^ wait actually unironically might he be? I’m taking a closer look, and usually, they give the characters obviously similar features to their parents. His mom might have green eyes, and her mouth and chin shape look like him as well as maybe the ears, and obv they have the same hair texture. I don’t really see anything in common with the dad, though, and neither of their noses look like Marc’s, plus his skin tone is different from both of them and they have thinner eyebrows than him. We don’t know what color the dad’s hair used to be, but Marc clearly didn’t get it from his mom. It could be that the mom is his bio mom, but the dad is a stepdad?

The mom has a skirt with sun patterns and rainbow earrings. Nice to see her supporting her son’s character design motifs. How much do you wanna bet they all have pun names based on the sky like Sol(omon) or Sunny or Luna or Stella? Im putting all my money down, just look at the (a)Couffaines. I’m sure we’ll get more about them in another episode

Marc’s schoolbag has a tie-dye rainbow flap and the strap is studded like his belt. Nath’s is paint-splattered, and the flap has a comic book POW sunburst with a half-tone pattern and a graffiti tag. Gone are the days of everyone having bags that were the same assets, just randomly recolored in different pastel shades.

Genuinely what is Nathaniel doing all day to get paint splatters all over his overalls, shoes, and bag? That’s one character design trope i do not enjoy because it’s so quirky Pinterest art hoe manic pixie dream girl, and it doesn’t even make sense because he’s almost always shown using pen and pencil, markers, and digital media. Show him painting more murals or something to justify this. Or give him a yellow Kanken, a huge reusable water bottle, and a phone case with a famous Impressionist painting on it idk.

^ also knowing how rich his family is now, the whole messy-on-purpose aesthetic is giving Coachella attendee idk like trust fund baby cosplaying as a Home Depot employee. Does this make any sense

Seeing Ziggy participating in all this and Nath asking for her opinion makes it even weirder that Ivan wasn’t talking to Stompp last time. See, Nath and Sabrina are making the most out of their free dogs.

The big nostrils they gave her are kind of distracting, though, and I feel like they make her less cute? If I were to draw a goat from memory I wouldn’t give it particularly large nostrils

He has the Adrienette fairytale AU art above his desk. “Oh Mariknight, we’re really in it now”

More epic art! This is still Avril Circus, right? I guess they really got into the romantasy genre

So obv the knights represent them, but I’m thinking are the helmets supposed to be like fur and feather themed to nod towards their hero designs? Is that a stretch?

“He’d rather lose his powers than his partner” that’s the line of the day right there ^ we are so coming back to that later as it shows how different Marc and Nath as well as Alya and Nino’s priorities are than Marinette’s

“They can’t lose their powers, it’s not fair” oh this is so foreshadowing. It also reminds me of the overarching idea that as a miraculous holder you can kind of just do whatever you want, and that you can create a third outcome instead of choosing between two bad things

Really interesting how Nath’s room is so huge, but only the tiny, hidden-away corner of his desk is decorated or representative of his personality in any way. The rest of the room is neutral and boring like it’s from a real estate catalogue, and is clearly in his mom’s style rather than his own. That shows how controlling she is and how even in his own bedroom the space represents what she wants without considering him. There’s even an abstract painting with harsh black smears and a bunch of eyes on it? It’s like his parents put that up to make him feel like he’s constantly being observed or scrutinized by them even when they aren’t physically there, which follows him away from home as well. Creepy af and reminds me of that one psychology thing where putting up posters of eyes is supposed to deter people from stealing. He has to shove his true self into one little corner as far from the door’s line of sight as possible where he can block what he’s doing with his back.

And this whole “true self vs my parents want me to be a certain way” thing is put in the context of homophobia in this episode, but I think it goes deeper than that. His sexuality and career plan are just two examples in what’s likely a constant stream of “hey you’re not existing correctly please fix that”

When Gabriel Agreste in s4 came out I made a post about the juxtaposed shots of Adrien and Marinette’s scenes with how Adrien’s house is oppressively empty and colorless while Marinette’s bedroom and visit to the art room were colorful, crowded, and filled with details full of personality and warmth. They’re doing it again with Marc and Nathaniel’s houses as a parallel to Marinette and Adrien, and showing us the Mariknight art from that episode solidifies the callback. Even then, despite the rest of the house being cold af, Adrien got to have a bunch of colorful games, music, and a TV in his bedroom even though he didn’t really choose which enrichment got thrown into his enclosure. As far as I can tell, Nathaniel just has art supplies. How is Shirel worse than Gabriel in this regard the bar is in hell

Nath rewrote the ending and Marc liked it better hm. He’s also taking poetry class. Before, Nath said he was bad at writing, but it seems like he’s improving. I wonder if they’re moving in the direction of him making solo comics later on. Not saying he and Marc are gonna stop working together or anything, but Nath wants to do this for a living and we don’t have any indication of what Marc wants to do yet, so there’s a chance comics might be a hobby project for him in the future. By which I mean when they’re adults, not like, later this season.

How was he doing all that in that tiny closet? *onlooker sees the closet rattling violently and the legs of a poorly made 3D model clipping in and out of it* and yeah yeah he’s done hiding busting out of the literal closet yeah

I do appreciate a teen coming out story where the character is fully aware of their sexuality beforehand btw. None of that “b-but we’re both boys 🥺” trope just a guy who is openly bi and dating a boy at school but has to hide it at home

Ok this is so nit picky but I do wish they did something to suggest he is bisexual in this episode. Totally understandable to focus on mlm relationships, but I see what I imagine are young kids on the insta side of the fandom get confused about season 1 and assume he “became” gay, or I guess had massive comp-het idk. They might be reinforcing that idea here. I hope there’s something later on at least, like that time Rose joked about kissing both Mari and Adrien.

Oh what the fuck why is Lila calling out Nathaniel by full government name that’s creepy. Is she onto him for potentially being a superhero? Tbf he did transform twice in front of huge windows. And he stuck to the artist shtick a little too hard. If she suspects him then she’s not entirely sure yet? To expand on stuff from earlier, in Daddycop, she tried to akumatize Sabrina after she ran away crying, but didn’t do the same to Nathaniel even though he was arguably more upset. In El Toro de Piedra, there was a suspicious figure stalking Ivan, but I didn’t notice anyone like that here. In both those episodes, she didn’t say anything specific about Sabrina nor Ivan, so what’s going on in this one? Perhaps she was watching him in the scene where he went to destroy the prints?

Another episode where the shitty parents become niceys at the end. Please don’t let them magically be perfect form now on nor Raul nor Emile, let them suck a little but try to be nicer

Ah so the rewritten ending is that the sun and rain knights don’t lose their powers, but combine to create a new power of rainbow? Also mlm on screen kiss but it’s not between real characters. Fair enough, I don’t think this is an appropriate time for a marcnath kiss

There’s something to be said about how wlw relationships are seen as less threatening than mlm in media like girls kissing can be brushed off as cutesy but boys kissing is seen as a weird kink thing, like how the dad was saying mlm romance isn’t deep and sentimental unlike straight romance. In TV-Y7 cartoons in general there have been a good handful of iconic canon wlw moments, but I can’t think of any mlm equivalents other than minor side characters that barely do anything or like, older men who are also background characters and have no romantic subplot because they’re long time partners. In this show they’ve created an in-universe justification for why Marc and Nath are less open about their relationship, but they still continue to be censored far more heavily than Julerose, Zoe, or Caline and Giselle.

REVEAL Nath was gonna be bisexual but not eat hot chip nor lie. This will soooo come back later. When Nino did it, it didn’t exactly have humongous consequences? I mean kind of but not in any way that endangered him nor Alya. That’s what I was saying earlier that Nino and Nath value their relationships more than being a hero. The trouble here is that Lila is being really ominous about Nath, he has a track record of impulsively doing bad things, and he’s recklessly transformed a couple times in this ep alone, so this is… concerning but also cute? And since the comic represents them, instead of giving up their powers after a reveal they’re gonna combine them and make them stronger?

People have been saying there’s gonna be a Myvan one too because of the intro and yeah I agree. Probably even more, like I can’t imagine Luka and Juleka can hide it for long. Marinette will realize that nobody thinks lying to their friends and partners is sustainable. She values being a hero over her relationship because she feels responsible for everything. Like she can’t just quit her job and get replaced at this point, she needs to protect the whole city/world and to her, that’s bigger than her personal life.

Interesting that they’re obscuring Marc’s transformation. Does that suggest his episode is after this? It’s not like it’s a spoiler, we already know what he looks like. Dramatic effect ig. Marc was generally very mature throughout this ep tho, and he jumped into the fight to protect Nath, so idk maybe it came first

Lila already knows who most of the heroes are, but not them. There’s a good chance she will find out and use it against them in the endgame. She does know about Alya and Nino. I predicted after Daddycop that Sabrina might fly under her radar the longest and be key in tricking her a second time.

Important edit: I just noticed the spiderverse-esque comic book effects in his transformation sequence, that’s actually sick. It’s so blink and you’ll miss it and by god I missed it the first time. Nathaniel Kuntzerve or whatever his name is. The goat, like literally

I have also not seen Loki the series yet, I plan to still but don’t have the mental stamina for it yet, I apologize.

BLOG & MUN INFO: Private and selective MCU based RP blog, this means I rp only with mutuals at this time. Multi-ship/verse/continuity. Mun + Muse are both 30+, we will not rp with anyone under 21+ regardless of the plot/topic. ON WRITING:  Medium to High Activity, this means I am online quite a bit, speed of replies however is depending on muse, real life stuff and can vary from absolutely insanely fast rapid-fire to a bit longer. Multi paras and novellas will usually be queued to keep my sanity from going haywire.

I consider myself adaptive and literate ( English is technically my 3rd language, and typos are the bane of my existence please forgive me any errors ). I’m comfortable with any length, script/chats, multi-paras, novellas and everything in between. There is no need to match length, just give me enough to work with and it’s all good.

ON INTERACTIONS: The best way to start writing together is to poke me in IM, throw something via Ask, or make use of the Memes . There is also a permanent starter & interaction call here that I check when I’m inspired to write small or big interactions/starters.

OC and Multi-muse friendly. I am however selective with both.

For OC’s, it’s helpful if you have a plot in mind already and your character is developed with some info/bio I can read up on, feel free to come to me with suggestions ^^

ON TIMELINE & CANON:  I’m in general very anti-Marvel and very MCU critical, especially when it comes to the movies and some directors. Negativity regarding this is rare, if I post about it it will be tagged with “ marvel wank “.

Exclusives/Affiliates:

For my own comfort I prefer to build relationships for my muse that are meaningful and will last. This means that I have main muses/partners that have our love and trust and we will prefer new plots and threads with them over new partners.

However we will not be exclusive with anyone unless there is a mutual exclusivity.

Please note that the exclusivity/affiliation extends to faceclaims also, I’m old af and Thor is set in his ways, neither of us enjoy confusion or chase faceclaims.

Regular non-shipping rps:

There is no issue however with rp-ing as a certain character if I already am with someone else, however I will keep everybody out of each other’s world.

Don’t assume kinship, or friendships. Thor will approach canon characters according to the MCU timeline and will treat them as such.

Thor only has children in side-verses and plotted verses with specific muses. In default/main he has no children ( yet ) so any replies or approaching him as his offspring will result in confusion. Please approach me first to see if I A) am open to new threads and B) am willing to plot something before interacting.

Please don’t be mad if I deny participating, I will always inform you about the reasons.

I take relationships, IC and OOC, very seriously, and expect the same courtesy in return. This means I value OOC communication and enthusiasm a lot, and will expect depth and development between us as muns and our muses. This goes for romance but also family, friends and any other sort of interactions. Wordlessly dropping essential ( key word essential ) and plotted out threads, or disappearing for prolonged periods of time without any sort of communication, or blatantly discarding a ship is hurtful, it kills my muse and the will to invest in interactions.

Hello! Welcome to the Blue and Violet Ask Blog!

As you might have guessed, this is an ask blog where you can ask the Mayor (Blue) and Macaque (Violet) from LMK questions! However, before anything else, there are a few things that you need to know.

General House Keeping:

First things first, if you are not aware already, this blog is directly based and linked to the Blue and Violet Fanfiction series on AO3. Written by yours truly, me (admin/DF), haha! Link to the fic series is in the bio/under the header. If you want to ask questions, please make sure you are up to date with all the chapters in ALL the fics in the series.

What this means is that the only things Macaque and Mayor have experienced is within the context of this fanfiction series (which contains lots of establishment of how they know each other and their perspectives during seasons 1-4). Therefore, you definitely cannot ask these two about season five related things, because it hasn't happened to them yet!

Due to this, this blog will follow the timeline and events of what happens in the newest instalment of the series, 'Winter Mornings, Summer Nights' (previously, it was 'Colours'). After every chapter is posted, you will be able to ask Macaque and Mayor questions relating to that chapter or any events prior.

I must also state that this is a shadowpuppet ask blog. While I am open to any asks that involve mentions of other ships (which may involve either Macaque or Mayor) please keep in mind that shadowpuppet will be the main focus :))). If you don't like this and have a desire to assert your opinion regarding that? Then please, I kindly ask that you do not interact with this blog for your sake, my sake, and for the sake of everyone else who might want to enjoy this. Thank you :))).

IMPORTANT: Whatever happens in this ask blog is NOT canon to the fic series. However, what happens in the fic series directly affects this blog. This means that nothing you ask or say on this blog will affect the Blue and Violet storyline.

Regarding Asks:

I think I will be able to answer every question that you all submit. However, if I find a question too offensive, too uncomfortable, too strange (meaning I just don't understand it :'D) or something that will potentially spoil the future events of the fic series, then I will have to unfortunately ignore the ask. Either that, or I simply answer the ask with a silly picture of some sorts. On that note, please don't ask any character or me what will happen next! They probably don't know either! You'll all just have to wait and see ;D.

You can ask both Macaque and Mayor any questions you desire (within reason of course)! Any side character featured in Blue and Violet is also open to any questions :DDD!

Not only can you ask the characters questions, but you can also just ask me questions about the series in general? Or just... Say something I guess? I've had people do that on my main blog, and it always makes me happy to see that people like what I am writing!

I would also like to make a minor PSA regarding certain types of asks: Yes, you can give gifts to the characters! However it is very unlikely they will become a recurring object. Also, I have noticed that there have been cases where people have submitted asks either roleplaying characters (both canon and OC) and/or requesting interactions with canon/OC characters. Please know that while I haven't had a problem with doing these yet, don't expect me to come up with the perfect response for it XDDD, nor expect any sort of continuation of role play. After all, this ask blog, while being a separate entity in its own right, still follows the narrative of the fanfiction series.

IMPORTANT: After experimenting with the ask box, I have decided that the box will be open for 24 hours whenever it opens! This allows people from different time zones to have an equal chance to get something in if they want, haha. No cap limit on the box for now, just go wild (before I regret this)!

I know it’s probably a normal thing on most social media, but Th is probably my only social media I have so people acting like this is so weird to me….. (I just got tumblr for this I don’t actually use it as intended lol)

I have an oc based in a TV show which I’m not even in the fandom for. I know basic level info on. I haven’t seen the media it’s based in either. I just like one character from it and think it’s neat so I made a character based on said character but then have people then accusing me I have a SA kink or am other god awful things because the creator of the show apparently is? adding me to “black lists” and it’s clouding my name, people really do believe I like these things personally without knowing anything about me and saying I’m a support of the creator who I don’t even know the name of until recently because I made an oc in the universe

And how now I’m a dickrider of the creator when I haven’t even watched the show.

is this really how all the other sites are too? I know Twitter probably is since I’ve heard about it but I don’t have tiktok or insta or anything. I’m seriously worried I’m on the cusp of getting a psa on me just for liking a TV show characters design and having all assumptions of me based on one OC who doesn’t even have a bio…

it really is crazy how people can’t enjoy anything since someone will butt in and ruin it for you, like how you could be doing anything and someone could say “hey that’s not good because _______, don’t do that, you are horrible”

PSA ABOUT MY ORTHO!!!!!!!!!!!

I say this and I want to tell you all a preface that no one has done anything wrong XDD I feel like I haven't been super obvious about my Ortho being an au of him! I don't have any icons so you can't see it on dash, and the only image of him is his banner (which i drew), so it isn't very obvious, and I don't want to make you guys feel like im being misleading.

My Ortho is a human au where he is in Pomefiore. I am writing a comic about it and his ceremonial robes vignette (the first part of the comic) is written and the art is being drafted. Me writing him here is to get a better grasp on him to be able to get things done faster! (And also I want to write him)

I DO WRITE THE ROBOT!! He has far less activity, but since its a verse (which is weird to think about) if you want to write with him you really need to request it because I'll assume you want the au one, which is something I don't want to do.

I also can't write with anyone's Idia with this AU, since things are wildly different. Only @crownshattered 's Idia (since her idia is what i based it off of) I'll write with since we both are canon divergent over backstory stuff. (Read bio if youre confused)

In that regard I'm just gonna assume you want the robot in that case, since Robot Ortho is open to everyone. Sorry for the inconvenience :0

Kirbtober 2024 Companion Pieces - Week Four

Day 21: Rival

Keen readers may have known that in the old bios of Meet the Cast, Bandana Dee and Robobot Armor consider each other friendly rivals. But their rivalry used to be a bit more hostile, which reeks its ugly head at some point in the war...

At least, they get along very well nowadays, and once Robobot Armor got their body back it was friendly rivalry to the max. They both DEFINITELY attempt to beat the crap out of each other in the name of training. I bet they tie a lot.

Day 22: Ship/Hangout

I probably have never mentioned this, but every Valentines Day, Ribbon discreetly sends Kirby Valentines Day's Chocolate, with the vice versa happening on White Day. But of course, the two didn't want anyone to know about this *ahem* chocolate exchange. So the result is... they both had to sneak to make a beeline to the post office to give/receive their gift. It's like a spy movie except it's mundane as hell. But hey... since everyone CAN see how hard they are crushing about each other... I don't think this is necessary...

...they still do it discreetly tho. NOOOOOOO.

Day 23: Wish

Ah, Marx.

Poor guy.

So, regarding the NME - they love targeting those who feel weak to join them in hopes of, well, making use of them. Noddies are certainly included (I follow game canon for these f^ckers) and Marx's family are... uh...

A powerhungry scientist who experimented himself with Scarfy blood and a rich woman who supplies Nightmare with her funds are certainly, uhm, a freaking problem. Marx was made into a guinea pig who knows nothing but whatever propaganda his family feeds him regarding Nightmare and how they want Marx to impress or even surpass him. This is what led to events of Milky Way Wishes.

Fortunately, Marx's in a better place now...

...alive, you idiots! I didn't kill him! He's now owner of a prank shop in Dreamland!

Day 24: Another Dimension

Halcandrans aren't necessary native from Halcandra. They are just named Halcandrans because... they all live there. Apparently they were scattered throughout Halcandra somewhen after the big war between them and the Jambastians.

By the way, did you know Magolor isn't fully evil in this AU initially - a series of misunderstandings and curses led to the tricky scenario that is Return to Dreamland, but that's a story for another day...

Day 25: Epilogue

A drawing based on this doodle page and this part of the story. Yes, this is kinda a redraw? Look, I had to whip this very quickly, I got tired...

But hey... they are happy... at least... reunited, but at what cost...?

Day 26: Moon

Kabuki ability, eh. We did give lore regarding this ability in two entries of last year's Kirbtober, but I suppose some additions are worth throwing in.

So, when I said it was the GSA dividing the power into scrolls... it was the Moon Warriors. Wait, so what are Star Warriors then? Well, in this AU Star Warriors are not magical or anything, in fact there are Sun and Moon Warriors, but perhaps that part of the GSA's a discussion for another day... so let's just know that the Moon Warriors are a different division from the Star Warriors.

I suppose it makes sense for the Kabuki ability to be associated with the moon outside this information in mind as well - Hypernova has the sun, Technician has the star (which makes it technically the leftover), so...

Day 27: Control

This is not a real in-universe PSA, but I'm very sure the team is tired as sh^t regarding brainwashing stuff, especially when some of their allies are PRIME brainwashing material (LOOKING AT YOU, DEDEDE). And within the team itself, 2 of them got possessed before and one got their body yoinked to do things they wouldn't do once. So uh. Safe to say they HATE this.

Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.

Creativity is a muscle, and recharging it is also important. So is investment! Listen. What I'm about to say is rather tongue-in-cheek, because I know all about ableism, anxiety, depression, etc.

But you can't just sit there and stare at a screen. One way or another. I was taught that 'only boring people are bored', which might be harsh for me to agree with 1:1, but it's a point.

There's no possible way you've published all the headcanons that you can. If you got nothing, you're forgetting something. Legit go look up the profession, hobbies, interests of your muse. Their country, their voice/accent. age group. Or, just anything. That's just surface level, as there's a whole world surrounding them as well. You can learn something new every day, just by observing. Take TV breaks, whether that's youtube, media, etc. Your RPing should take cues from real life without having to match up with it. (pokemon rpers, do you know the body language of your critters' base species? monsters, do you know how their bodies work? talk about that shit for example. Animal body language, or even a human nationality's body language is a good start for most people.)

Shit sucks? Do something about it. I'm not gonna fault the bored/depression posting at its core; but there's a lot of indirect handwringing about it. The community sucks, my brain sucks, etc. But you have to help start the solution. I'm a fan of productive posts, such as asking for reassurance when down, starter calls and opens, those're good. But don't be afraid to be productively critical; use "I" language instead of blaming or "you/we" if you have to. "I feel like my headcanon/meme posts are being ignored rn" sounds much more reasonable than "you guys suck at this" or "can we do this/that/etc.???" which a lot of psas can use. Try to be direct with your own wants, as those psas are simply the first step. You should probably still assume ignorance/apologetic/disability over things such as failure and malice, simply because of how we're wired.

Connect the dots. Lotta people don't know where to start, but you have to somewhere. tiny, "boring" opens don't have to stay that way after you answer them, and first impressions may be wrong, but they at least happen. Follow the animal rule; for every no that you have, give a yes. The more yes's and starting points, the better off you'll be. If you don't have any dots to connect, you probably need to do some reading. Bios, blog posts, just pick a person and start. You should know which muses yours would call like, an old-ass or something. Which they'd go to for a favor. Which they like. How they'd treat a stranger, etc. People do lore-correct when they diverge, but there's other paths to open. Find em.

Also like, you have a body. Take breaks to drink, eat, etc. RPing is a great customizable hobby as far as difficulty and speed goes, but you can't run well on empty.

to put it very simply, practice. If you can't, it's a sign something is amiss. Heed them.

Pretty sure antarcticstee is just the scammers alt account used to share every single post they make on their scam accounts and this is based on how they’ve been sharing all the posts that each scam account had active right now.

Can’t confirm they are, of course, but their blog has no other posts beside constantly boosting every scam post I have listed and their bg is one I’ve seen on other scam accounts. The blog was only made a few days ago and their original bio was..Suspicious.

So just a psa/beware that this could be an account run by the scammer trying to make their posts look legitimate because their only active when the scammers are changing urls.

(While it could be someone busting scams as well, I’d be extremely disappointed if your trying to make people lose money by urging people to share and donate to a scammer.)
