Imagine you wake up in a magic city full of weird people who are either halfway to becoming monsters or are already monstrous, and they're all cosplaying from a half-remembered version of the 1920s. You're tasked with finding out what happened to your missing predecessor, where the hat, and the spirit in it, everyone is fighting over is, and also sort out other problems along the way. And all their problems are either petty grievences or Gay. Or both.
