As soon as she saw Alastor her face lit up with an excited smile as she waved her hand high up in the air “Alastor! What a lovely surprise, come come!” she gestures to the empty seats next to her “I see you brought a cutie with you” she teases playfully in which Alastor smiles widely “Why yes! This here is my good friend and I thought I’d invite them over for some tea”

You smiled nervously with your lips pressed together as you waved to Rosie “It’s a pleasure to be meeting you, I hope you don’t mind” since you were a little nervous to be meeting someone new, especially an overlord

Rosie let out a happy squeal as she gently grabbed your hands in hers “My goodness you are just the cutest thing ever, of course I don’t mind! Any friend of Alastor’s is a friend of mine” she reassured, pulling out the seat next to her for you. Rosie was quick to make you feel comfortable and relaxed as you, her and Alastor all shared a lovely conversation.

Eventually you opened up to her about your insecurities with your teeth with a little nudge from Alastor.

Her face softened with a gentle smile as she reaches for your hands, holding them with care as she spoke “Oh sweetheart, I know it’s not easy to get over something you’re insecure about, but trust me when I say that it doesn’t matter how your teeth look. Your smile is just as gorgeous as anyone else’s”

the way she spoke with such tenderness and care really made your heart melt and Alastor could notice that her words had an effect on you

“You see my dear” he spoke up “Your smile is such a wonderful thing and something that you should be proud of”

never in a million years did you think that hell would be the place where you eventually would come to love your smile but here you were. Being comforted and reassured by two smiling cannibalistic demons and you couldn’t help but smile, teeth and all, as you laughed softly to yourself “Thank you guys, really, hearing all of this has really helped”

and the two smiled at you with a sort of pride and happiness “Of course dearie it’s only the truth” Rosie says before taking a sip of her tea “Yes quite, it’s lovely to finally see your full smile” Alastor adds, causing you to bashfully look away

The rest of the evening was spent with the three of you talking about anything and everything and of course learning all of the new gossip and you’ve never felt more content.

- saint peter was right when he said heaven was filled with hot people, quite literally everyone was gorgeous and perfect which was to be expected and that included you

- but despite knowing this you still had moments of insecurities

- like what if that was just the heaven folk being nice to you? only complimenting you because it’s probably an unspoken rule

- usually you could brush away such thoughts and reassure yourself that you were thinking nonsense but somedays it just felt impossible to think anything else

- today just so happened to be one of those days and it was obvious enough to notice that even adam picked up on it

- you had come back to your shared home without saying a single word, only a heavy sigh left you as you slid your shoes off, dragging your feet to the living room where adam was

- “Damn bitch, what’s got you so upset?” he would ask rather bluntly but you couldn’t muster up the energy to look at him

- so you instead end up flopping down onto the couch and laying your head on adam’s lap, your body turned away from his “It’s nothing, just tired” you would mumble, holding back another sigh

- adam would furrow his brows and gently grab your chin, guiding your face so you would be looking at him and not the wall “Babe, you let out the biggest fucking sigh ever as you came in and you won’t look at me, clearly somethings up”

- finally letting that sigh go you sit up and lean your head on adam’s shoulder “It’s just…. I don’t feel like I’m attractive enough to be with you. I mean just look at me, I’m flat as a fucking board. I’m surprised I managed to even woo you since I don’t seem like your type like… at all” you confess

- and all adam could do was stare at you in shock before the most confused expression ever glitched through his mask “You’re fucking joking me, right?” he asked in disbelief

- “Listen here sugartits that’s stupid talk. What you just said? Dumbest shit I’ve ever heard”

- and you were about to get ready to be defensive by telling adam that he wasn’t helping by calling you stupid but then he put his finger to your lips with that oh so charming smirk of his

“Listen here sweetheart, you’re fucking stunning and way more good looking than any other angel here, except for me of course”

- you just roll your eyes when hearing this but then adam’s voice actually softens

“What I’m saying is, is that you’re perfect just the way you are. Seriously, like you’re hot as shit and I love you for that”

- then finally you let out a chuckle that adam was dying to hear “I love you too” you say with a soft smile while shaking your head “Thank you Adam”

- “Don’t mention it sweet cheeks” adam says with a shit eating grin before pulling his mask off so you two could finally kiss

·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ this is my first time writing adam (or any character like adam for that matter) so sorry if he seems a little off but he was still fun to write and i’m excited to improve on him

- at first adam annoyed you just like almost everyone else in heaven

- he was loud and vulgar with his words, his cockiness and ego were unmatched and he always had some terrible joke to tell

- and unfortunately for you you became his primary target

- there was just something about you that had caught adam’s attention that he just couldn’t seem to get enough of so he found any excuse he could use to be with you

- “sup sweetface? wanna ditch your boring ass work to came hang with me instead?”

- and you would simply roll your eyes at him with an unimpressed look on your face “no adam because unlike you i can’t just ignore my heavenly duties”

- which would cause adam to frown “babes, you know i’m the fucking adam right?” pointing both fingers at himself

- “nobody can say no to the original man, you get me? so come on already and ditch your work to come hang”

- realizing there was no way you were winning this you sigh and give in with a small smile of endearment “you really are something, you know that?” you ask rhetorically

- this time adam smirks with a proud look on his face “no duh” he answers “now come on and check out my guitar playing skills, i’m fucking awesome at it and i’ll totally win you over with it”

- and unfortunately for you (again) adam was actually right, he won you over with his stupid guitar solo that actually wasn’t really stupid it was really fucking cool, it just pissed you off that he actually was good and was right

- after that you found yourself slowly warming up to adam and looking forward to him visiting you

- despite his attitude he could actually be really fun to be around with as he managed to make even the most boring things in heaven fun

- even his jokes started to make you laugh which made adam’s heart flutter with joy

- not that he would ever admit that even though he now had a genuine smile on his face

- talking about how he really felt was to difficult so he would try to show it through physical touch

- he would start to wrap his arm around your shoulders if he was talking to someone else or link his arm with yours while the two of you walk around

like yes i know he’s a piece of shit but he’s made me laugh so much i actually love him so expect some adam headcanons and adam x reader stuff very soon

Sonic! <3

- he’d definitely be a big fan of spider-man and has spider-man blankets

- i’m also a firm believer that sonic can’t stay still for no longer than a second and is constantly fidgeting

- he fidgets a lot by bouncing his feet rapidly or shaking his ankles really fast side to side when laying down, he also bounces on his heels fast or drums his fingers

- i also think he would get easily distracted, i mean like he’ll go into a room with a clear purpose, immediately forget what he wanted to do when he gets to said room, and then finds something to fiddle with for a good half hour

- and then on to more random thoughts, i think he’d prefer sour candies over any other kind

- his favourite soda is sprite and when it comes to juices he for sure prefers orange juice

- big fan of punk rock, some heavy metal, rap and all kinds of music in general

- loves to do movie nights with his friends and insists on getting lots of snack and drinks

- could cook if he wanted to but doesn’t have the patience to so he usually always ends up eating out unless amy or tails make him something

- tries to put on a brave face when watching horror movies but ends up clinging on to a pillow to hide and only peeks a little

- is extroverted of course and loves to hang out with his friends doing all kinds of stuff but sometimes his social battery is low and he needs time away from everyone, just for a little bit, so he often runs off somewhere (preferably new) to spend time alone at

- and to end it off i think sonic would really enjoy reading books, he usually goes for adventure books but doesn’t mind trying something new

(a little simple and silly but they were fun to brain storm)

Sonic!

- personally i think sonic would really like rhythm games, his favourites are project diva x and mega mix, as well as muse dash

- for rhythm games he of course enjoys playing the faster paced songs and starts off with hard, completely skipping normal

- but for party games he really likes to play splatoon with all of his friends

- he definitely gets competitive and likes to push straight through to the other teams base to ink

- but for two player games his favourite is for sure cuphead and he saves that game for whenever him and tails hang out

- sonic always plays as cuphead and tails always plays as mugman

- now taking a bit of a leap here, i think sonic would also really have fun playing fromsoft games, like elden ring and bloodborne (more so elden ring)

- for these games he likes to play them with shadow but they never get anything done because sonic is always messing with him and tricking him

Amy!

- she LOVES animal crossing and put lots of time and effort into making her island cute and pretty with her main theme being something along the lines of coquette for sure

- amy of course tries to convince everyone to play animal crossing as well so they can all see each others islands and decorate together

- she also likes to play rhythm games but is less worried about her score unlike sonic, and she actually enjoys the slow songs

- but if amy had the whole day to herself she could easily spend every hour of it playing the sims which seems to confuse everyone but she’s just having a blast

- she also really loves the legend of zelda games and adores zelda

Shadow!

- okay now i know that amy and sonic already like rhythm games but i think shadow would also really enjoy them

- he definitely challenges sonic to the harder songs and secretly enjoys playing with him, even if he might be a little bitter since his score was only 1% away from beating him

- but circling back to elden ring and bloodborne, he’s actually pretty damn good at those games. in elden ring he prefers a bleed build and in bloodborne he usually just sticks with the saw cleaver

- aaaand despite his gruff attitude he actually likes animal crossing so him and amy like to visit each others islands

- i also think he might enjoy a good story game like omori, dredge, night in the woods, far lone sails etc

Knuckles!

- he’s for sure someone who mainly plays fighter games like street fighters and constantly gets his friends to try and play with him in a 1v1

- same goes with smash bros of course, he really enjoys it and likes to play against sonic

- knuckles also has loads of fun playing any justdance game with his friends. he gets competitive for sure but somehow always manages to get 2nd or 3rd

- and much like amy if he had the whole day to himself he could easily play hours and hours of his favourite game, fallout 4

- he usually likes to join the brotherhood of steal for their power armour and such

Tails!

- tails loves the portal games and especially loves to play portal two with sonic and explain the puzzles

- he also likes to play legend of zelda of games but his favourite is for sure tears of the kingdom because he can invent all kinds of stuff

- once in a while he’ll replay undertale because he enjoys the jokes and story but he can only ever do the pacifist run, he’s very emotionally invested

- and on the days where he simply just wants to sit back and relax he’ll unwind with games like unpacking, a little to the left, some animal crossing and so on

Rouge!

- now she doesn’t play many games but one of her favourites i feel like would be resident evil 4, both the original and the remake (a big part of it is because she really loves ada)

- she’ll play animal crossing for amy but doesn’t invest too much time in decorating and what not, though she does love how cute the game is

- and meanwhile thanks to knuckles she’s gotten pretty good at smash bros and street fighter since she plays with him the most

- and last but not least she also likes to play fromsoft games with shadow but she’s definitely more chill while playing
