I’d like to say he caught my eye, but he didn’t, not at first. My head was elsewhere all night. It was his drink I noticed. Shittiest whiskey in the house, one glass after another. Suspicion was already running high due to the fact that his shitty Ford Taurus was found sitting on the lone bridge that ran its way out of the dingy place you called a hometown.

“Hello, Y/N? Can we ask you some questions?” A strange voice said from behind you, even though you knew someone was there you still jumped about a mile when a hand firmly grasped your shoulder.

“Look, officer, really I don’t know anything,” you sighed with exhaustion, the police apparently weren’t satisfied with your answers last night because two undercover officers had stopped you.
