It’s time to talk about the new art, folks.

First of all, I’m really happy to see the characters in a modern version. I’ve been wondering for a while what they’d look like in a contemporary setting, and now we finally have some clues.

I love that they included Lenore’s cane. It’s great that they’re not forgetting about her injury. She also has some cool ear piercings and a dyed streak in her hair. The tattoo in the shape of the webtoon logo is just adorable. The only thing I found a bit questionable is her swimsuit — it’s surprisingly revealing, especially considering she likely has scars on her legs.

Montresor with nipple piercings (he’s gay), with that little ponytail (he’s gay), with a cross on his chest (he’s a blasphemer).

Ada honestly looks adorable with that hairstyle while she’s diligently burying Will in the sand (eliminating the competition). By the way, her swimsuit is similar in color and cut to her lingerie. She clearly likes pink. Also, Monty probably has her hair tie on his wrist. Maybe it’s a bracelet, but I know some girls give their boyfriends their hair ties to wear as a sign that they’re taken.

Will… well, he appears to be dead. Again. Not the first time, not the second either.

Berenice and Morella look so cute together. I love the little bat keychain on Berenice’s phone and Morella’s adorable pigtails (the artists went a little crazy giving everyone pigtails, didn’t they?).

Annabel is just a queen. I love how she and Prospero are sitting under the umbrella like, “The aristocracy must stay pale.” And yes, Prospero is literally wearing pants and gloves at the beach.

Eulalie dragged in a dead crab (is that a crab?) — and that’s exactly why I love her. Also, her dyed hair streak is so cool.

Pluto has painted nails!! HE HAS PAINTED NAILS!! Your Honor, he is emo.

And Duke… oh, my sweet cinnamon French bun. Do I even need to say he’s built like an athlete? I suspected things were nice under those silk robes, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this hot. And yes, at first I laughed when I saw he’s the lifeguard on the beach. But then I remembered he’s literally the only one who can actually swim properly and constantly ends up saving everyone from the water. So yeah, it fits him perfectly.
