Some ideas:

- go buy new sheets in a new pattern and colour or just strip your bed like that and put on fresh sheets - change your shirt - turn your desk/bed/closet/whatever by 90 degrees - visit a part of your city you have never been before - move a little, stretch, go for a run - decide who and how you want to be and try to find something, you can do today - learn sth thats useful for living alone, abroad, somewhere else (finance, investing, cooking, ...) - read sth for you and live in this other world for while (fiction, but also nonfiction)

Maybe one reason to be obsessed with post-war HP fanfics is that we don't want to be alone with our trauma and pain and in the HP universe after the war I guess everyone is a little (or a lot) broken like us. And honestly: who doesn't dream of not having to heal alone?

Okay, but, hear me out: isolated-and-angry-with-the-whole-world one falls in love with hero and would sacrifice the whole world for hero. And hero shows him whats lovable about earth and society until isolated-and-angry one is a soft smiling and blushing mess in the middle of a bundle of puppys and kittens. When you ask isolated-and-angry one about it though they will absolutly deny enjoying anything (of course).

Hopeful. I am not the only one using my own instead of new plastic bags. I am not the only one switching off that light that I don't need. I am not the only one using barsoap instead of plastic bottled soap. I am not the only one having a reusable water bottle. I am not the only one donating blood. I am not the only one voting for someone who supports anti-racism campaigns and renewable energy. I am not the only one seeing no differences made by my actions and sometimes loosing hope. I am not the only one in this thing, thats an adventure one day and a nightmare the other. I am not alone in this.

And together we can make a difference. And together, when we are patient and consistent, we can see a difference.

Imagine your OTP being in a secret relationship but it's getting really serious. So one day they are sitting together with friends/family and everyone knows about one of them being in a relationship and everything and asks about it. And he/she tells them that he/shes thinking about proposing and pulls out this amazing ring in front of everyone but just to show it to the friends. And the other is just sitting there like 'OMG what are you DOING?' But nothing more happens. They are just chatting about proposals and love.

Fast forward 1-3 weeks, they all meet again and ask him about proposing again. And he just casually/matter of factly points to his partner whos sitting there blushing and with exactly that ring they already know on his/her finger.

When I was on my first date with my now boyfriend I had my phone on loud bc my sister was supposed to send me a recipe (my bf and me wanted to cook together). At that time my ringtone was the kim possible sound and I honestly forgot. But when my phone alerted me I knew that was the moment to decide my destiny. If he'd think it was too nerdy he'd think I'm too nerdy as well (also lets be honest, that ringtone's just the tip of the iceberg) and we'd be doomed from the start. So my phone beepbeep beedops and he spins around to look at me in awe and says 'I want that ringtone!'

Looking back in history, us women didn’t always shave our legs and pits. We shave, because we live in a society where bodyhair on women is looked upon as gross and dirty and unclean and disgusting. I know that. And I know, to break those prejudices women would need to stop shaving their hair. But you know? I kinda like the soft skin beneath the hair and I feel more comfortable when I shave. Maybe I started shaving because of society but I personally won’t stop, because I like the feeling and the look of freshly shaved legs. I made that decision for me and my well-being and I think everyone is allowed to shave or not shave whatever they want.

So to all the ladies out there that don’t shave: you rock! and thanks for showing that someone is not dirty just because they got hair.

And to all those ladies that do shave: That’s fine too. And thanks for doing, what you feel comfortable with.

you don’t have to shave your head

To change up your live, you could shave your head. You could get a tattoo, move into a new appartment or house, into a new city in a new country. You can switch your college mayor, you can get a new job. You can buy all new clothes and donate the old ones.

But those are very drastic steps. And sometimes you don't feel ready for such big steps or you can't take them because of reasons. So you take small steps. You don't shave your head, but try a new hairstyle or chop 10 cm of your hair of instead of 30. You draw a little heart on your wrist as a reminder to love and shove your desk to the other side of your room and your bed under the window. You take a break from work or college or take on a new project, like watching every disney movie or reading 1000 pages in one week or playing an instrument. You can keep all your clothes but buy a few pieces that are different from your usual clothes and that just make you feel good and confident.

You don't always have to shave your head. Sometimes it feels just as drastic to cut of 5 cm of hair.
