Home Protection Bowl
Supplies
[ ] black or white candle + something to carve it with
[ ] bowl or dish
[ ] protection oil(optional)
[ ] a piece of hair/fur/scales/etc from everyone you wish to protect as a taglock (optional)
Herbs + Crystals
[ ] salt
[ ] cloves
[ ] agrimony
[ ] rosemary
[ ] nettle leaf
[ ] hyssop
[ ] comfrey
[ ] eggshells
[ ] lavender
[ ] amethyst
[ ] obsidian
[ ] clear quartz
(not all are necessary, pick what feels right to you)
Instructions
1. Cleanse your space and your bowl. I like to do this with incense, however you can do it using sound, sprays, visualizations, etc. Pick whatever method(s) feel right to you.
2. Fill the bowl with salt and add your eggshells and herbs (except for the cloves). As you add each herb, set your intention and express your gratitude to the plants for aiding in protecting you. If you're using crystal chips, you can also add those at this time.
3. Stir the herbs counterclockwise to banish any residual negative energy a few times, then clockwise to welcome in the protective energies
4. Grab your taglocks. If you don't have DNA items such as hair, you can write their full name and birthdays on a slip of paper or bay leaf. Bury them into the salt, visualizing the salt as a protective shield around them.
5. Place 5 cloves around the bowl in the places where the points on a pentacle would be, and then place your charged crystals.
6. Grab your candle and carve word "protected" into it. Hold the candle in both hands and concentrate on who and what it would be protecting. If you have a protection oil, annoint your candle at this time. Place it in the middle of your bowl
7. Light the candle with intention and let it burn all the way down. If you'd like to enchant any jewelry or items to protect you in your travels, you can place them in the bowl before lighting to charge them
Refresh once a month, or whenever the energy feels off and you think it caught something
Happy witching!!

I believe in incorporating the plants that live and grow around you into your spiritual practice and common Lilac is prevalent in my neighborhood. During spring it’s incredibly fragrant and I love to harvest the wood and blossoms to make spiritual oils and more. I believe in it comes in a variety of different colors, but I’ll be focusing on its purple and white aspects.
Common Lilac
Gender: Feminine & Masculine
Planet: Venus & Mars
Element: Water & Air
Zodiac: Gemini
Metaphysical powers: Spring, renewal, growth, exorcism, banishing, protection, playfulness, good fortune & misfortune, flirtation, romance, attraction, cognition, memory, wisdom, divination, illusions, pleasure
Lilac wood is commonly used to enhance memory, concentration and more due to its air like properties. This wood is excellent for wands and is also said to be a great offering to forest spirits.
Allegedly, according to several sources the sprigs are used in Russia to imbue children with luck and wisdom. In the UK, in a small localized part of England it was believed to be bad luck to bring white lilacs into the house, but finding one with five petals was considered lucky. The purple and red varieties were less feared but were excluded from house decor as bringers of misfortune.
Since the flowers only bloom for a short period, just a couple of weeks depending on where you live, you only get a brief period of time to harvest, the fragrant blossoms. They typically appear between Beltane & Litha, but often can start budding in late spring in April. This is why they are also associated with spring, renewal, growth and perseverance since they also have the ability to push and penetrate through harsh an heavy winter energies. They’re great for initiating and facilitating energetic breakthroughs and new growth.
In these fairly modern times, they are used for banishing negative energy, ghosts, ghouls and other assorted haunts, specifically the purple variety. They are also considered a romantic sort of flower, that inspires flirtation, playfulness, summer flings/love and short attractions. It may not bring you a marriage proposal but it does bring a fun, playful energy that’s good to incorporate in glamours and love work & it can even defend you from the evil eye.
Could you see yourself incorporating Lilacs into your spiritual practice ?

Technology magick 🤳🏻:
To protect yourself from the evil eye online, you can place sigils or symbols in hidden areas of your photos_
You can either draw the sigil on your phone or on a piece paper. Take a picture of the drawing and use Picsart to cut the picture out ✂️ then make the transparency less visible. This can also apply to drawing on the Picsart app_
This method can also be used to attract abundance, love, or money. (I.E: If you have a Linkedin account, you can do this for your profile picture and do a sigil for wealth, so that way more companies will hire you)_
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Use a vision board as a wallpaper on your phone to manifest your desires_
Passcodes or passwords can be used as a spell. You could make a affirmation your password or use numbers that have a special meaning_
Filters are a form of glamour magick and it can alternate your physical identity_
Making a list of your goals in your notes and can you help you keep track of what you've accomplished (use checkmarks and x's ✅️❎️)_
AI could be used for any kind or magick (baneful, prosperity, etc.) It is something I suggest people be careful using in the future, like everything else in the world it has it's positives and negatives_

On the Twelfth Night tradition, Pagans would sing to the tree, hoisting cheerful mug of wassail to drive wassail demons and coax out an abundant harvest for the Earth. Learning to Cook Like a Witch: From Recipe to Spell
Cooking and spellwork have a lot in common. Just as a witch might craft a spell from disparate odds and ends, so too might a cook create a meal. It's not such a jump to consider that any food, no matter how simple, can become a spell.
In my practice, the thing that differentiates a mundane action from a magical action is the doing. If I'm doing something just to do it, it may have a magical effect. But if I do the same thing with the understanding that it may have that magical effect, it will have that effect.
Therefore, to go from recipe to spell is a simple act: Cook with purpose. The particulars are a bit more involved, of course, as most things often are as you become more advanced.
You have to know what your ingredients are for. When cooking, you can't just throw things together and expect them to taste good with no technique or thought. What does a particular ingredient add to the mixture? Is it for flavor? Does it add or change the texture? Does it bind the other ingredients together or provide a base to be added to?
The same idea applies to spellcrafting. You can't just throw random things together and expect it to work. There has to be a pattern, an understanding, a purpose to what you include. If your materials don't apply to your goal, how on earth will they work?
Success in spellwork comes from the intersection of purposeful doing and appropriate material selection -- just like in successful cooking.
The art of taking a recipe and turning it into a spell is rather simple when it comes down to it. It requires two fundamental cooking skills:
Recipe reading and comprehension
Understanding how and when to make substitutions
If you'd like the food you make to still taste good, as well, you have to also understand what various ingredients taste like. Rosemary and mint might both be good for cleansing or purification, but they taste so vastly different that replacing one with the other will wildly alter your food.
You've got to choose wisely and within the bounds of your tastebuds. Cooking up magic is no good if you can't eat what you make!
If you'd like to read the extended version of this post, including an inside look at my method for turning recipes into spells and an exclusive recipe, check out my Ko-Fi! For as low as a one-time contribution of $1, you can get extended and early access to my work.
Or, if you'd like me to take a recipe of your choice and turn it into a spell or write you a recipe spell from scratch, I offer commissions!

✨Creativity Spell Jar✨
Intention: to gather and give waves of creativity
Power Source: the ingredients in the jar, the light from laptop and phone screens
Ingredients:
Himalayan pink salt (or any salt) - to cleanse & direct the energy to it's purpose
Thyme - to reduce stress and anxiety
Cinnamon - for focus and increased energy
Lavander - to reduse insecurities and for calmness of the mind
Rose petals - for love and confidence
Clear quartz - to focus and amplify he energy
Burnt bay leaf with a sigil
(Coffee - to speed up the spell's process)
Creation:
Cleanse the jar, i used frankincense incense, i also let it burn down while we worked
Add the ingredients, each with its purpose in mind, the order doesn't really matter besides the visual appeal, but we would advise to put salt at the bottom and qurtz at the top
Close the jar and cleanse the space around it again
Seal with something blue - for mind and mental activity, i used blue beeswax candle, but a blue string or cloth is a fair game too
If the wax was used, let it dry out before continuing
Hold the jar in your hands and feel your energy entering the jar, additionally you can think or speak this :
"this jar shall use the light of my laptop/phone screen as the source of its power, this jar shall use this power to gather and give creativity to me, to help me achive my goals in art, music or any and all creation, as i say so shall it be"
Additional Notes:
For the sigil we used the phrase "CREATIVITY FLOWS THROUGH ME" . I won't show the sigil itself here.
Happy spellcrafting everyone! ✨🌈🌿

Celebrating the Summer Solstice: A Witch's Guide to Litha
🌞🔥🌿
As the wheel of the year turns to the height of summer, we embrace the vibrant energy of Litha, also known as the Summer Solstice. This magical festival marks the longest day and shortest night of the year, a time when the sun stands still and the Earth is bathed in its fullest light. Let's dive into the essence of Litha, explore how witches celebrate this sun-drenched festival, and discover rituals, spells, and traditions to honor this radiant time.
What is Litha?
Litha, celebrated on or around June 21st, is a festival of light, abundance, and the peak of the sun's power. It symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and is a time of joy, growth, and the bountiful gifts of the Earth.
How Do Witches Celebrate Litha?
Witches celebrate Litha with outdoor rituals, bonfires, feasts, and a deep connection to nature. It’s a time to honor the sun, embrace its energy, and celebrate the fertility of the Earth.
Rituals and Spells for Litha
🔥 Bonfire Rituals: Lighting bonfires or candles symbolizes the sun’s energy and power. Jump over the fire (safely) or a candle to bring good luck and cleanse yourself of negative energies.
🌿 Flower Crowns and Herb Gatherings: Create flower crowns and gather herbs like St. John’s Wort, lavender, and rosemary, which are potent at this time.
💧 Sun Water: Collect water in a clear jar and leave it in the sun to absorb its energy. Use this sun-charged water in rituals and spells for vitality and empowerment.
✨ Sun Meditation: Meditate outdoors, focusing on the warmth and light of the sun. Visualize its energy filling you with strength and positivity.
Litha and Sacred Symbols
🌞 The Sun: The central symbol of Litha, representing life, energy, and power. Honor the sun with sun-shaped symbols, colors like gold, yellow, and orange, and sunflowers.
🔥 Fire: Symbolizing transformation and purification. Incorporate fire into your rituals through candles, bonfires, or even a simple flame.
🌸 Flowers and Herbs: Representing the Earth’s abundance and fertility. Decorate your altar with fresh flowers and use herbs in your spells and rituals.
Other Litha Traditions
🥗 Feasting: Celebrate with a feast of summer fruits, vegetables, and dishes cooked on an open fire. Share your bounty with loved ones, embracing the spirit of abundance.
🎁 Gift-Giving: Exchange small, sun-themed tokens of appreciation and blessings with friends and family.
🏞️ Nature Walks and Outdoor Activities: Spend time in nature, appreciating the beauty and energy of the season. Collect natural items for your altar or as offerings.
Litha is a time to celebrate the peak of solar energy, embrace the fullness of life, and set intentions for growth and abundance. Whether through rituals, spells, or simply basking in the sun’s glory, Litha offers a moment to connect deeply with the natural world and its rhythms. As we honor the longest day of the year, may the light of the sun fill your heart with joy, your mind with clarity, and your spirit with boundless energy.
Blessed Litha to all!
