extremely niche take but hear me out: remus lupin being asked if he knew sirius black have the same energy as glinda being asked "is it true you were here friend?" about elphaba!! the fact that both sirius and elphie are perceived as criminals when actually they're innocent 💔 and their ex-lovers are like: "oh, how i sighed, when they asked if i knew his name" (david bowie reference:) because deep inside, they still miss them. they never stopped loving them, even though they got away, even though they may committed crimes.
