People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.

if ONLY because i was at work yesterday out in the play yard and one of the babies from the one year old room walked up to me, held up her arms and went "up. up" and i caved like a wet fucken nOODLE and im inflicting that onto Bruce

so im just picturing like, roughly 18mo Danny, just absolutely teeny, walking up to Bruce in the Batman suit, grabbing his cape and pulling on it to get his attention or plastering himself to the side of his legs (<- real experience i've had) and when Bruce looks down at him Danny just goes "Bah-man, bah-man. Up."

and im teLLING YOU. Bruce would cave in a fucking heartbeat.

or if he crouches down, Danny will just crawl onto him anyways. wraps both arms around his neck and tries to raise his leg over his knee so he can wrap himself around his waist (<- ALSO A REAL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD)

also he can't fully articulate himself yet, he doesn't have all of his teeth quite yet and phonetics are harD, so he can't say Bruce it just sounds like "boo" or "booce" like 'boost' but without the 't'.

Ableist things non wheelchair using disabled people/ occasional wheelchair users have said to or about me as a full time powerchair user:

Not being able to walk makes you privileged over other disabled people

I’d kill myself if I couldn’t wipe my own arse

Yeah but you’re not like regular disabled so you shouldn’t expect to be accommodated

You’re so lucky to have carers with you all the time

At least I’m not like him

Why don’t you use a folding powerchair instead? Then you wouldn’t look so… disabled (answer: because I can’t sit up or breathe properly in chairs that aren’t supportive enough).

Of course they talk to you like you’re five years old… you look well… y’know

You shouldn’t be taking over people work chronic pain just because you can’t walk (said to me while I was talking about my own chronic pain)

I just want you to know that I’d support assisted suicide for people like you.

Again, because it’s important, absolutely all of these are from disabled people.

Saw a post about working class butches in physical labour jobs and wanted to make my own, so: I love you butches who do childcare or early education. I love you butch nurses. I love you butch house cleaners and janitorial staff. I love you service industry butches. I love you butches who do sex work. I love you working class butches who do “feminine” jobs you are cool as hell

But there’s a catch:

This is a fun but real example from high-pressure physics experiments. Here’s how it works:

• Diamonds form under extreme pressure and temperature, like those found deep in the Earth’s mantle.

• Scientists at the Bayerisches Geoinstitut in Germany demonstrated that carbon-rich materials, including peanut butter (which contains a lot of carbon), can be compressed under conditions of about 1.3 million times atmospheric pressure and high temperatures to form diamond.

• They used devices like multi-anvil presses to achieve these conditions.

• However, the process is slow and inefficient, and peanut butter’s other elements (like hydrogen and oxygen) complicate things, often causing explosions during the process.

So yes—it’s possible, but not practical for industrial diamond production. It’s more of a scientific curiosity than a commercial method.

Geniuenly like. So many people claim support disability. But then say something completely untrue

Y’all support autism? So what about when the person has intellectual disability or need help walk talk eat bath use bathroom? Does your support end when you see someone with higher needs?? Someone who actually genuinely won’t survive without support from others n that support is sometimes having other people do everything for them.

Y’all support depression? What about when the person can’t bring themself to get out of bed for days on end? What about when that person goes days weeks months without cleaning self because can’t get up even though need to?

Yall support schizo-spec disorders & psychosis? What about what the person get violent because of their delusions n hallucinations? The ones know are fake but still can’t help but believe in? The ones genuinely believe in their delusions/ hallucinations? What about the ones don’t don’t get violent to self n other because of the disorder? Those that just sit scared about the hallucinations n delusions. The ones that won’t leave their room/ house out of fear of their delusions/ hallucinations?

Y’all support those with physical disabilities? What about the housebound bedbound ones? The ones need gait trainers walkers wheelchairs? What about the ones who full time users? Or the ones that need power chairs to independently move around? What about the ones crying screaming throwing up from their pain?

What about the disabled that always have a horrible attitude because tired of the disrespect? Tired of having to explain everything about them to everyone even if personal? Tired being told get over it n just educate others?

The disabled ones tired telling people not use certain terms. Tired of being spoken over n for without being thought about or asked. Tired of hearing their communication isn’t valid for ‘xyz’

Y’all support but act very picky about who deserves support and who’s not worthy of it. It’s not support if you pickin n choosing

some of y'all talk about physical shifters the way kintok talks about physical therians and it's kind of disgusting.

some of you will say "not all physical therians are delusional! and even if they are, they're just as valid as anycreature who isn't" in the same breath as "physical shifters are delusional. you cannot physically become an animal :/ you have clinical lycanthropy PLEASE seek help and stop getting ur delusion everywhere i just had the floors waxed"

you swear you can experience therianthropy on all levels including physical, but call physical shifters crazy for experiencing physical shifting. you cannot say you love physical therians and then exclude therians who physically shift! you are just as bad as anyone who denies or invalidates physical therians because "you can't have wolf dna"

these communities were created by and for the therians you want to throw under the bus. they created these spaces for us, and you need to act like it
