Winter - New Character
Tumblr media
They call her Winter, a shadow in the snow, a name whispered with respect and fear.
No one knows her real name.
No one sees her face.
She works alone, bow in hand, vanishing with the thaw like a ghost of war.
Some say she doesn’t age. Others claim she’s not even human. But one thing’s certain:
If you think you saw her… you didn’t.

Ghost, during a mission that’s going badly: Right, lads. I think we are well and truly fucked
Soap, under his breath: I would be if you’d just give me a chance
Ghost: what
Soap: what
Gaz, frantically reloading: No. Nuh-uh. I’m not dying here. I refuse to let that be the last conversation I hear

A Little Weird Story from the Hollow
Tumblr media
Yesterday, while we were doing yard work—fittingly, on Memorial Day—a possum wandered into our driveway. Injured. Sick. Dying.
By the end of the day, the vultures had arrived, two of them. Like priestx, quietly ushering it to the other side. They didn’t just clean it up. It felt like a funerary rite. This morning, a deer stood in the yard, just watching them work. Calm. Present. Like it came to bear witness that life goes on.
Now, Spencer is curled in my lap. Bean is at my feet, asleep and unbothered. The rain is that kind you don’t notice until you’re damp. The sky is still gray. Everything is quiet.
It wasn’t a message.
It wasn’t clarity.
It was just… a moment.
A breath of life and death, held still for a little while.
Felt like something from the Hollow.
Figured I’d share it.

ShadowSoul has to have a psych eval
ShadowSoul's back at the psych eval table—not because she's safe, but because she's useful. The shrink asked what would happen if someone could read her mind.
“They’d back away slowly… then run.”
Not a threat. Just a fact.

We Help Each Other Find the Way
A devotional reflection inspired by "The Way" by Dorothy
The sun will rise, the sun will fall We keep searching through it all In the darkness, find a light Till we smile and say goodnight Reach out my hand to you today Cause I might need you just the same It’s alright to be afraid We’ll help each other find the way — Dorothy, “The Way”
During my Coffee Moments each morning, I pour my cup, invite my deities, and press play on a carefully curated playlist. Each song carries the voice, the vibe, and the message of the gods I walk beside.
The Way by Dorothy is a song of The MorrĂgan. And this morning, she brought it to me like a whisper wrapped in wings.
Sometimes, The Morrígan doesn’t shout. Sometimes, she sings.
“Reach out my hand to you today, cause I might need you just the same.” That line hit me in the chest like a blade of truth wrapped in love.
That is the magic of community.
Community is where we remember that we’re not alone. That we are standing shoulder to shoulder. That even the priestess is walking beside you, not above you.
I am the one feeling this fire with you. I am here—reminding you of The Morrígan’s love.
If you’ve been feeling lost, alone, or afraid: This is your sign.
You are not broken. You are not weak. You are not the only one. And you are not alone.
We walk the path together. We steady each other when we stumble. We help each other find the way.
I’ve curated a Discord space—a community of like-minded souls from all walks of life. Your gods are welcome. Your weird is welcome. All that we ask is this: don’t be an asshole. The world has enough of those already.
If you're looking for a spiritual home, we'd love to have you.
Within that space lives our temple: The Temple of the Unseen Flame. Its doors are always open.
You don’t have to walk this path alone.

Coffee with the Gods: Sacred Chaos and the Altar That Grows With You
Tumblr media
Lately, I’ve had a lot of conversations with fellow practitioners who are worried they’re not doing enough when it comes to their altars. Not enough offerings. Not enough tools. Not enough beauty or structure. And I want to talk about that—about altars, about how mine came into being, and about how the altar is, at its core, a place where you show up.
What you put on the altar is meaningful. But your presence? Your relationship? The act of being there? That’s what makes it sacred.
Altars don’t begin as the ones we see in books or on curated Instagram feeds. They don’t spring fully formed with gleaming chalices, polished cauldrons, or matching sets of tools chosen all at once.
Most real altars begin in fragments—a bowl found at a thrift store, a candle from the grocery aisle, a statue gifted or saved for over time. Mine certainly did.
Every piece on my altars was collected slowly, over years. Some cost a dollar. Some were more. Some were found, repurposed, or arrived as small surprises. There’s artwork I painted with my own hands, prints from artists I admire, and pieces that only make sense to me—but make perfect sense to my gods.
And that’s the point.
Because I don’t build altars for aesthetics or ceremonial perfection. I build them as living spaces for the gods I love. Spaces where they breathe, rest, speak, and receive.
Some days, I sit across from the altar on my bed—because I’m chronically ill, and that’s where my body needs to be. I light their candles. I talk to them. I rest in their presence. Sometimes I even play video games with them near, candles flickering gently beside me.
And they’re there. Always.
Not because I followed a rulebook. Not because I bought the “right” offerings. But because I showed up.
Offerings, too, are born from this quiet chaos. The flowers on my altars are often $5 bundles from Walmart or whatever’s in season and affordable. Not always the “perfect” flower for their lore—but always chosen with love.
Anubis doesn’t get imported honey from Egypt. He gets spices from my cabinet—peppercorn, fennel, cinnamon—because they resonate, and because I asked him what he wanted, and he told me.
I could buy an expensive statue of the Morrígan. Something dark and dramatic with all the right imagery. But she didn’t want that. She chose a beautiful raven statue from Michaels during Halloween—on sale for $15. That statue matters more than one that would have cost hundreds. Because she chose it.
Loki, too, has artwork—a non-traditional piece that means more to him than any image drenched in runes or myth. It features a large green snake wrapped gently around the eyes of a blindfolded woman, the scarf binding her sight. It symbolizes the trust of chaos—his chaos. Our bond. The sacred tension of surrender and sovereignty.
These choices don’t follow the books. But they follow the relationship. And that’s where the magic lives.
So here’s the truth:
If you only have a candle and a piece of paper with your deity’s name on it, That altar is sacred. Just as sacred as a gilded shrine. Maybe even more so.
Because you made the time. Because you called them in. Because you offered your presence.
So maybe today, the gods are saying:
Thank you. For the flowers. For the flickers of effort. For the jar of cinnamon, the dollar-store trinket, the whispered prayers from bed.
Thank you for being here. Even when you’re tired. Even when it’s messy. Even when it’s small.
That effort? That’s everything. That’s sacred.
And so are you.
What’s something non-traditional that lives on your altar—something that brings your deity joy, even though it wasn’t from lore or tradition? What object have you placed that makes your god say, "You thought of me."
That’s where the magic lives. That’s where the relationship blooms.

Tea time ☕️ (Drew this over a year ago for the Sunshine Soap Zine. Some thoughts below)
For context, the zine funds meant for manufacturing and charity are gone: https://x.com/soapzine2024/status/1920663015017283887
This was to be my first ever zine, to celebrate a beloved character alongside fellow creators+fans, all towards a good cause. To have it all ruined by one bad actor is a massive disappointment. I hope customers will be able to get their money back and the charity donations met.
I kinda want to offer this as a print for those who wanted a physical copy, but I feel conflicted about having people pay for it… what do you guys think? Is there interest? If I do, I can also make prints of my other works. Let me know your thoughts, and please take care 🧡

Introducing ShadowSoul
Tumblr media
Fourteen months ago, she was just called Shadow.
Now? She's something else. She came back unknowingly—no one saw it happen. Just one day, she walked onto base like nothing had changed. But something had.
The air around her was colder. Her silence heavier. Her eyes… deeper.
Rumors say she died. Others say she came back god-touched. Whatever the truth is, she’s not who she was.
Now, her words echo like prophecy. ShadowSoul sees through more than radars or scans. She sees into us. Into what’s coming.
