Education in the Digital Age...
聽This article turned into a 'support your teachers' movement and I liked everything about it. It takes just one change to realize what the entire world is missing out on. The support structure for teaching staff had me on the edge of my seat. It made me want to know more and for that I'm grateful, as it not only showed the changes that would come from such a revolutionary city and even more so during 2020 going into the future.
The city of Moscow hasn鈥檛 invented any of these technologies, nor is it the first to deploy them. All it has done is put the pieces together within a coherent vision and at scale, so that the various parts of the school system are moving in the same direction.
For many other school systems, that still seems an insurmountable challenge.
This embraced the ideal that times have changed and teachers are no longer the smartest person in the room when it comes to e learning and technology use in classrooms. By finding comfort in that knowledge you can better teach and create lasting memories for the students you鈥檙e in charge of, especially by using technology that they are not only familiar in but ones they know very well.
We have a lot to learn and even more to let go off. 2020 taught us the hardships that teachers face in the classroom, by bringing that experience home first-hand. And in ways that have shown the challenges that teachers face but how we can make their jobs easier, even just a little.
Going forward we should try to empathize with those around us. You don't know what someone's going through. It won't take from your day to be kind and show sincerity.
The world is filled with all types of people and before you judge anyone, ask yourself if you yourself are also ready to be judged. There is so much to live for in life and we all have to learn from someone.
Being a student is the one title we all never lose even after graduating from school and starting our careers. It stays with us all our lives and is something we should treasure and make available to all others.
You never know whose life you could change for the better without trying.

Media on Media...
Over the years I鈥檝e been exposed to media on media programs that cover current events in many forms. They use humor as a support for the issues they cover, enough for even a high school me found appealing and is still an avid watcher today.
The programs are: GRUEN PLANET (and it鈥檚 many re-brandings over the years), Mock The Week and The Russell Howard Show.
聽I鈥檝e always been a comedy lover and these shows introduced me to some of my now favorite comedians. It talked about current affairs and advertisements in a way that entertained and taught at the same time.
GRUEN focuses on advertising, the name coming from Gruen Transfer, referring to the response to designed disorientation cues in retail media. Hosted by Wil Anderson with accompanying advertising industry experts Russel Howcroft and Todd Sampson.
While Mock The Week and The Russell Howard Hour - British topical satirical shows, offers commentary on the news of the week through mostly stand-up.
MTW format sees six comedians divided into two teams and performing on a faux game show, in which the quiz aspect of answering questions relating to major and regional news items, all taken from the week prior to each episode's filming, is sidelined to focus on satirical, topical discussions on news items, stand-up routines, and the use of improvisational comedy.
While The Russell Howard Hour also uses comedy sketches and humorous video clips, whilst also having guest appearances from people who have been featured in the media recently.
As someone who isn鈥檛 an avid news watcher these shows have helped me keep in touch with the news around the world, while still keeping it entertaining enough not to lose my attention.

The Type of Writer I Am...
For the longest time I鈥檝e wanted to know what kind of writer I am. Not because of any reason or meaning, but just out of curiosity.
I鈥檝e done many survey and quizzes over the years, but the most recent ones have described me to a T.
聽I鈥檓 a Closet Writer who fit into the Hesitate archetype with a secondary as an Artist and third as a Spiller. True to nature I hesitate when it's time to hand my work for judgement.
My impulses scream to keep it to myself, but as an aspiring writer I want my art to be seen and heard. Loved even. So to counter chances of rejection, I spill.
聽More information, more descriptions and more of everything.
聽I like to write but not with the intention for others to read it. It's a fascinating outlook to what I'm really like and it called me out more than I thought these quizzes would. So yeah, I need to let my stories speak for themselves.
聽And for that I need to work on daily tasks to make writing easier for me going forward.
