Someday, Destiel will be canon. After more than 8 years of waiting, it will happen. But it wouldn't be a starstruck realization followed by a passionate kiss in the middle of the rain. No, their love is something soft and kind, like a mild breeze on the beginning of autumn. Their canon is Dean waking up to find Cas in the bunker's kitchen, fixing up a coffee for himself and Dean—and Cas, having made the hunter's coffee a million times, waltzs around the kitchen with the knowledge of how Dean prefers black, a bit of cream and only one cube of sugar. Their canon is Dean brushing off a fallen strand on Cas' forehead, and Cas looking up and smiling as he leans a little closer, "Good morning, Dean," whispered through the waft of coffee's scent. Their canon is Dean pulling Cas closer by his waist as he plants a kiss on top of the angel's head, his eyes full of love and admiration as he replies an equally soft, "Morning, Cas." Their canon is their intertwined hands as they let the morning melt softly into noon, with only them and a buzzing sound of happiness in that house, speaking of those times they let their love blossom into this beautiful bloom.

i think we can safely say that dean and cas are totally the kind of couple that call each other on skype and then leave their laptop somewhere in the room and do all kind of stuff while talking to each other and they hang up after like 3 hours (and sometimes they forget to hang up and fall asleep with skype still open)
