you sit at your desk, surrounded by open textbooks, half-finished notes, and a blinking cursor on your laptop screen. the air smells like coffee and highlighters, and the only sound is the clacking of your laptop keyboard. you’re in the zone, your mind a well-running academic machine. 
then a voice breaks through your focus. 
“hey," nagi drawls, leaning against your chair, controller still in hand. "you've been at it for hours. maybe take a little break?" 
you barely glance at him. "i’m fine." 
he sighs dramatically, plopping onto your bed with a loud thump. "c’mon, you always say that. but what if this time, your brain actually needs a break?" his voice dips into something persuasive, something teasing. "what if your boyfriend needs your attention?" 
your fingers pause over the keyboard. "you’re just trying to get me away from my work." 
he grins, unbothered. "nooo, i’m trying to make sure my incredibly smart, incredibly hardworking girlfriend doesn’t burn out." he stretches, tilting his head at you. "and, okay, maybe i do miss you a little. can’t a guy be needy?" 
you sigh, rubbing your temples. he’s relentless. always hovering, always looking for ways to pull you away, under the guise of self-care, of course. but you also know him well enough to see through the act. 
“you don’t actually care about me resting," you say, turning in your chair to look at him fully. "you just want me to pay attention to you." 
his eyes gleam. "you say that like it’s a crime." 
you shake your head, exasperated but… amused. he looks so smug, sprawled across your bed, watching you like you’re the final boss he’s determined to beat. and, really, what’s a short break going to hurt? 
with a sigh, you close your laptop. nagi’s face immediately lights up. 
“there we go!" he grabs your hand, pulling you onto the bed beside him. "welcome back to real life, babe. we missed you." 
you roll your eyes, but when he loops an arm around your waist and presses a quick, satisfied kiss to your temple, you think, maybe, just maybe, a little attention isn’t the worst thing.

your boyfriend, a soccer star and a golden retriever in human form, currently flopped across your floor like he’s been defeated in battle. 
"i’m dying," he groans, dramatically draping an arm over his face. "i ran, like, a thousand miles at practice today. my legs are jello. my coach is a monster." 
you hum, unimpressed, as you flip to the next page of your textbook. "sounds like you should be resting, then." 
"i am resting," he says, rolling onto his stomach, chin propped up by his hands as he stares at you. "but it’d be better if my girlfriend cared about my suffering." 
"i do care," you reply without looking up. "i just have an exam in two days, and you being clingy isn’t going to change that." 
"clingy?" he gasps, placing a hand over his heart like you've wounded him. "that’s crazy. i’m just a guy who wants five minutes of attention from the love of his life. is that a crime?" 
you finally glance at him. he’s pouting, eyes big and pleading, the way he gets when he wants something. the worst part? you know exactly what he’s doing, and it still works. 
"i just sat down," you say, though your resolve is weakening. 
"you sat down nearly three hours ago, and you’ll be sitting all night if i don’t intervene." he pushes himself up and stretches, wincing dramatically. "look, babe, i’m a broken man. i need help." 
you raise a brow. "help with what?" 
he grins. "massage my leg." 
you snort. "absolutely not." 
“pleaseee," he whines, inching toward you. "i’ll never walk again if you don’t." 
you shake your head, but before you can protest further, he suddenly collapses into your lap, stretching across you with an exaggerated groan. 
“ah," he sighs, dramatically. "i see the light. this is the end for me." 
“you’re the most annoying person i’ve ever met," you deadpan, but your fingers are already brushing through his hair, his favorite kind of attention. 
his smirk is instant. "oh? then why are you petting me like i’m your favorite?" 
you freeze, but he just tilts his head, pressing closer. 
“don’t worry," he murmurs. "i won’t tell anyone that the academic weapon has a soft spot for her dumb soccer boyfriend." 
you roll your eyes, but you don’t push him away. your textbook is still open, your highlighters untouched, but somehow, you think, maybe, this is the kind of break you don’t mind taking.

March 1st ! If you’ve been slacking, if your study habits have been messy, or if finals are creeping up way too fast this is it. I did a 20-day productivity challenge before, but now, with finals staring me down and less than 90 days to go, I need to actually get my flip together.For the next 50 days, I’m locking in. This isn’t about aesthetic study sessions or fake productivity or like those 10s filming study routine 💁🏻‍♀️ . It’s about deep focus, real progress, and making sure you n i walk into finals prepared, not panicked.

When you’re pushing yourself to study, it’s easy to fall into traps that make the process feel harder than it needs to be. One of the biggest things to avoid is procrastination. A/N: This is my first fic back from a 4 year-long hiatus, so please be kind.
Due to extremely stressful personal issues these past years, I haven't had the urge or passion to write like I did. I'm still not doing well but I'm hoping fanfic could be an escape again like it used to be. I'm going to start small, with some prompts from when I had only just started writing. See if we can't work our way up 🤞
Also, don't ask me how they got there idk I just wanted a different location.
This is a request from my F.R.I.E.N.D.S Prompt-list circa 2020-ish
George had a talent for trouble. Not the serious kind but just enough to make the teachers sigh and his classmates laugh. He was the guy who could talk his way out of detention and into the good books, who could turn a pop quiz into a game show. If there was a shortcut, he’d find it. If there was a risk, he’d take it. And if there was Y/n in the room, he’d make sure he was there to torment her.
Y/n was his opposite in just about every way. The girl had a planner for her planner. She colour-coded her notes. She studied for tests that weren’t even announced yet. She expected nothing less than perfection from herself — because anything less, to her, was failure.
And yet, somehow, George was her favorite person. And Y/n? She was his.
They’d been best friends since fifth year, when he’d “accidentally” tripped over her meticulously stacked pile of books and sent them flying down the hallway.
She, in return, sent George soaring to fetch them by use of a silent and precise casting of ‘Stupify’.
She’d marched up to his spread-out body on the hard stone floor. Shouting at him as he attempted to peel himself into an upright position. She called him a “walking disaster with a god complex,” and he’d responded with a sore but ever cocky smile, “You look good from this angle.”
Now, years later, they were still at it.
“George, have you ever actually tried at anything?” Y/n asked, flipping through her perfectly highlighted notes while he balanced his wand on his upper lip and rocked on the back legs of his library chair.
“Sure I have", he grinned, dropping himself heavily back on all four chair legs and scooting impossibly close to her side. “I try very hard to annoy you.”
“And yet, it seems to come so naturally,” she deadpanned.
He clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me, Y/n.”
“If only.” Y/n rolled her eyes.
It was always like that. The teasing, the insults wrapped in laughter. But underneath it, something unspoken wove itself delicately between them. Something soft… something real. Like a sweet perfume that lingers in the air from a passerby.
Neither acknowledged it.
George, for all his recklessness, never let Y/n push herself too far. When she stayed up studying until her eyes burned red, he’d show up with comfort foods from the kitchen elves and force her to take a break. When she got so caught up in her own expectations that she forgot how to breathe, he’d drag her outside and remind her that life wasn’t all a test.
Y/n, too, for all her self-doubt, never let George believe he was just the class clown. She saw through his jokes, past the playful smirks, into the boy who wanted to be enough but never felt like he was. When he got quiet, when he doubted himself, she was the one who reminded him, commonly with a sarcastic quip, but sometimes just by showing up. Reassuring he was worth more than just a cheap laugh.
They never talked about it. The pull between them. The way his hand would linger a second too long when he passed her an inkwell. The way she’d say his name like it meant something more to her than anyone else. The way their eyes would meet across a crowded room, and it felt like a secret only they understood.
And then, one night, nothing became something.
It was late. Too late. She was exhausted, her brain fried from studying, her nerves frayed from trying so hard. George had dragged her out to clear her head, "a public service,” he called it, “for the sake of your rapidly declining sanity.”
They ended up on the cliffside of the Castle, above the First Year entrance. Legs dangling over the edge, the Lake stretched out below them. Alive in the breeze, a mirror for the stars.
Y/n let out a breath, hands fiddling with the delicate vines of ivy beneath them. “Sometimes I wish I could be like you,” she confessed to the comfortable silence between them.
George looked at her, into her. “And sometimes I wish I could be like you.”
She scoffed. “Yeah, right. You’d die if you had to study as much as I do.”
“And you’d die if you had to wing it like I do!” He nudged her shoulder, eliciting the sweet melody of her subtle laughter. “Maybe that’s why we work.” He contemplated.
She smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “Do we?”
George’s usual smirk softened into something else. Something serious. An unfamiliar expression to the girl. “Y/n/n... why don’t you stop worrying about trying to sound smart all the time and just be yourself?” He’d meant it genuinely, though it came across as taunting.
She turned to him, her brows furrowing. “Wow, thanks! That’s a really poetic way of calling me stupid.”
He grinned. “No, I mean it. You’re good enough as you are, you know that, right?”
Y/n opened her mouth then closed it. ‘He always does this’ she thought. Always followed up something genuine within a joke, so it didn’t feel quite as heavy. Only this time she didn't fancy hearing whatever joke he had lined up next.
So she did what she always did. She deflected.
“Well, if you like me so much, why don’t you just date me?” She threw herself back to lay amongst the thick carpet of ivy. She phrased it like it was a joke, but the way her voice wavered gave her away.
George didn’t miss it. His grin turned softer, eyes warm in her glow.
“Maybe I would,” he murmured, resting his weight on his palm by her shoulder and tilting his head over her. “If you asked me properly” he crooned.
Y/n swallowed. Her heart thundering in her chest. He was too close. Or maybe not close enough.
“George…”
His grin was back, wickedly so, but there was something softer beneath his stare. A temptation he'd toyed with submitting to.
She inclined her chin, a quiet request he hadn't dare let himself dream of, laid and waiting before him. He gave in.
Their lips met in a tentative embrace. Both nervous, not knowing where this road may lead. The feeling of her so intimately against him made George melt, desperate for more he pressed down into her further. His wanting for her clear. With each pass of their lips across the others the kiss deepened, each taste more ravenous and wanton than the last. Soon they were pulled tight to each other, chest to chest, encased in one another's arms as tight as possible though somehow still not close enough.
George, reluctantly, broke the kiss. Forehead pressed to hers as they gasped for breath. Y/n whined at the loss, and he crashed into her again, not strong enough to resist her. This was years of hopeless pining in the making and it was worth it.
Minutes passed and the heat between them calmed. Gentile touches and sweet broken kisses remained. Smiles seemingly permanently etched to their faces. George pushed back from her, only slightly. Enough to see her face.
“Hey” he spoke softly. And she echoed, "Hey."
“How you doin’?” he teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
She groaned, shoving his shoulder and sitting up. “Unbelievable.”
“Youuu love it!”
And she did. She really, really did.
They sat there for a moment, both of them hovering on the edge of something more.
Y/n sighed. “You’re not going to let this go, are you?”
“Not a chance.”
She bit her lip. “Fine. George… will you go out with me?”
George grinned, leaning back on his hands. “Oh, I dunno, I’m a very busy guy. Gotta schedule to keep you know. School, Quidditch, my daily attempts to ruin your life... and it's just so sudden! We barely know each other...”
She smacked his arm. He caught her hand before she could pull it away, holding it to his chest.
“Yeah,” he said finally, quieter this time. His free hand sweeping a stray hair from her face. “Yeah, I will.”
Y/n rolled her eyes, but she was smiling.
For once, perfection wasn’t something she had to chase. With George, it had already found her.

What does SMART stand for?

S - specific. don't just set vague goals like "i wanna get fit" or "i wanna get abs". how are you gonna know when/ where to start? if you want to get fit: your goal could be "go to the gym for 30 mins everyday" or "i want to run 5k in under 30 mins". whatever works for you. some other examples: -> if your big goal is to get high marks on your next test: your "mini" goals/ steps should be to study everyday for at least 30-60mins. -> if your big goal is to get money/ become rich: your steps/ mini goals should be to save $___ daily first. and also figure out a way you can make a mini business/ get a job.
M - measurable. make sure that your goals are measurable- meaning that you should be able to track them. some examples: -> if your goal is to read more: then create or find a habit tracker or something so everyday when you read, you can mark it down for that day. ! recommended resource: James Clear's habit tracker journal- you can find it on amazon.
A - Achievable keep your goals realistic and attainable. if you know you dont have the time/ energy to read a whole book in 1 week, dont do it- otherwise you'll get easily discouraged. the goldilocks principle: don't make it too easy, where it doesn't give you a challenge, but don't make it too hard either, otherwise you'll get easily discouraged.
R - Relevant basically a WHY. why do you want/ need to accomplish this goal? have a motivation which drives you. make sure your goal is relevant to you in some sort of way. example: -> if you want to learn a language such as spanish, why do you wanna learn it? because you want to travel to Spain one day? to be able to communicate with someone? even if the purpose is as simple as "wanting to be bilingual cus it makes me feel cool and impressive" - if that motivates you, then go ahead!
T - time bound your goals need to have some sort of deadline or urgency attached to it- otherwise you could take all the time you want to start and procrastinate as much as you want. having a deadline for the goal will motivate you to take action sooner, than later.

how to use SMART goals effectively:

decide on the goal. (something that you actually need/ want to accomplish.)
break it down into smaller steps. (very small. so small that you can start working on whatever it is NOW.) you want to get high marks on your test? lets break it down. study 30 mins everyday -> walk to desk -> get material out -> identify what you need to study -> find your weaker topics & write it out -> create a planner or smth -> start studying. // need help? find videos online, go thru material again, find study tips, etc.
write them down. (helps you stay accountable. also people who write their goals down are 42% more likely to achieve them than people who don't write it down.)
create an action plan. (relates to the 2nd point. outline the necessary steps to take, identify resources, set milestones, plan for potential obstacles.)
monitor and evaluate progress. (regularly review your goals, mistakes, and progress. what could you do better to be more efficient and quicker? how can you learn from your mistakes?)
stay committed and flexible. (you really need to be committed to achieve the goals, you shouldn't just start off super excited, doing great in the first week then slacking off. you've made a commitment to YOURSELF. respect yourself enough to stick to it! but also be flexible with your goals. if you're reeeallyy not able to do it one day, plan to do a bit more the next day. stay focussed and don't get discouraged by setbacks.)
celebrate achievements. (recognise when you've hit a major milestone, and celebrate it! this helps you maintain motivation and a sense of accomplishment. and reward yourself!!)

seek support. stay organised. (self explanatory. just stay organised. messy space = messy mind. clean space = clean mind.)
maintain balance. (of course your goals are important, but so is the age you're currently at. especially if you're a teenage, DONT WASTE THESE YEARS!! get out of the house! make friends! go to parties! LIVE LIFE TO ITS FULLEST. also make sure that you get the adequate rest needed!)
write about your journey. (write about the struggles, the obstacles, how you overcame them, insights you got on this journey, etc. trust me, it'll be so interesting and helpful to read when you're older.)

Author’s Note: I guess I’m doing drabbles now? This came to me when I was in my third meeting in a row that covered the same information we got in meeting #1 lol
Summary: It’s the evening of your first date with Michael Gavey, but a phone call with your mum lasted way longer than it should have and now you’re running a little bit late. Unfortunately, you forgot your phone at your dorm, so you have no way of letting Michael know.

That was the time you had agreed to meet Michael at the pub. He was completely certain about that - he’d written it in his planner, the calendar on the wall of his dorm, and his Yahoo calendar.
He looked at his watch again.

Being a few minutes late made sense, he thought. You didn’t have a car, and public transportation can be somewhat unreliable on weekends. But now, you were nearly ten minutes late. Even with imprecise bus timings, that seemed like a lot.
It certainly seemed long enough for Michael’s mind to start spiraling.
Maybe you had forgotten. Maybe you got on the wrong bus. Maybe the bus had a mechanical failure, or was stuck in unavoidable traffic.
The longer he stood there, hands shoved into the pockets of his trousers as he stared at the pavement outside the pub, the more far-fetched his thoughts became.
Maybe a faculty member had suddenly needed your help and you couldn’t say no. Maybe your bud had been in an accident. Maybe you’d been kidnapped somehow.
Maybe…

Maybe you’d realized you didn’t actually want to go out with him.
Why would you? After his outburst in the dining hall at the beginning of the year, he was infamous within your college. Everyone knew the creepy maths nerd who’d made a fool of himself on the first day.
It made perfect sense that you wouldn’t want to be seen with him. What if the essence of his social pariah-dom would rub off on you somehow, and people started treating you the way they treated him?
You wouldn’t want that. He wouldn’t want that for you.
Ditching him would be the smart move. After all, it had apparently worked well for Oliver Quick, the cunt. Maybe if you abandoned him as well, you’d also get an invite to Felix Carton’s estate for the summer. For all he knew, it was a requirement.

It had been stupid of him to even think you’d want to go out with him.
You were popular and well-liked. You were gorgeous. You were smart. All things that should have wiped Michael off your radar entirely.
But you were also kind. You were friendly to him. You talked to him.
When he asked if you wanted to study with him, you’d said yes. When he asked to exchange phone numbers, you’d said yes. And when he asked you out on a date - this date - you’d said yes.
The memory returned, even as he tried to shove it away. When he asked Oliver if he would get him another pint, he’d said yes, too.
Then, he’d abandoned him.

Apparently, this was just what happened to Michael. He found someone he liked, thought they liked him, too, then was left behind when something better turned up.
It had happened many times before, and would probably happen many times in the future.
Michael bit hard on the inside of his cheek, hoping the pain would chase away the monumental feeling of loneliness that threatened to overtake him. He should just go back to his dorm. It was pathetic to wait out here for this long. He should -

“Michael!”
He looked up and saw you running toward him, your cheeks flushed as you pushed through the crowd. When you finally stopped in front of him, panting from exertion, you grimaced slightly. He braved himself for what you would say.
“I am so, so sorry I’m late!” You said breathlessly. “My mum called, and she could talk for hours and hours if she wanted, and I tried to tell her I had to leave, but she wouldn’t…”
You half-sighed, half-groaned, rubbing your hands over your face. “And then I left my phone in my room and I couldn’t tell you I was on my way, so…”
Michael stared at you blankly as you continued to explain. He had almost completely resigned himself to the fact that you weren’t coming. But here you were.
Not only had you actually come, but you had ran to him. You were trying so hard to make him see that it wasn’t intentional. You… you were still talking.
“It’s fine,” he said, halting your babbling. “I understand.”
Your smile of relief was quite possibly the prettiest thing he’d ever seen.
He laughed in awe, then tried to play it off. “My mum doesn’t know when to shut up, either.”
You laughed with him and grabbed his hand. “Still, I’m so sorry. You’ve been waiting here, probably bored out of your mind, and…”
“Nah,” he shrugged, “it’s all forgotten now.” Indeed, he could hardly remember the panicked train of thought he’d been on for the last half hour. “Thank you - for coming, I mean.”
You smiled again. “Of course! I’ve been looking forward to this.”
Without giving him time to respond, you pulled him into the pub, both of you now laughing. “Since I was late, I’m paying!”

why do you think Anya told Jimmy she was pregnant when she did?
she clearly knows jimmy might become violent. did she just want to rip the bandaid off, so to speak? did she think he'd be weirded out by the pregnancy and stop abusing her sexually? did she just panic?
this is one facet of the story I'm still scratching my head about. maybe there isn't a clear answer, but you have a ood grip on the characters and their motivations. what do you think?
Anya's hard to pin down but from my understanding of her so far she tells Jimmy because she's trying to regain control of her situation. She's telling Jimmy, in her own way, that he messed up. He can't hide what he did.
Anya and Curly are paralleled, so where Curly is defined by inaction Anya is defined by action. Anya is smart, determined, and a planner. She's a problem solver. When she was denied medical school she found a way to be a nurse anyway. When she met the crew of the Tulpar she started studying psychology. When she noticed her Captain was stressed she reached out. When Jimmy made his psych eval hard to do she told someone. Post crash she basically leads Jimmy around by the nose.
So when it came to her SA she took action. When Anya confronts Jimmy she's made her position as favorable as she can. The most lethal weapon on the ship is under her control and the Captain believes her. So yeah, I can see why she felt she could take back control here. She has evidence (the pregnancy) and Curly will back up her word when/if she goes to authorities so Jimmy better back up.
The thing is Anya is amazing but she's not perfect and sometimes action isn't the right thing to do either. She misjudged the level/type of danger Jimmy was. In the way that Curly failed to see the abuse for what it was while Anya did, Anya failed to see how Jimmy reacts to things while Curly did.
Curly fawns and freezes because Jimmy escalates. Jimmy's the kind of person who matches what's given to him. The type that thinks it's unfair if he doesn't have the last hit even if he hit first. When Curly brings up that Jimmy struggled Jimmy tells him the praise he gets is annoying. When Curly tries to argue back during the birthday scene Jimmy slams his hand on the table. When Swansea kills Daisuke with the axe Jimmy gets the gun.
So Anya wanted Jimmy to back down but he escalated instead. He leaves her sobbing and wanting him gone. I think if she knew this side of him pre crash she would have handled things more like she does post crash: carefully and indirect.
So Anya told Jimmy because she's a proactive problem solver that thought if she had the gun under control and Curly's support she could get Jimmy to back down not realizing he's more likely to escalate instead.

GO BACK TO SCHOOL AS HER

ACADEMICS
Try to recreate your ideal study routine before. Study any subject you want using that specific study routine that you can when school opens. This gives you enough time before school starts to make any adjustments needed.
Get a head start. If you do have access to your curriculum or syllabus, read or actively study content on those topics. If you don’t, you can usually search up your class and your state which shows what you’ll be learning.
Experiment with study methods + note-taking. For study methods, search up different ways to effectively study, and pick at least three that appeal to you. Then pick any topic you want, and use those methods to study that topic. See which one worked the best for you and which wasn’t. 
For note-taking, search for some ways to take notes, and choose at least 3 that appeal to you. Then watch a video/lecture on any topic, and use those methods to take notes on it. See which ones that worked the best for you.
Create a planner or diary. Use it to keep track of your assessments, assignments due dates, events at school or any after-school activities. This planner would be just purely for school-related things. 
I think a digital planner would work best with most students, but some traditional ones are equally as good. It’s up to you to choose how you want to plan your school life, but you need to have at least one planner. 
Find a good study website/app. There are so many academic websites/apps out there that can aid you while studying, which are just at your fingertips. 
I recommend Duolingo, Quizlet and Khan Academy. Of course, there are so many more out there so I encourage you to explore your options. Some websites are just dedicated to one subject. 
Set SMART goals. Set academic goals that are achievable and realistic. Wanting all A’s or 100’s all the time is just way too unrealistic, and the pressure of wanting to reach the standard you set for yourself is just going to stress you out. 
Wanting a certain award, or A’s in certain subjects allows you to allocate your focus properly and is within reach. While you should definitely strive for good grades, avoid getting caught up in the mind trap of trying to achieve ‘perfect’ grades. 
Create a study place and ritual. Before school starts, choose a place anywhere in which you study regularly. Avoid having more than one, because having just one allows you to settle in and focus better. 
If this place is in your house, ensure that the space around it is clean and free of anything that wouldn’t serve you while studying. Plus, you can put up some cute motivational quotes.
A study ritual is habits that you do before studying, that help you while studying. You can create your own of whatever things that help you to be more productive and focused. 
HEALTH
Establish a sleep routine early. A week before school preferably, start waking up at the time you’d have to go to school and sleeping at your desired time. This is so that when school starts, you’re not feeling groggy while getting ready because you’ve already adjusted to the time. 
Talking about sleep, ensure that you practice good sleep hygiene as quality sleep enhances brain performance and improves energy levels throughout the day. 
Plan your meals at school. For us who have canteens or cafes near our schools, we tend to just eat whatever and we forget to nourish our bodies. You still can buy from them, but the night before, try to think about what you can eat for lunch the next day instead of impulsively buying. 
Carrying small containers of fruits or vegetables to go with my canteen lunch is my favourite combination. 
Carry a water bottle. I used to always forget to stay hydrated during school, so instead of drinking from fountains, I now prefer to carry around my water bottle from class to class. 
Wear SPF.
Just having it sitting on my desk while I’m working, reminds me in my mind to drink water. Water also boosts brain performance! 
Create a stress management plan. There are going to be times when you feel stressed, but we want to avoid stress impacting our academic performance and mental health. 
Before school starts, plan what to do if you feel heavily stressed. This could be like a menu of things you can choose from or a step-by-step guide that you follow through. This plan should contain things that relax you, make you happy and distract you from stress. 
Practice good posture. Once school starts, we sit at a desk all day, and most of us forget the proper way to sit while studying/working in class. This can lead to slumping or hunching on a chair, which encourages bad posture. 
Remember throughout the day to practice good posture, if you can, put a little reminder on your device. Posture stretches before the school days also help. 
Try to incorporate exercise into your schedule. Exercise is frequently neglected when we just have so much studying to do and we’re busy with other activities, but exercise is essential to leading a healthy lifestyle. 
The good thing, is you don’t have to do it every day. Doing it 2-3x a week should be enough. Going on walks during lunch/recess, cycling to school or participating in gym are easy ways to incorporate during the school season. 
Keep your bag lightweight. Carry the absolute essentials to school, having such a heavy bag can do a number on your back and also affect your posture. If you do have one, try to keep most things in your locker instead of bringing them to and from school. 
Engage in social media mindfully. There are so many toxic studying accounts out there that encourage unrealistic expectations or offer harsh ‘motivation’ to students. 
Please don’t interact with these types of accounts, even if they provide motivation to you, it is not sustainable at all. 
SELF CARE
Choose your favourite way to take a break. Not just once a week, but always take breaks every day. If you want these breaks to be somewhat productive like reading a productivity book or exercising, then go ahead. 
However, your breaks can also be ‘unproductive’. Play some games, go online shopping or just take a nap. One break is not better than the other, I just encourage you to take any kind of breaks you want daily.  
Plan to engage in hobbies regularly. It is easy to neglect our passions and what brings us happiness when we’re focused on school. If you can, have a chunk of the day just purely for doing hobbies. It can be for 1 hour, 30 minutes or 10. 
Or, join an afterschool club that focuses on that specific passion or hobby. Not only is it time for you to engage in the things you enjoy, you meet like-minded people who also enjoy it. 
Try to plan things with friends and family. Before school, meet up with your friends or family and do things with them. Once school reopens, opportunities to hang out with your loved ones are scarce. So, do it now. 
Create a no-hard productivity day. Plan a day in which you are doing the most minimal amount of productivity that you can. While you can include a few productive things, nothing that is mentally or physically exhausting is allowed on this day. 
If you are way too much of a productive or goal-oriented person to spend one day of no hard productivity, create a catch-up day. Choose one day of the week that you focus on completing or doing anything that you didn’t do all the other days. 
Keep a journal on you. Sometimes things happen during the school year, and it does cause conflicting or upsetting emotions within us. Creating the practice of journaling before school reopens is a good way for us to process our emotions and situations. 
Carry a book you like in your bag or locker. When you finish all of your work in class, or you just want to take a break, you can read a good book. This is also a good alternative to spending your lunches and recesses when you’re not in a sociable mood. 
Create a reward system. For example, if I study for x minutes, I can do x for myself. Or I can x grade, and I’ll get x. These don’t have to be big or extravagant rewards, but something simple like one episode of your favourite show can do. 
MINDSET CHANGES
Practice a growth mindset. You are going to experience failure at least once (if not more) during your school career. You mustn’t take these experiences to heart, and instead, use them as lessons to encourage self-growth within you. 
Practice this mindset now, so that when school reopens, you won’t have a problem with extracting lessons from failures. 
Use comparison as a source of inspiration or motivation. It is easy to compare ourselves with our peers, as we are similar ages, but their skills can exceed ours. Instead of using up all of your energy to be envious of the, channel that energy into bettering yourself. Not to beat them, but to beat yourself. 
View studying as a time to develop your skills. While yes, we do study to get good grades, studying can help us to grow our other skills as well. We build our discipline, focus and critical thinking as well. 
So when you don’t get the best grade from an assessment or assignment, don’t beat yourself up and think all that studying was for nothing. You were building those skills, so next time, you can apply them when you have to study again.
Set firm boundaries with others and yourself. There are times when you just have to say, I have to study. Not just to others, but to yourself. Practice these boundaries before school when it comes to more general productivity. 
There is no rejection, just redirection. Change your mindset that rejection is nonexistent, and there is only redirection. Incorporate it in your daily life like;
‘there’s no more stock left of my favourite product, there’s probably something better out there.’ 
That being said, I’m not saying that if there is a barrier to your goal, you just move on. However, you should not be chasing things that are not meant for you and shift your focus when necessary. 
Detach when needed. Stop attaching your value or worth to things that are external and can easily be gone. This doesn’t have to apply to just grades, but also other situations. 
Try to start reading or researching about detachment before school reopens.  
Time is your most valuable resource, use it to invest wisely. Your teen years are going to be the most suitable time in your life to start investing in yourself. 
You have fewer things to worry about(aside from grades) and you have a lot of opportunities now to explore the things that you want. Please, don't spend this time doomscrolling or any other time-wasting activity.
