[ Change of Fate AU ]

Here's my take on a sort of roleswap au! I'll be doing refs as i go :)

The story starts off in Crispia as our bravegang learn about another continent (Beast-Yeast, name pending) and travel there to seek help from these powerful cookies– unknowingly helping them resolve their own issues in the process. In other words: found family!

"Oh! Sure. I have one of the smaller specimens mostly put back together..." She closes her notebook and sets it aside as she jogs over to the back of her lab motioning for him to follow as she goes to type in the passcode into the security door. "It's weird though...I've seen a LOT of strange specimens but these...their damage is extreme. I've seen similar injuries across all of the subjects that contain that particular color...."

She waits for the door to open before entering her archives, its akin to a large warehouse only the shelves are large cabinets containing various labeled specimens. The identifying labels on each are all various numbers and short hand for locations where each one was found. Charmette moves to the back before opening one of the containers, the door easily sliding out of the way before she pulls out what looks like the remains of something akin to a four eyed bat or sting ray. However...its clear she's had to go through very careful reconstruction...every single one of the bones have been smashed and put back together, even the skull was shattered.

"These date back over five thousand years. Every single specimen I've found has damage like this." Charmette tells him as she looks up at the hedgehog. "I've seen damage like it before but...only in vary sparse cases for the native species. With these....every single one I have found carries such grave injuries and wear to whatever instruments of combat they have. The larger ones with claws have worn them down to the nub...."

The smile doesn't remain for long, shifting back to a neutral look as he gives Charmette his full attention, listening intently... before mention of "greenish-red fossils" has him furrowing his brow. Shadow can only think of one green-red species that isn't native to Gaia (to Mobius?), but at the same time, he forces himself to remember that this isn't his world.

For all he knows, the Black Arms were never here, or just haven't been here yet. Otherwise, wouldn't his counterpart, Ebony, be able to identify the fossils first?

(He has no idea.)

"...I might know what those greenish-red fossils used to be. May I see one of them?" He's not going to take them away from her, or condemn her for looking them over in the first place; just identify them. But that might not be completely clear...

Ok just to compile everything we confirmed know about q!Bad grim reaper lore

He is 1000 years old

He is 9 and a half feet tall (choosing not to see this one)

His “arrival” corresponds to a major historical event

q!Bad has memories from c!Bad, mainly of his old friendship with Foolish and of having power and it going horribly wrong (eggpire) but they are not the same character. q!Bad either experienced, or is some kind of “manifestation” of this other self, whatever that means. Idk I’m reading it like a past or alternate life

As a grim reaper, his job is to guide souls to the afterlife. But he doesn’t want people to die- in fact, he tries his hardest to keep them alive by any means necessary

However, if someone is already gone, he doesn’t like to meddle further. Messing with the balance of life and death goes against his code. He was confused why the Federation has done that

He fought in wars alongside q!Cellbit before coming to the island

He canonically sent off the spirits of the dead eggs

[Cowboy Niccolo AU]

I think I might have sent an ask like this a while back, but do you think Gryffin would make friends and find love in Lonesome Flats? Do you think Niccolo would gain a half-Country sibling or two?

Gryffin is fine being a single dad, his main focus is his son, I can imagine him and Delta having a short "romance". Delta was very present in Niccolos life, helping him to feel welcome in Lonesome Flats. The folks there are pretty kind to Niccolo because he's just a child, but Gryffin is another story. I think I've said in the past there are still quite a few people who are wary of him being this tall lanky rock troll. It's not until post world tour that he gets more friendly with the others in town, again he's not really bothered by it since he has Niccolo, Delta, and Growly Pete to chill with, plus he's on friendly terms with his employers so it's chill!

And ye, that means no half country siblings as of right now!
