I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend

Acknowledging that certain traits are commonly desired by feminine or masculine genders isn't exorsexist & intersexist...but treating them as always feminine or masculine is.

If a perisex trans woman desires estrogenizing HRT because they desire breasts & widened hips, which are commonly associated with femininity, that isn't exorsexist & intersexist. However, it is exorsexist & intersexist to say that estrogenizing HRT, breasts, and widened hips are inherently feminine.

If a perisex trans man desires androgenizing HRT because they desire a beard and bottom growth + metoidioplasty, which are commonly associated with masculinity, that isn't exorsexist & intersexist. However, it is exorsexist & intersexist to say that androgenizing HRT, a beard, and a penis are inherently masculine.

Feminine-associated traits aren't inherently feminine. Masculine-associated traits aren't inherently masculine. It just depends on who has them.

Keep non-binary and intersex people in mind. Remember not to gender HRT, top surgery, or bottom surgery.

Remember that not all transfems and intersex fems want to look or function like perisex cis women. Remember that not all transmascs and intersex mascs want to look or function like perisex cis men.

Remember that transandrogynous, transneutral, transnull, transgenderless, transxenine, transoutherine, transaporine, multigender, and mixed gender people exist.

Pretending to be intersex does not make you safe!

Stop lying and saying you have a "hormone disorder" or "chromosome disorder" to doctors in order to receive HRT! That is intersexist language, and all you are doing is throwing intersex people under the bus!

INTERSEX PEOPLE ARE NOT MEAT SHIELDS. You are perpetuating and opening yourself up to medical abuse.

By claiming that you have hypogonadism, hypergonadism, Klinefelter syndrome, or whatever other intersex variation you're deciding to appropriate, you are

1- Perpetuating the idea that intersexuality is a defect that needs repairing.

2- Skewing the statistics of intersex studies.

3- Opening yourself up to be medically and legally abused.

Do you really think that having that on your record will make you safer? The governments hate intersex people just as much as they hate trans people. They mutilate intersex people, force them onto hormones, allow and promote selective abortion, and don't include them under protective laws whatsoever. "Anti-trans" laws are actually anti-trans and anti-intersex laws, and intersex people have "exceptions" in laws PURELY TO ALLOW MEDICAL TORTURE.

By putting that on your record, you are opening yourself up to being a human experiment and a target of intersexism, which is no better than being a target of transphobia. STOP SPREADING THE IDEA THAT THIS IS OKAY TO DO.

Please read and reblog the most recently updated version of our intersex guide. Boost it, spread awareness for pride month.

And please read and spread our post about intersexism. You have likely spread intersexism at some point without knowing it (ie; small dick jokes), and it's okay to acknowledge that and grow.
