I will no longer post on this account

As you can guess by the title of this post - I will no longer post on this particular account.

There are many reasons for me doing so - most notably, my life, writing style, and preferences have changed massively ever since I went on hiatus, so I don't particularly enjoy writing about the characters and fandoms that I previously did, thus I believe that it is time to move on with this chapter and move to another.

Another reason why I wanted to stop writing on this account is in regards to the current privacy-related problems, particularly, how AI uses fanfiction to enlarge its database and the relatively new problem of other people stealing fanfiction without the author's permission and selling it either in physical and digital forms. On this old account, I fear that I won't be able to guarantee the safety of my work and by extension myself, but on future accounts, I might have the chance to implement measures against them.

But I would also like to say with all of this that that doesn't mean I'll stop writing entirely. I most likely will create a new account with updated security measures to prevent the theft of my works and post there and/or post on other platforms that are relatively safer.

In regards to my old works and works-in-progress - the older posts will remain here on Tumblr while the unfinished projects will be posted on AO3 as orphaned works and anyone else who wishes to pick them up will be able to do so.

I sincerely thank you all for supporting me thus far and hope that you will continue to support me in the future! I will post any further updates as reposts to this one.

Chapter 4 - Shadows rise with the sun

Chapter summary: As a new chapter begins, the old darkness of the mind seeps through the carefully patched-up cracks.

It almost felt like slightly wet clothes clinging to my skin. Not wet enough to feel suffocated by the weight but damp enough to feel it spread across the fabric and skin.

And as much as it would've been pleasant to think that it was just melted snow or mist, I knew better. For water isn't usually as black as night.

"Well?" my voice rang in the air. I could feel my body trembling. From fear, the cold, or the other thing, I had yet to decide. "I believe if I am going to be forced to go somewhere, I would prefer to walk on my own two legs."

The large and burly man slowly stepped through the shadows, and as more of his figure started to show in the light, the more I could see how much he had changed.

As the dark moistness crawled further up my back, I could feel the skin beneath my eyes straining as I looked at the man in front of me.

His joints are more exposed. Strike!

The sharp intake of cold air burned my nostrils, and my eyes stopped darting from one weak point to another and finally rest on the old man's face.

"What? You don't like my idea?" North's voice was still as deep as I remember. The type of deepness, that brought warmth, but, if you listen closely enough, you can hear the thunder in his voice that is waiting to strike at a moment's notice.

No one must know. Not now, not ever. It will only make things worse.

"Not particularly, no," It felt like vomiting out a rock from my throat, that was blocking my airways. But after a few words, at least it became easier to breathe, "As an autumn spirit and by extension a wind spirit, I like having some freedom of my own."

If only that freedom can be applied to the darkness spreading within me. If only I could rid myself of this disease.

"Fair enough," The burly man's brows rised in a gesture of complience, his posture becoming less tense, "But I'm sure you know why you must come, don't you?"

"I can think of a few reasons," I replied calmly.

Don't trust him.

The corners of my mouth tugged up and I felt a bittersweet lightness rise from my chest to my head. It felt like taking just enough alcohol to feel tipsy but being far from drunk.

No one must know.

"Perhaps I'll finally have to pay for my sins. Perhaps you'll... keep me under lock and key in a dungeon, so I would never escape or, OR, even more blasphemous!" I jested, desperately hoping that he wouldn't see the distress within me, the weakness, "You like my company!"

"You... are much more amusing than when we last met," I could see his brows furrowing in confusion before once again relaxing. I quietly let out a small sigh. He doesn't know. Thank the Spirits. "But you know as much as I do that none of those things you've said are true. At least most of them"

"I know," I sighed in defeat. And strangely, it almost felt... nice. Being trusted again. "And I suppose I don't have the option to refuse your summons, do I?"

"Nope!" North chuckled and I felt a broad smile overcome my features.

How long has it been since I last felt such happiness? Since I let my guard down around others?

"Fiiiiiiine," I groaned out before my face once again turned calm with a hint of a smirk on my lips as I teased, "As long as I will be spared from any welcoming celebrations."

"Oh come on!" The man asked in disappointment, a hint of amusement present in his deep soothing voice. "The least you could do is grant me the pleasure of hosting your welcoming party"

While uttering his last words, North reached into one of the pockets of his jacket and procured his signature snowball. A tiny image of a frozen landscape in a blizzard appeared in the globe before it was thrown in front of us.

A large swirling portal appeared before us and I could already see snow-covered mountains and buildings at the North Pole. And as we stepped through it, I felt the heavy darkness recede to somewhere unknown to me.

No one must ever know.

A/n: Welp.... Many months have passed since I last posted a chapter for this story. Or posted anything really.

I truly didn't mean to disappear from all of you. You've all been patiently waiting for new updates for this story. But now it is here.

I have a few things that I have to talk to you all about:

I'm not sure when I'll be able to post. Currently, I am in my final year at school so I must focus on many things - my major scientific project, exams, studies overall, and what I'm planning to do in the future. Thus, I have little free time to write.

I don't have much inspiration at the moment. It's both from the stress, the lack of free time, and just the good-old writer's block. That is also a huge contributing factor for my recent and from what I can tell, possibly my future disappearances.

Going forward, I truly hope that all of you can be as patient as you have been thus far. I'm truly trying my best, and I hope you can understand that.

I wanted to ask you if you could do Ikemen Vampire headcanons with a hot tempered POC Mc with sun kissed brown/bronze skin, long curly hair and dark Brown eyes with a few gold Amber sparkeles, that you can only see in the sun and who is multiracial because she is from the Mediterranean-Arabian region like Tunisia who speaks 5 languges ( Arabic, French, German [was born there], English, Spanish) because of it.(Fun fact, North African are genetic seen south European ppl, only 1% have arabian roots and the most people there have Italian/French/ Balkan and Spanish genetics and some Japanese and Korean too because they were amazigh [bereber who wandered] but the people follow there mostly the Arabian culture and religions even tho som of them are jews, sorry I am a biology nerd :,) ) Could she have issues with her identity because of the many nationlities and because family she follows arabian tradition, religion and cultures and often mix things in languages and culture up when she swears? Can it possibly be with Theo, Napoleon and Comte and anyone you like?

However, I don't think that I will be able to add every physical aspect that you described in this request. I can make the reader or y/n a person of color, specifically a Mediterranean/Arab POC, but I would still like to leave the finer details out of it because I want more readers to imagine themselves through my works however they wish.

This just applies to the physical appearance of the character and not the cultural/nationalistic/linguistic/etc aspects of the request. I am more than willing to include all of the other aspects, just less about the appearance.

This request is complex... please feel free to ignore. I just need comfort and I don't know if I deserve it.

The thing is I am a person with diagnosed narcissistic tendencies that are triggered (plz don't judge). And the thing is its like a splited personality that I keep to myself and sometimes I just break. It's triggered when something is not as perfect as it was supposed to be (mostly when I do smth), when I don't look good at days, when people insult me, when someone critisise me hard or when I reflect myself, when I want something and don't get it ( ik like a spoiled brat). In breakdowns, fights and arguments I usually wanna look like the good one (stand in a good light with gulty triping,manipulating, lying, charming, acting). And I avoid conflicts or issues what is bad too. And I am hurting people around me, I am afraid to loose them and manipulate them as weel and I know its wrong but I can't control it! When it's over I or nothing is triggered, all the love for my self turns into hatred for myself because I can reflect and can be empathetic. In such phases I just wanna end this whole thing in doing a great sin and cry myself too sleep or try to provoke people too punch me or things as a punshi for myself...Can I please request some comfor? With Comte, Napoleon and Theo please? I just need it please...

I never had the heart to tell him that he didn't help when my hands got cold.

Even before all of this mess, he would see my hands freezing and offer to warm them up by placing them in the large front pocket of his hoodie. If it were anyone else, it probably would've helped.

But this was Jack Frost we are talking about. The boy who nips your nose in the winter and brings winter and ice wherever he goes. Who's body is just as cold as snow itself.

And yet I still let him put my freezing hands near his body. Because despite my mind screaming at me not to get attached to him, I still managed to fall for him.

Even now, as we both lay in the deep ravine, both being betrayed and abandoned by Pitch with no way of escaping, he still takes his slightly frost-covered hands and brings them to his pocket.

"Come on," he tiredly sighs, bringing me closer to his body, one of his hands still holding mine in his pocket, "your hands are cold."

"It's too cold for us here," I shifted around a bit, in an attempt to look like the position was uncomfortable, rather than give away that I was nearly freezing to death, "I doubt this will do much."

The boy didn't say anything, just leaned back against the side of the ravine, holding me close, the cold slowly seeping into our bones.

And as the silence enveloped us, I started to wonder - why, after everything that I had done, after betraying you, do you still offer to warm my hands?

That after I made you believe that I was your friend who shared your beliefs, after joining Pitch Black the very second I was offered power, recognition, and the possibility to finally be seen, after helping Pitch bring down and destroy everything that was dear to his new friends, the Guardians, after deliberately betraying him for my own selfish gain... he still tried to warm my cold hands with his body.

Just like none of this happened before.

What do you see in me to offer me such kindness?

"You stole my heart," Jack's words made me jump, startling out of my thoughts as I jerked away from him, "And even after everything you did, after ...."

I could see his beautiful blue eyes darken, they reminded me of black eyes - dangerous, if you were not careful. And just as they darkened and the momentary pause stretched on, I could feel the heaviness in my chest become tighter, my guilt rs=ising up my throat like bile.

"After siding with him, I still can't find it within myself to hate you."

"Because I know you were fooled like I was. And most importantly," Jack continued on, slowly tracing patterns on my cold hands with his thumb before looking up, "Because I still love you."
