Dialogue!!!11:

The main thing I did over the past week or so was put together this dialogue system. The system itself was fairly easily to implement, and I think the only interesting part of the process to share is how I went about making the UI. As per usual, I wanted to have a cool mechanical feeling ui, but at the same time a friend of mine suggested an AOL instant messenger inspired chat window. I loved both of these ideas so I decided to combine them into a screen that pops up and contains the aim-like window. The modeling process for the screen was similar to how I went about making the other two bits of ui that are on screen in the above photos, but I decided to include a VGA port.

VGA PORT:

I didn't originally plan to include a VGA port, but I was in the middle of researching monitors and accidentally left a window open on my computer that just had a big photo of one and I went "wait a minute.". With my final two braincells I suddenly decided to slap together a model for the port which I ended up being proud enough of to, for some reason, make an entire section for it.

Sorry if any of the above sentences read horribly. I am going to need a third braincell if you want this stuff to be coherent. Anyway, Blender is so cool. Using the array modifier to make all these lil squares for the holes in the port is just such a satisfying process. I've come to really like makin pre-rendered assets like this.

New Movez:

This is actually a pretty big inclusion, and I probably should've ranked it in my mind above the VGA port. I added some new movement options to the game!

Firstly, I added this melee move where you swing the back of the sniper forwards to propel yourself a bit. It is mainly useful as a bunnyhop that allows you to conserve momentum.

Next up I added this kick that happens if you melee while in the air. It's basically just the one from mario64. It lets you gain a little bit more height and distance. It also becomes way more effective if you have a lot of momentum. A good tool for correcting jumps and reaching new heights.

Finally, we have the big schmovement slide. This slide gives you a huge burst of speed that you can jump out of in order to send your self flyin. Surprisingly, it didn't really break any of the level design and ended up being a really fun addition imo. In order to perform it, you have to do a ground pound and then melee as you hit the ground. Also, I feel like I basically stole this from pseudoregalia. Played through that recently and it has been a good source of inspiration.

Nova!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

This is a cameo skin I've been really excited to finally make myself put in the game. Anodyne 2 is a really important game to me, and I love it much. I'm really happy tha folks at analgesic let me put her in here, and I'm p happy with how her model came together. If you haven't peeped the Anodyne games I highly recommend them. The first one was a major inspiration for parts of Fatum Betula.

Conclusion:

Lately I've been playing this game way too much. It has made it impossible for me to tell if it is fun or well designed. Some problems cropped up during playtesting that ima need to address, and I hope that it all comes together into something that one could say is "fun and cool". I think takin this weekend off is gonna do my brain good. Oh yeah also I feel like I should advertise that I'm still doing commissions if anyone is interested. Anyway, have a good 1 and enjoy urself.

Coming out to the family thoughts.

All the Katseye families go on vacation to Manila and they stay on the Laforteza’s mansion. The girls think that this is their opportunity to announce their relationships. But until then they have to hide it and act “normal”.

So dinner arrives and everybody is comfortable chatting with each other. Then Sophia says unconciously “Mahal, can you pass me the salt” and at the same time Yoonchae says “Neakkeo can you give me the salad, please”, cause Sunchip share one braincell. Megara of course reach out because of their muscle memory but they stop midway when they realized what just hapend. Everybody went silence and Daniela says “Aww guys, your are so cute. I hope i have a relationship like yours in the future”.

Their parents are shocked like WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU GUYS ARE DATING? SINCE WHEN?. The kat’s family is so confused ‘cause 1.They didn't know that Sunchip were into girls and 2.They never expected that combination. Like, they wouldn’t have been surprised if the ones dating were Marz or even Maphinz, this comment make Meichae throw a death stare at poor Manon. So the girls explain how they got together (saving some details). And their parents are still confused because 1. How two people so opposite like Meifiz actually work together in a healthy relationship and 2. What do you mean that Yoonara are not girlfriends but they are not friends either.

At the end of the day they support them cause they see how happy they are together and even start to joke about how happy it makes them to be now in-laws. Like any besties group dream is their children getting together 😂. And even Megan's and Sophia's brothers ask Meichae for advice on how to pull a baddie. And Danon are on one side receiving money from the Kat's older sisters ‘cuz they made a bet with them about how long it would take for their parents to discover the relationships.

And again, we see Phum coming here for no reason but to drop Peem off.

Also, he usually just stayed in the car previously, but now he's walking with Peem all the way.

I reckon we'll be seeing much more of Phum appearing in front of the Fine Arts building for nothing but to drop off or talk to his boyfriend Peem, in a slight reflection of all the times he came here to take Peem off somewhere to make him do something for him.

And I can't wait for it. <3

This painting studio is Peem's safe space, and he's allowing Phum in there willingly.

This scene is a goddamn masterpiece. It rendered me speechless. What am I supposed to say to that?

Peem's soft little "You did a great job, getting through those times." has me in a chokehold. The nose boop, the kiss- I'm screaming crying rolling around on the bed.

I gasped at this scene, because you realize what this means right?

This painting, that was ruined due to Phum, that he had to painstakingly repaint while having to obey Phum's whims, this painting that represents his comfort (I don't know shit about art interpretation, but in grade 12 I had friends who'd taken art and I learnt a couple things from them), that represents himself, and in this painting, he adds bright red roses, for the ones that Phum gave him when he was driving him back because he was absolutely wasted, the roses he didn't have the heart to throw out.

And he's drawing these red roses to represent Phum, to show that inexplicably, but undeniably, Phum is a part of his life now; a part he likes enough to embed in one of his most prized paintings (as assumed from various context clues and such along the series). And when he does, he thinks of how Professor Po said "Every work you create contains a piece of you".

If this doesn't show that despite his caustic and sarcastic exterior, Peem is a sappy mushy romantic at heart (he is a Fine Arts student after all), I don't know what does.

This moment felt so poetic (I literally could write a poem about it and it still wouldn't be able to capture the raw beauty and vulnerability and love of this scene.)

I really like this scene.

Apart from not leaving Kluen hanging, and making sure he knows, this moment is also about Peem admitting to himself aloud, that yes, he does like Phum. He's slowly getting out of De Nile.

He didn't have to say this, but he did. To gently reject Kluen and tell himself that there was no going back now.

He's the one saying "okay, if you can't, I will." And I love him for it. He does it while staring right at Peem too.

Normal and Sane KHR Merch Haul (it's mostly Hibari btw)

It's been a while since I posted and gushed about the merch I've been getting, and I received a lot since then (esp with the recent Ju/mp Fe/sta) so I'll just combine them all in one post! (this is a long post bc of my yapping, ignore the texts if u just wanna see the pics dkdhdkdb)

The first one here is Hibari's Pri/maniacs perfume! (displayed with the Hibari nitotan nui for size comparison 🤣)

Credits and a very loud eardrum shattering shout-out to @amiahoshi for translating the product description for it and for always saving my life from shit MTLs 😭💜✨🫂 That TL gave me doki dokis hahahahaha helphdhdvfhvdf I'm way too deep into this, I'm beyond cooked 🤣 (I'll just make a separate post for the TL!)

Though honestly, it's kind of a dumbass decision on my side to buy perfume in the first place because I get nauseous from most of them. Not to mention, since this is a flammable item, it's extra costly to buy them from JP.

But surprisingly, when I tried smelling it, it's kinda okay? (or maybe I'm just coping since he's my oshi) So in the end, maybe it's not that much of a dumbass idea to buy this after all.

I won't be using it regularly because every drop of this is gold 🗿💸 and I don't go out often anyway. But maybe when I attend certain occasions I will. I'm almost tempted to buy a second one (one for display, one for use???...das crazy...shut up Ein, have mercy on your wallet)

Next one is Ill/egal Factory Studio's TYL Hibari figure! This one's an unofficial merch btw, but it looks so good that it's definitely worth it! 😭🙏✨

It's quite huge, the product page says the height is around 37cm (at least taller than a regular ruler?). It even came with this really nice-looking photocard and the box looks so good too (which I'm keeping under the desk because I didn't wanna throw it away).

Now, I'm praying for GSC to release an official figure for TYL Hibari. Right now, we do have his Nendo 2.0 coming up, so I'll just be waiting for updates on that one.

Speaking of GSC, I also got his Nendo (1.0) some time last year! The poses are so cute, I'm glad Hibird is with him in this! 🐥💜 (for the GSC Pop-up Parade figure it's here)

This reminded me, I should buy a BJD body for this so I can buy custom clothes for him 😈😈😈 That also means custom nendo for a certain other blorbo hehe 🍎 That'll be another project for a different day and post.

In terms of figures, I'm still on the look-out for the G.E.M. figure (where he's wearing a suit in a dynamic pose ft Hibird) and Ill/egal Factory Studio's Varia Arc Hibari (ft him obliterating Gola Mosca *chef kiss*). Just need the right timing (+ right listing), since I'm doing 5D chess budgeting over here and losing lots of braincells 😭😭😭 PRICE GOUGERS/SCALPERS WHEN I CATCH YOU!!! 🤬🤬🤬 WHEN I CATCH YOU!!! This stupid mf says as she buys their shit anyway. Sorry, I'm part of the problem. I buy the less price gouged one at least???

This Nendo also came with a bunch of free Shikishi boards from the Hikokuji set! 1 x Tsuna, 1 x Hibari, 1 x Dino, 2 x Mukuro, 2 x Xanxus, 2 x Squalo and 2 x Bel. I gave the dupes to my brother (the ones with dupes happened to be his faves lol), so here are the ones left with me (the extra Hibari one is already in my shrine).

When I rearrange my Hibari shrine, I'm thinking of also setting up a general KHR(e) shrine so I can display them there.

Anyway, here's the whole package I got for that batch of shipment!

This includes merch from the Am/ano Aki/ra Exhibit plus Vol 2 of the KHR x San/rio Collab merch. I really love the Sanrio merch they're releasing (it's just so cute! 😭💖 H.K. & H.K. duo, you will always be famous to me) so I make sure to at least get the acrylic stands from Vol 1 and Vol 2. But I spectacularly failed for Vol 3 (it's a lottery, I was so depressed that time I forgor to buy pulls...), so I'm at the mercy of the JP marketplaces again for this and the prices are making me fall to my knees.

For the Am/ano Aki/ra Exhibit merch, I was actually a bit hesitant to buy this tbh because I was planning to personally attend at their last location in Nagoya, so I might as well just buy it there? But plans fell through so I went ahead and bought them. At that time, I thought Nagoya is the last one but apparently there are plans to continue? So if there's another one later this year, then I'll make plans again to finally attend. I just need someone to go with me! Even if I already went to JP before, I feel like I need to go a few more times with someone to get used to international travel 😭 (also I'm slightly a workaholic perhaps, I feel guilty when I take time off work)

Here's the tapestry at the upper-left corner by the way! (plus some other ones I have) It's in-between the two blankets I got from that one auction that got me sweating a lot and almost gave me high blood pressure.

It's so worth it, I wake up to this every day 🤣🫶✨ I adjusted the display from the left pic since then, to make space for the new one in the right pic. (My room has zero windows, so I had the curtain rod installed there just for this purpose ssjdhvfjhsvf the things I do for my oshi...tho I think it's easy to tell how small my room is from this wall, I'm struggling to cram all of these in there fr fr)

Next up is my copy of the KHR's English Dub by Diskotek! I honestly haven't watched it yet because I keep forgetting to buy the Blu-ray External Disk Drive 💀💀💀 I should really order one soon, I'm very curious about how they performed.

Then, after that is my haul from Anpanic's listings! I happen to come across it within like 10 minutes of them posting it, and I never zoomed in on someone's Sho/pee link so fast hahahahaha Anyway, I was fast and managed to grab most of the Hibari-related ones.

And I'm so happy they even included me some freebie Knights (En/stars) merch!!! 🥹💖✨ They probably noticed that my pfp in Sho\\pee is Leo hehe 🥰🥰🥰

I also got merch through The Vongola Hideout too! My favorite from this is the handkerchief showing Hibari feeding Hibird some takoyaki! 🥹💜✨ I've been looking for it for a while now and the ones I've seen before are so overpriced. My other fave is the fish Reborn I caught for Butter ahahaha it looks so funny, I love it so much 🤣🥰🤣🥰 I didn't know this merch existed helpsdjfshjf

Finally the last ones is the recent batch I got from FJ, which includes the merch sets from the recent Jum/p Fest/a! They were actually two boxes, but one got stuck in Customs due to the holidays, so I have two packages arrive at the same time in the post office lmao

Here are the misc ones I got too! The Ryohei and Reborn ones are what I got because they're in a set with the Hibari chibi gashapon (will be gifting them to my friends too). Then the Fran photocard is an Ani/mate freebie, and I gave him to my brother.

Anyway, that's all for now! 🪱 Simple sketch! Using the animate help function to allow me to see the layers all on one frame in different colors without needing to change my color of my pen. I sketched and laid each character in the spot that I felt fit! I’m not crazy good at hands or feet so most my braincells were trying to make those convincing.

🎨Color blocking characters! Using 3 layers I spaced out the color blocking so that if needed I could select one character on the layer instead of affecting others. All without needing a layer for each character. I blocked off the layers via 1 color group before going in and placing colors character by character.

☎️shading! Kept fairly simple as halftones and noise would add additional looks so I didn’t want to overwhelm the piece at all.

🫎 comic/ old anime look! Using halftones, noise, and bloom- I went through each layer and made them the level I wanted before combining all layers together! The lineart halftone was set differently though! Instead of full color it was on the print setting. Making the lineart slightly see through to match the color underneath. Making it mesh better I think!

TC lore okay basics . world works like if minecraft and real life were combined . game things yknow . think mcsm .

World is split up into three sections, the main lands (occupied by players), the oceans (occupied by various aquatic races), and the farlands (occupied by elves), as seen here,

Elves are quite uncommon in the main lands ! Most fled to the farlands when notch ascended to godhood or whatnot

TC's story mainly takes place in the main lands !

TC is a sort of special group sent on various missions to keep the main lands safe. Sometimes they are in battles and sometimes theyre just off to go meet some king or smth

For a majority of the story, several aquatic nations are at war with many land kingdoms. The war started right after a major virus outbreak (zombie infection if you will, taken from Endstone and the older Truemu stories)

Okay time for the actual team in . Almost oldest to youngest order (Except for ssun and husky)

Ssun is the 'leader' of tc, being the second eldest and the one with the most combat knowledge. He's pretty against anyone else going on combat missions, this guy is a boydad . Unfortunately his eyes are sensitive to light, so hes rockin shades all the time to help

Husky is the healer, being the eldest he prefers to be out of direct combat. They're the glue that keeps the team from falling apart, being the one that has the braincell .

Mitch is the best up front fighter for the team! He's literally coded to be a fighter, and good lord does he get even better once he gets his fancy sword (as seen in the Warzone music video). He is the one token straight, and is very brutal with his words

Jerome is the second best fighter ! He is a heavy hitter, switching between an axe and a mace for fights ! hes the family dog and weighted blanket /j

Sky is the second team 'leader', despite his lack of braincells, hes pretty good at quick thinking! They keep the morale up and often is the "face man" ! this guy just fucking rocks shades for no reason . adhd central pt 1 over here

Ty is. well . hes there. Hes there to look good and to chew gum and hes all out of gum /j (Ty and sky are a package deal)

Jason ! He's the mechanic (and the dj)! Fuckin guy made his own spacesuit and weapons ! Everyone else out here using swords and bows this guy is using literal guns ! His suit doubles as mobility aids (Specifically his lower half, his boots / leg pads have support and compression sleeves built in :]) adhd central pt 2

Seto ! this guy is the youngest of the team, often put outside of combat both because hes not built for it and Ssun will not let a kid fight. He uses his magic to help defend and distract the enemy! this fuckin guy is autistic as hell, but thats okay his spinterest in magic and elven history helps alot

okay time for out of context fun facts that i may expand on more later someone remind me to do that

there are two types of players, born and spawned (Age is based on body age, not how long one has been conscious), all mobs and elves are born, but not all players are spawned (or human)

MAWS Thoughts on S2E5

Spoilers Including Pictures Ahead!

TLDR - I wasn't a fan of the way things went. I think there are better ways to execute what happened in the ep.

Relationship Conflicts: Lois and Jimmy

1. I think it's corny to have Clois' "break up" be because of a bachelor's show. Yes, Lois is always questioning her worth and has terrible abandonment issues, but I feel like it could have been approached in a more realistic way.

2. In combination to that, Jimmy shouldn't have to hide from Clark because of the convention when Clark was there seeing how much Jimmy was trying to defend him. Jimmy didn't know they were going to bring out Lex and discus Superman being an problem. He was put on the spot and Clark knows that. Why can't he use the brains he has to hunt down cryptids and make the simple conclusion that Clark wouldn't be upset with him and would even find comfort that his friend was put on the spot and still did his best to defend Superman.

Side note. There are 24 hours in the day, Lois and Clark have phones and know where each other lives yet we are to believe they have found ABSOLUTEYLY NO time to talk to each other???

I make these two main points to propose a different sequence of events that still impacts significant relationships after the attack in S2E4:

After the attack, Jimmy suggests that Superman lays low for a while since so many influential people seem to have been convinced of Superman being an issue. Of course Clark would disagree because he can literally hear and see how bad things can get without him helping out and he needs to be identifiable to his cousin when she shows up. After hearing the assignment being given to Cat, Clark finds out that he is wanted at the Bachelor event and would be happy to attend because it's for charity. The issue is he doesn't tell anyone about it because Jimmy and Lois agreed he should lay low. Lois confides in Jimmy about her job offer in Gotham and he offers to go with her to check out the city because he also is following a story about some mysterious things going on there (this could be a way to hint at some batman related stuff). Jimmy and Lois run into Kara and because they have more than one braincell, they figure out she's Clark's cousin and try to bring her to him. Lois find out from Kara's rambling that Clark set off the beaker without telling her and she's upset with him while trying to understand more about Kara. In looking for Clark they find Superman on the dating show but missed the part where Superman explained he was seeing someone. Lois is even more upset since Clark didn't tell her about it (this would be a genuine asshat move on his part, a real flaw instead of some childish thing) and by how well Superman and Silver are getting along and even how she defends him. All of these things compound into her spiraling and Kara has a bad impression of Clark after seeing how hurt Lois is by him and his actions (the concept of being a bad s/o has to exist on Krypton if they are similar to earth enough to have marriages). Kara flips out on Clark and Lois and Jimmy can't convince her to stop. Clark finds out that Kara is mad and him for hurting Lois' feelings and they fight. Kara takes Superman. END OF EP.

Criticisms of Kara + her being set up with Jimmy.

She looks out of place. I get her design is directly inspired by Android 18 from Dragon Ball but her hairstyle specifically is too anime for the more Western based show and MAKES HER LOOK 14 YRS OLD which leads me to my other point.

2. It's weird that she looks 14 and is being set up with Jimmy who's 23 (wiki says he was born in 01'). It's giving the older caretaker of a uneducated child orphan vibes when he was taking her around the city showing her things instead of a first date vibe the show was going for.

3. How is Jimmy in love with her??? Because she's pretty???? He knows nothing about her and why isn't he freaked out by the fact that it obviously seems like she's never experienced extremely common things like hot dogs and ice-cream. His entire deal is sniffing out weird alien and supernatural stuff so how was the way she behaved not a red flag to him??? Also I feel like her being so naive of Earth's culture plays into her being inappropriately young.

Happy one month anniversary to our server! Since many people outside of the server are interested in what’s happening within, I thought I’d take a moment to write out a little synopsis since I see everything (for the most part). This will probably be pretty lengthy so I’ll put it under a read more! I’ll also be combining what’s happened in today’s session as well as some background info on what’s been going on before too. I’m not going to go into a huge amount of detail since this is a loose wrap-up of our sessions so far but going forward I’d like to make smaller ones of these per-session or by the week. We’ll see :)

Starting with the main base #BlessThisMess. Equipped with enchanting table, brewing stand, melon farm, chicken hole, a Very Legit Basement, and most importantly Braincell the cat. Our most recent additions from today’s session is that Jack O’ Lantern in front and a rainbow sheep.

Not too far of a walk away is @lampozzz​ piece of the world where we get to enjoy shole (sheep hole) and wheat fields that make beautiful shots :) Also slay written in wool because these barbies slay.

Another stroll and we have @bizarepistachio​‘s base. Up close and personal with the villagers and a beautiful view to match it all! Biz has been spending a lot of time resource gathering and dodging agro mobs.

@arintheman​ in recent sessions has been working on a Mob Harm Farm(TM)(do not steal) and actually died from it before regaining his life. Also, nearly did it again 3 minutes later.

I believe that @transandor​ is my muse because he is always in the most aesthetically pleasing places possible. I’ve gone on many adventures many blocks long with him including in the deep dark where some of my favorite screenshots have come from!

@monarchisms​ is a simple farmer. After an untimely drop creeper death (that was replenished!) they decided to switch to a simpler task, caring for chickens*. We also celebrated their birthday in one of the sessions!

*at the time of writing this many chickens have lost their lives, see below

@monarchisms​ 3 lives, Death 1 skeleton, Death 2 group of zombies, Death 3 drop creeper. Gained one life back through a birthday miracle (actually serious fr)

@bizarepistachio​ 4 lives, Death 1 exploded further into a cave then was attacked by several mobs unsure what the killing blow was, Death 2 got gotted by an enderman while iron gathering. Gained life back from It Spreads.

@transandor​ 5 lives, Death 1 to an enderman in the nether, gained life back with Return to Sender, Death 2, drowned with a trident (RIP), gained life back with It Spreads.

Part of the popularity of F/F cartoon ships, I'm sure, is that all of the characters are flat enough to shove into basic fanfic tropes. You can put your ship into any 'Imagine Your OTP' scenario or funny meme because there's not much there beyond Grumpy One dating the Sunny One. In terms of other relationships they're allowed to have, you can give your Mean Lesbian the mandatory Himbo Bestie (who will be 1/2 of the significantly more popular M/M ship) or a younger friend who Grumpy & Sunny will be assigned as the 'Moms' of. Here's a fanart of Sunny kissing Grumpy on the cheek while Grumpy blushes Tsundere-ly. Lather, rinse, repeat.

real and ig it's like because these types of fans are basically everywhere popular enough and this combined with the fact that less people write f/f means they probably are the ones who jump on anything so here we are. but as always why the general lack of interest in f/f and why particularly the lack of interest from the people who can write complex stories out of fucking idk macdennis or something. i mean yeah yeah the general hatred for women and such. but abbi and ilana broad city are bigger than macdennis in the kingdom of heaven. ALSO who the fuck do you have to be to see two women who are together / you think should be together and on the same breath as you go on and on about how they are great rep you also invest time into making them fit the roles of motherly figures and helpers "the one with the braincell" types. like who cares if they're lesbianing together if they have to do it in traditional female roles with no inner life of their own why dont you just write about them cooking and cleaning all day while you're at it. it's bad out here. and vote choni
