The fabulousness that is this idea
Danny's found a way to dodge GIW trackers, as well as his parents. Their equipment hunts ghosts, ghosts run on emotion; so as long as he keeps his under a tight lid and doesn't feel anything ever, they won't be able to track him.
It works!
He's able to run from them, and goes as far as New Jersey. The plan was to stow away on a ship, and go to literally any country that wasn't America. He goes to Gotham, which hosts the one harbor he knows where no one will ask any questions.
But because of how weird he acted (completely emotionless during a Joker attack), he was fingered by police immediately.
He's handed over to CPP. CPP doesn't know what to do with a teen literally so traumatized that they don't show any emotion at all, ever. He keeps just...walking out of his placements. Just leaves without a sound.
Luckily, he's always caught, due to those placement houses having quiet alarms and him refusing to run.
They call the one foster parent they know who does.
Bruce Wayne takes in the strange, nameless kid who refuses to talk.
On paper, they gave him the filler name of 'John Doe', for lack of anything better to do.
Bruce does everything he can to make the newest arrival feel at home. Damian, for as territorial as he is, actually breaks out of his shell sooner than expected just to try to get the new kid to speak. To emote. To do something. Duke tries the open approach, then tries the 'no one will ever know, everyone thinks I'm an innocent goody-two-shoes' approach. Nada.
Tim even tries to trick him into talking, but nothing works.
Enter Dick; Dick heard about Bruce's new ward, about the situation, and decided to see if he could get the kid to open up.
Danny though. Danny's in trouble.
The Wayne Manor is weirdly secure, and he can't just walk away like he did his other placements. He can't use ghost powers or the GIW and his parents will immediately know where he is.
He really, really wants to take Bruce up on his offer and just spend the day relaxing. Respond to Damian's attempts to provoke him. Overshare about space facts with Tim.
But most of all, he really, desperately wants to get in a Pun Competition with Dick. He wants to laugh at Dick's jokes, and learn coolass gymnastic tricks!
But he can't!
If he relaxes with Bruce, he'll be content, which is an emotion. If he argues with Damian, he'll get annoyed, which is an emotion. If he sneaks out with Duke and breaks the rules, he'll get happy, which, again, emotion. If he overshares with Tim, he'll get excited, which is, yet again, an emotion!
The worst sin of all, he can't even show proper appreciation of the food the Butler keeps making him!
And now there's even more people coming over!
There's a quiet girl who keeps reading his body language and trying to get him to dance ballet, a blonde girl who keeps trying to kidnap him to take him to BatBurger, a guy with a stripe of white who wants to take him to a shooting range, and it just...he really, really wants to!
He wants to do all these cool things with them!
But he fucking can't!

A concept
May I request a Hero thinking they're getting rescued from Supervillain by the Villain but -SURPRISE- Villain drugs them and kidnaps them for themselves.
Request #30
CW: lightly suggestive because apparently I can't help myself.
The hero was getting tired of the whole seeing nothing thing. The ropes and the gag were similarly annoying but for some reason it was the blindfold that was really starting to grind on their nerves...
Namely because they were convinced that they should have managed to get the damn thing off by now.
They grunted, shifting about on the cold concrete floor of the cell they'd been dumped in for what felt like the hundredth time, desperately trying to angle themself in such a way that would allow them to shift the fabric up. Up and, with a bit of luck, off. Though, with how well the endeavour had been going so far, it seemed that they were closer to scraping their cheek than actually removing the blindfold.
Stupid, unnecessary thing. They were trapped in a locked room - what did it matter if they could see? The hero wasn't escaping any time soon: the least the supervillain could do was show them the tiniest bit of hospitality.
They continued their awkward shuffling on the floor, cursing internally when it got them nowhere. With a huff, they struggled onto their knees, ass up, attempting a new angle only to freeze at the sound of a lock clicking free. The door slung open behind them not a second later, the hero's cheeks turning red as they took their position into account.
The supervillain really couldn't have chosen a more embarrassing time to enter.
Slowly, the hero raised themself back up to face in the other's direction, legs shifting beneath them uneasily. And that was it: that was all they had the power do. They gulped, trying to remain calm as the door closed and locked again, the sound of footsteps starting to circle around them like any predator eyeing up its prey.
The supervillain wouldn't kill them. That much they were sure of. On the other hand, the master criminal had never been known for their kindness.
The hero couldn't help but flinch as the movement came to a stop and their chin was grabbed gently, head forced to tilt upwards towards an enemy they couldn't even see.
Seconds dragged by. A minute.
The hero's body grew more tense as the time went on, mind eternally preparing for what seemed to be an inevitable blow.
But, instead of a punch, came a voice. A voice that was not the supervillain's.
"How the hell did you get caught?"
Had the hero's mouth not been gagged, they would have gasped: there was no world in which they got this lucky.
"You do realise how hard it is to catch you, right?" the villain continued on. "Gods know I've tried an embarrassing amount of times."
The hero sagged, muscles going limp as they let out a small sound of relief. The villain wouldn't hurt them. They were an enemy, yes, but they'd helped before and the hero had no doubt that that was what they were here to do now. If there was anyone out there that would dare to defy the supervillain's plans then it was them; even at the price of saving their nemesis, the villain would do anything to ensure that the other criminal never got what they wanted.
The hand that held their chin carefully slid back to the knot of the gag and was soon followed by a second. The villain's fingers worked quickly, a breath of fresh air passing through the hero's lips within moments.
"Thank you," was the first thing the hero said. Their voice was scratchy - throat as good as sandpaper - but they spoke all the same, determined to let the other know that this wasn't a mistake. "Thank you, thank you, thank--"
"Don't thank me yet, I still have to smuggle you out of here."
It was a good point.
The hero waited patiently, expecting the villain to do more untying, only to startle a little as the top of a bottle pressed against their lips - a drop of water escaping down their chin.
"Your voice sounds crap. Drink," the villain said.
But hero shifted back instead. "Seriously?" they asked. "You're more concerned about that then my binds?"
Even with the blindfold on, they could practically see the villain's smirk as they responded.
"Of course. Your health is my main priority - it would be a shame to see you faint on me. Not to mention..." The tip of the bottle pressed against their lips again, the villain holding their head in place this time. "You look so pretty when you're on your knees~"
Maybe the blindfold wasn't so bad.
The hero's cheeks were redder than they'd ever been but they were at least somewhat sure that the fabric hid it. For the most part.
They didn't deign the villain's remark with any response. Simply tilted forwards to take a drink and get it over with, doing their best to keep steady as water poured into their mouth. The villain made sure they drank slowly, measuredly. By the time they were done, the hero's blush was tenfold and they were certain that at least half of the bottle had to be gone - their legs tired of their position and their neck aching a little as it had been forced to crane up.
When the villain let them go they sat back with a huff, letting their sore muscles relax once more. "You're a menace, you know."
"Oh, I know." The hero heard the bottle being stored away into a bag. "You love it, though."
"I do not--mmph."
The gag was back in their mouth.
The hero froze in their surprise, mind working sluggishly as they felt the villain tying it back in place.
What were they doing? They knew that they needed that off, right? They were meant to be getting them out, not reinstating their predicament.
Just what was the villain playing at?
"You really are a pain to catch," the other commented. Again. "The worst, actually."
Behind their gag, the hero frowned.
"Do you know that I've made forty separate attempts to kidnap you in the past year? Ninety in the past two?"
What was happening clicked for the hero then. They shook their head in disbelief, blindly shuffling back across the concrete.
The villain couldn't seriously be considering this. It was a joke, it - it had to be.
The hero tried talking some sense into them but it all came out muffled. And even if they had gotten the words out...something wasn't right: the hero felt fuzzy. Weighed down. The villain picked them up and the hero felt they couldn't even resist, limbs thick as lead and thoughts growing clouded.
Oh no.
Oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no.
The villain wasn't just considering, they were doing it. They'd been set on it the whole time - they'd drugged the water.
"I hope you don't mind. I mean, it's just too easy: how could I not?"
The villain shifted the hero's weight across their shoulders casually, taking a step forwards in what the hero assumed to be the direction of the door. Sleep was overcoming them quickly now and, in their dreary state, the hero honestly couldn't tell if this was better or worse. Better right? Surely better - anything was better than the supervillain...
But, then again, what the other had said was true: they never had been taken captive by the villain before.

This would be so funny to read in a book
Prompt (242)
The villain blinked blearily as their alarm went off. They reached over to turn it off, and saw the time.
“Oh no,” they said.
They jumped up, and started shaking the hero, who was lying on the other side of the bed.
“Get up,” the villain said, panicked. “We’re supposed to be fighting each other downtown in 20 minutes!”

I’ve not seen any starved touched hero stories so may I request a starved touched hero and the villain finds out and helps them. It’s fine if not:)
"Tell me," the villain murmured, as the hero's breath came out quivering. "When was the last time that someone touched you?"
It wasn't what the hero had expected.
"People touch me all the time."
"Kindly."
"You're not kind."
But the villain's touch was such a gentle thing; the hero's brain refused to register it as cruelty, even as the villain's fingers were curled around their throat. They didn't squeeze though.
The hero should have pulled back already. They should have shoved the villain away. They did none of those things. They leaned limp against the wall, almost hypnotised by the back and forth sweep of the villain's thumb brushing sweetly against their pulse point.
It was pitiful for a nice threat to feel like affection. They were pitiful.
The villain's gaze was intent.
"What are you doing to me?" the hero whispered.
"I'm not doing anything." The villain's powers worked with touch, but they had never touched the hero before. The hero had always been too quick. The villain had managed that time though, advancing, shoving the hero to the wall and then - then this. The villain had touched their skin and then they'd gone perfectly still for a few seconds. The villain could expose all secrets with a press of their fingers, do all manner of things, but...
The hero swallowed, eyeing them. They genuinely didn't think the villain was doing anything.
Each second that ticked by seemed a confession, a betrayal, a plea for something.
The villain's hand slid slowly to to cup the nape of the hero's neck. "You didn't answer my question." The villain pulled the hero a step closer, dragged them flush. The villain's other hand wrapped around the hero's back.
They were being hugged.
A confused, entirely too soft sound left the hero's throat. Questioning. A little choked. It felt like a trap and it felt entirely too desperately lovely.
The villain tightened their grip, tucking the hero's head against their shoulder.
"Skin hunger," the villain said, softly. "Touch starvation. You are a famine, love, I can feel it."
"I-" The hero didn't know how to finish the sentence. The villain was so warm against them, a solid and reassuring presence. That couldn't be right. "What?"
"It has been entirely too long, hasn't it?"
"You're not doing anything?"
"I'm hugging you."
"Your powers-"
"-Mean I know exactly how you are feeling. How much you need this. So are you going to be good and shut up and let yourself have it?"
The hero choked out another gasp of air.
Was that was why the villain had stopped? Why they'd seemed to switch gears so abruptly when they could have finally won? The hero swallowed and shut up, even if it was a bad idea. Inch by inch, when the villain did nothing more but hold them, the hero relaxed. They melted.
"Why are you doing this?" the hero managed, pressing their face against the promise of the villain's shoulder.
"Kindness?"
"You're not kind."
The villain huffed, breath rustling the hero's hair. They pressed a kiss atop the hero's head. "Mm. Temporarily benevolent. No strings attached, pinky promise."
It was definitely suspicious, but it really did feel so unbelievably good. The hero felt like they'd settled into their bones for the first time in years. Maybe longer.
They really couldn't remember the last time someone touched them kindly, for an extended period of time. A brush of accidental touch in a crowd. A hairdresser's clinical contact. None of it was anything like what the villain gave them.
"That's better," the villain said, with a sigh. "Your nerve endings have stopped screaming at me."
"S-sorry. I-"
"It was merely an observation. You don't need to be sorry."
The hero expected the villain to get back to it, or step back. They didn't. It was probably the longest hug in the world.
Finally, the hero let themselves reach out, wrapping their arms around the villain in turn.
"Good," the villain said.
"Are we still...I shouldn't let you touch me. I'm not stupid."
"No."
"Are you going to let go of me?"
"When you actually want me to, sure."
"And you can...feel that?"
"Yes."
The hero squirmed with embarrassment. The villain tightened their grip again. The hero went still.
"Years," the hero whispered, finally. "It's been years. I can't remember the last time."
"Mm." The villain nuzzled into them. "That's not going to happen again. I don't believe in torture."
Neither of them much felt like fighting when they finally broke apart.
