ALMOST MISSED YOU | JJK

how you made your way back to him
wc: 1.2k
drabble series masterlist
School was never one of Jungkook’s top priorities, especially now that his main focus was debuting as a solo artist under Wonijin Entertainment. A company that decided to take a chance on young 13 year old Jungkook. They saw the potential the day he walked into their audition room ready to sing his heart out for the world
At most, Jungkook would attend school no more than three days a week, with his parents allowing it only because he promised if he failed he would put school first and even apply to universities.
At this point, if you asked Jungkook what his math teacher’s name was, he’d take a wild guess and probably get it right 2/10 times. Besides his friends, Jungkook only ever noticed one other person in school. You.
You sat in the corner with your friends, minding your business. You weren’t loud like the popular girls but you weren’t so quiet to be an “invisible” person either.
You were beautiful in ways Jungkook didn’t even think could be possible outside of movies. He wishes he could say he befriended you and asked you out but, with him barely being at school, he didn’t feel like he had enough time.
A boyfriend that is too busy cooped up in an entertainment company building isn’t what you deserved.
And when Jungkook finally debuted at the young age of 15, one of the youngest at the time, he was left to wonder what happened to you. He left school and was privately educated by the company’s private educator. He graduated on a random Wednesday afternoon.
You never left his mind though. He’d randomly be practicing one day and think about the girl he was attracted to when he was 13. Or he’d be at a fan signing event and hope that you became a fan of his and were in the audience.
But news of you was a lost cause until that one Monday night. That glorious night you found your way back to his life.
One of his good model friends had reposted your post. It was a group photo. He knew Taehyung but he didn’t recognize the other five people. Except for you in the very center of the picture. Your smile outshining the others as you held a glass of champagne.
Your caption.
Happy Birthday to me! Thank you my loves for the surprise birthday dinner <3
Within seconds Jungkook finds himself scrolling through your account and finds you have become a well known content creator. Mostly vlogs where you show what you do on the average day.
Jungkook watches a handful of your videos that night, feeling like he’s a teenager all over again with the way he felt butterflies in his stomach every time you smiled or laughed.
He thought about following you that night but decided against it when he remembered who he was and the impact it could bring to you if his fans found out he followed you. There was nothing that could get past them. So instead, he texted Taehyung.
Jungkook 10:18PM
You know Y/N?
Taehyung 10:20 PM
Why do you ask?
You know her?
Jungkook 10:20 PM
went to school with her
always wondered what happened with her lol
Taehyung 10:21 PM
Jeon Jungkook wondering about a girl??
The same one that gave that model girl a fake number when he got asked out??
Jungkook 10:21 PM
that was different
i’m not giving my number to a stranger
Taehyung 10:22 PM
*a model
Jungkook 10:22 PM
whatever
Taehyung 10:22 PM
Well if you must know yes I’m friends with Y/N
Jungkook 10:23 PM
is she dating anyone
Taehyung 10:23 PM
lmaoooo smooth
ask her
xxx-xxx-xxxx
As Jungkook stared at the screen in panic, wondering if he should actually text you or not, Taehyung was already next to you excited to tell you about the conversation he just had.
“Do you know Jungkook?”
Everyone around the table was too occupied in their own conversations to notice your eyes widen at the question your dear friend had asked you.
“Jungkook? Oh my god I haven’t heard of him in years,” you chuckle remembering the boy who would show up to school every once in a while and copy off his friend because he was always behind on material.
You knew he was training to become an idol but were never too invested in it the way everyone else in the class was. You always thought he was cute and funny but if he was going to be an idol, there was no use in confessing to him the way you felt.
The stolen glances during class were just that.
“Gave him your number,” Tae says like it’s nothing, taking a sip of his own drink.
“What? Why?”
“Because he asked about you, that’s why,”
He asked about you?
“He asked about me? Why?”
“I don’t know he said something about how he recognized the pretty girl in the picture I reposted,” you roll your eyes not taking him seriously because you know your friend too well at this point.
“Ha ha you’re so funny,” he smiles and replies.
“I’m joking but he did say he knew you so I gave him your number. Maybe you guys could reconnect and maybe you can finally move on from Jongwoo,” Tae says mentioning your current crush that you know is going nowhere since you know he only sees you as a friend.
You stare at Jongwoo across the table talking with someone else and you sigh while looking back at Taehyung.
Ding.
“Couldn’t even wait a full day,” Taehyung chuckles and you read the notification on your phone.
xxx-xxx-xxxx 10:37 PM
Hey it’s Jungkook. Got your number from Tae
Hope you don’t mind
and that you remember me haha
“He texts like a loser,” Taehyung jokes and you gently shove him with a smile.
You don’t text him back in the moment, but hours later when your comfortable in bed you finally have the courage to reply.
You 12:11 PM
Omg hi !!
Sorry for the late reply I was out
Jungkook 12:11PM
don’t apologize i get it lol
happy belated birthday btw
i’m not a creep i just saw Tae’s story
You smile at his text and continue the conversation. One that didn’t end until 3 in the morning with the promise to get coffee in person soon and catch up properly.
You go to bed with a smile not knowing that Jungkook is doing the exact same thing.
He recalls the way he felt the following Monday after he officially left school and how he wouldn’t be able to see his friends now that he had a much stricter schedule, but more importantly he couldn’t see you anymore. Couldn’t look at the back of the class saying he’s just looking outside when really he’s watching you take notes with your glittery pens he knew you liked.
He let you slip out of his life once, and he swears he’s not going to let it happen again.

I see so much of Seeker culture barely anything for others so here's a mixed bag of headcanons for cybertronian cultures
Bots naturally born in Crystal city or praxus to have either an iridescent or pearlescent finish to their paint. Either through parents code or from hot spots. It helps them blend with the crystal flora of their city. It's hard, nearly impossible to cover it. Prowl looks like a cop lost a bet with his 5yr old daughter so his alt is SHIMERRYYYY
Wing speak for grounders is VASTLY diferent than fliers. It's more jerky and harsh. slamming against their backs, rolling the windows up and down or the sound of the handle or lock. Imagine the acoustic diference of singing german to Spanish.
Door wings have very little sensors in contrast to seekers. Grabbing them has less cultural meaning to them. It's even a popular way to have your kid hold on.
Shuttles don't have wing speak, sadly it was lost to time. But they are masters of bio light and em field reading. It's helpful for a frame type that spends so much time so far from eachother to be able to communicate at a distance.
Shuttle sparklings almost never use their magnets. Shuttle flights are usually too harsh as they leave the atmosphere so they usually stay inside their creators compartment
Many people see praxus and vos as sister cities despite the wide diferences. It's recorded that door wings and seeker wings developed around the same time and place and the seekers floating city simply drifted away, but many things remain.
Bots are infact born medics naturally but this just means they have extra sensors in their optics and hands and extra repair databanks. Any bit can become a medic through frame alteration and study. the council discourages this.
Medics are stereotyped as caregivers but not partners. Social norm paints them as those who help at the hot spots but don't get to raise a family of their own. They are thought to be married to their job by primus's will
'miner' frames are actually just a sub type of grounder war frame, made to survive the many tunnels and caves of cybertron. They developed thicker plates and underground sensors, they usually have poor optic sight. It was simply convenient to reliable them as workers once there wasn't a nerd for more soldiers.
There are very few aquatic bots in cybertron as the planet has very little in terms of "sea" it has a few, deep cold patches of coolant that keep primus frame cold. Most aquatic alts are feral or cold constructed
The rust sea is a vast dessert of uncharted territory. The bots here are nearly 80% feral, there's rumors that some harsher sub categories of the standards live deep in the sands due to wild hot spots adapting.
Transport frames are trucks, trains, busses, cargo ships and planes. The diference is their size class.
When optimus was Orion he was a light weight class transport frame, he became a heavy weight as optimus. had to learn the etiquette for honking his now louder horn and to control his smoke output
Two wheelers are often looked down apoun as weak and as a snobby alt.
Speedster frames like blurr and Mirage and knockout originate from velocitron. The city has very harsh beauty standards. Even one kilo more makes you overweight, being slow is a social blunder. (ozempoc knockout from the comics haunts me FUCK YOU MEAN BLURR IS FAT?! "
I'll give it to bayverse... I love how their cybertronian sounds. Cybertronian accents don't sound melodic to humans, it makes the alredy foreign sounds of cybertronian sound even more like machinery, seeker ant is a lot of engine whistles, tones, and fans.
If optimus spoke with his accent from when he was Orion his cybertronian would sound like granite being driven over slowly. Megatron thinks its lovely.
When starscream speaks seekercant his voice dosent change it's scratching but it somehow sounds right now. Like how people sound off until they speak their language. Megatron hates to admit it sounds lovely
Kaon is the Gotham of cybertron. At least rent is low. Or zero is you are owned.
Train alts speak similarly to shuttles and both types consider the other their land/sky cousins.

i feel like parts of the queer community still subconsciously think of other queer people in terms of like, Queer Points™ if that makes sense. like people will act like a trans woman character is somehow a "more diverse" choice than a trans man character because being trans earns you Queer Points™ and being a woman earns you Queer Points™ but being a man is The Patriarchy™ so it subtracts Queer Points™ and thus following our elementary school level logic this makes the potential trans woman character a "better" choice in terms of diversity
and this way of thinking leads to people holding onto subconscious biases that in my opinion leads to actually exclusionist rhetoric against other queer people. a bi person could get into a relationship with someone of the same or opposite sex, but when applying this fictional logic to real people, you get people asserting that bi people in seemingly hetero relationships are somehow less queer or less progressive than bi people in seemingly same-sex relationships, as if real bi people have to uphold the same standards of "good rep" that we hope to see from fiction.
this is how we also wind up constantly arguing over "but what about the hypothetical cis ace guy or the hypothetical cis hetero aro guy at pride??!?" because someone being asexual or aromantic with no other queer labels isn't seen as "visibly queer enough" to Really Count as queer. especially if the hypothetical guy we're getting mad over is cis.
obviously cis people don't need defending, but i also feel that this way of thinking has made a lot of people start acting very entitled about cis people's gender- rather, people they think aren't cis. if it's a close friend who's curious but hesitant about exploring their gender and you give them a nudge in the right direction, that's fine. but i've seen people become really invasive toward internet personalities and other complete strangers to them, often acting like they know this person better than they themself do, and any gender explorations in the future are always met with "i told you so" rather than "congratulations". i especially see this happening with creators people read as transfem, and it really does feel like a lot of it is rooted in the idea that trans people inherently get more Queer Points™ than cis (queer) people, and that women inherently get more Queer Points™ than men (cis or trans). the "so when are you starting E haha" jokes are so pervasive that when i as a transmasc person started playing a game that was fairly popular among trans women, i had a (cis) friend say, "so like... are you detransitioning now?" as if joking about a trans person being obligated to detransition because of a game isn't transphobic (or really uncomfortable and awkward at best)
no one type of queer person is "more queer" than any other. i am not somehow better than a cis bi person just because im trans and bi. someone who's gay or a lesbian isn't somehow more queer than me because they'll probably never get into a hetero relationship. trans women are not somehow more queer than trans men because theyre women. a cis ace and/or aro person is not somehow less queer than a trans ace and/or aro person. if we dont stop using this extremely basic logic on our community we're never going to actually understand acceptance, because this logic leaves acceptance up to conditional factors. it's so important that people start recognizing when they do this (because hell, even i've caught myself doing it) and start to unlearn this way of thinking.

you made me ship shelliot so hard it's not even funny 😭 like normally im not super into rarepairs bc it seems ppl ship them just to ship them but i legit see where you're coming from, especially in the same context as your comic where their story begins after elliot moves in. i actually love your comic i cannot wait for the next part (not trying to pressure you obv). ive never gotten too many hearts with either of them but your characterization just feels so accurate like i feel like I could see your story with their dialogue happening in the game and it wouldn't feel out of place at all. and also finally (oops ive been rambling), your art style isn't overly detailed but the facial expressions/body language/like perspective i guess of the characters, especially shane and elliot on the dock is so well done, the small changes in positioning work so well to communicate the change in their body language and its just really impressive.
sorry i yapped or if it was weird or something i promise i was not trying to come off weird 😭😭😭 i just really admire good fanworks such as yours and it's important to tell authors/creators that they're doing well and yeah
also if you (or anyone else) has any shelliot fic recommendations i would loveee to hear them :>
No but seriously it's so funny that your like "I hope I'm not being weird" meanwhile I reread over and over your super thoughtful message to keep me going 😭
YOU GUYS DON'T REALIZE I NEED THOSE HYPER DETAILED COMPLIMENT or my stupid brain will go like "Okay time to think you're worthless and that what you're doing doesn't matter"
No I can point at the screen and say "See? 👉📱 SEE?! 👉👉📱?" and it's putting another coin in the machine hehe
Anyway, thank you so much 😭
AND YES I HAVE FICS TO RECOMMEND! ONCE AGAIN, @cutethulu you know the drill hehe
Camellia Station, by Awdrey (Explicit - but it's only one short smut scene in the last chapter for now)
Now it's still in progress (updating once a month) and they still didn't smooch yet, but that's what you get when you fall into the Shelliott rabbit hole, hehe, you can't be picky
It's really well written and the author and I have a lot of similarities in our interpretations of Shane and Elliott :) Go give it some love!
Also some one shots by @mongoosingisme that I really love :
Untitled Shelliott Ranch Project
Herding cats (Explicit - Shane/Elliott/fem!farmer)
And UHHH maybe you've seen it already but I wrote one about Shells, it's an alternate ending to part 34 (it's my first one and I'm really proud of it teehee)
Shells, alternate ending, by shells_stardew (Explicit)
Also @visionofthebees wrote this one for me on the same concept :
One Shell of a Night, by Visionofthebees (Explicit)
Be warned it's EXTREMELLY SILLY and she didn't even reread it before posting, but I love it with all my heart it's so so funny hahaha
I love her so imma also recommend her Clint x Elliott fic too (yes yes you read that right, she's 10 degrees further than me on the crack ship scene) :
Falling Ore You (Explicit) (46 chapters, completed)
LISTEN SHE MAKES IT WORK OKAY! SHE REALLY DOES!
And also, check my bookmarks! They are some non-Shelliott stuff that I absolutely love in there! (BUT always ALWAYS check the tags before reading, there is also some dark stuff haha)
Here you go, hope I didn't recommend all the ones you already knew about, as we all know this is not an extremely popular ship so this is what we get, quality over quantity hahahaa 😭

don't like, don't read, keep it private
people are allowed to write about fanon versions of the characters. they're allowed to like simple caricatures/tropes of the characters and what people might call "shallow". they're allowed to only have a simple idea of the world and the monsters and they're allowed to only know things from BOTW, they're allowed to only like LU. because they're having fun. that's what they like. they don't have to do something new or different if that's not what they want to do.
so what if there are other games? so what if the characters are more complex? so what if there are other links-meets out there?
you can't force people to like something they don't like.
this reminds me of the fandom drama of how mlm shipping is more popular than wlw shipping. and the wlw shipping fans tried to make it into a morality issue and force people to like wlw and make content for it. you can't guilt or shame people to like something they don't like. you have to make content for it. you have to make your own community.
this is a fandom, people! it's first and foremost things made for the creators of the fanwork themselves! if you want nuance, look for fics with the nuance you want, find people with the style you like, and if you can't i'm sorry but you have to create it yourself, and you complaining on social media about it is not the move.
you're not better for liking vanilla over strawberry ice cream.
i have my own opinions too, but i express them by not reading/engaging with those people and complaining to my friends in private. because at the end of the day it's not that serious if they write characters in a way i don't like enough for me to shit on them and ruin their fun.
a simple change people can make is changing phrasing:
don't say "i hate it when" or "why do people write this character this way so much"
try to make it more positive and uplift the stuff you want to see:
"i love it when" or "there needs to be more"
or just write posts about how you think without bringing in other interpretations. i've seen so many posts that expanded my idea of a character because someone made a text post about their thoughts without bringing others down.
#and also a lot of the time#these are new writers#or actual KIDS#writing the type of stories you might not like#pls don't say you hate a type of fanwork in public for these creators to stumble upon#linked universe#fandoms#spookspeaks

#borb talks#i always find it... weird and uncomfortable#when people start getting popular online or in person and decide that they're suddenly better than everyone else#like the way people will cast others aside because they don't have enough followers or aren't 'cool' in certain spaces idk#it's happened to me several times and now it's hard for me to not read into the way some people move#this isn't about any of my moots btw it's just something i've observed#like im just remembering how i was trying to have a convo with this one person#and they wouldn't respond they'd just go 'oh you should google me' bc they had a wiki page and were making fun of me#for not knowing who they were???#or how in other fandoms i'd know people who were very popular and would refuse to interact with any of my art and writing because#it was made by me... and not a popular creator#Or getting straight up ignored by people I used to think were at least friendly towards me without any warning

Dude some of those popular so-bad-its-good movies are unironically outsider art and I don’t think they get enough appreciation for that
#Neil breen is absolutely an outsider artist#Mark Regions ‘after last season’ is an outsider art film#yes they are bad movies but they are so unique in how they’re made#the decisions don’t really make sense bc they aren’t rly drawing from how other films are made#or from any technical knowledge of film making#those decisions are entirely from whatever is going on in the creators mind lol#of course the most popular one of them all The Room also is outsider art#genuinely very cool to me that the movie is so beloved lol#like yeah it’s enjoyed in an ironic way it’s unintentional comedy#but I think a big part of that enjoyment comes from the insanity of it#it’s so uniquely Tommy Wiseau no one else could have made it#these movies are SO sinciere

Actually feels like I'm losing my mind sometimes 'cause the TDP fandom is the only fandom where it feels like people are hardly at all fawning over the well curated selection of gay DILFs in the series.
Like this is one of the few children's media I know that has canonical mpreg (that's somehow done in a way that's also treated with just as much seriousness as it's treated comedically) and... no one cares? I mean, maybe that wasn't shocking to the fandom at the time and of course a ton of other shit has happened that's gone beyond that (like the cannibalism maybe), but seriously. Surely that should attract people to this show, right?
I mean, tragic old man yaoi became so popular in 2024, I saw everyone talking about it all throughout the year on Tumblr. And no one looked into exploring viravos more through that? Like, what? The way the ship so perfectly aligned with people's ideals for that trope and even hit points that I felt like some people said the most popular ships of that trope weren't able to fit... And if anything it seems like viravos has died down since mid 2024 (around when season 6 came out and when this trope seemed to be peaking in popularity because of the other media coming out at the time that used it) within the show's own fanbase. And it used to be the second most popular ship at that too.
And again, it's one thing for none of these characters or ships to be the main appeal for the fanbase itself... But somehow none of these things draw other people in? That's the crazy part to me. That's what's mind boggling.
#the dragon prince#tdp#viravos#viren#lord viren#aaravos#tdp viren#viren tdp#tdp aaravos#aaravos tdp#another day of wondering why is the series so damn underrated#this turned out to be more of a rant then I intended it to be#but okay so this is my own personal theory#I think a lot of this has to do with the advertising done for the show and creators' interactions with the fandom#cuz it seems like the creators are more heavily aiming at appealing to already existing fans#and I think the thing is most of the already existing fans aren't actually into those things (at least not much anymore)#so there's a lot more promortional material that's made for rayllum and draggang fans#cuz that's a lot more popular currently in the fandom#even tho outside of the fandom what's referenced in the post is what's currently more popular#so ppl outside the show aren't getting exposed to those aspects of the show that are more appealing in bigger fandom spaces#does that make sense?#like even the very few (but well known) ytbers who've done videos on tdp still seem to be more focused on rayllum above anything else#despite also not seeming to be that invested in the fandom#cuz that's all tdp presents itself as and allows itself to present as#(not that that's a bad thing)#also obviously this isn't me saying we should idolize problematic men in media and I'm glad the tdp fandom holds ppl accountable for that#and obviously like the main canon wlw and the most popular mlm ships (janaya and sorvus) are by miles healthier then viravos#but still#(also anyone who thinks that the subreddit is still made up of viren/virrow stans I assure you they lost interest post s6)

badge of honor for dsmp fans who were vaguely aware of it and trying very hard to ignore it in 2020-2021, until they fully got into it the past year, or two, and realised like a slap to the face how ingrained it was into the internet culture of the day.

i'm so fucking tired of people pretending tim isn't in a minority
i'm so fucking tired.
people. people can you hear me? he's canonically bi. canonically. no i don't care that you headcanon everyone as queer, it still matters. that representation matters. his identity matters. i'm not here for the bi erasure/biphobia. i'm not here for it and no one should be.
also. tim is jewish. actually canonically jewish. there was a star of david on his mother's grave.
TIM. DRAKE. IS. JEWISH. AND. BISEXUAL.
THESE. ARE. MINORITIES.
#not to mention how tim's experience includes:#the invisibility victims of emotional abuse feel talking abt their experiences#the erasure of bisexuality as a valid identity#refusal to acknowledge the networking he did to CREATE THE BATFAM AS IT IS TODAY#THOSE BITCHES WOULDN'T BE HERE IF IT WASN'T FOR TIM DRAKE#the experience of ppl who express their trauma in diff ways#just. because. he. didn't. draw. attention. to. it. doesn't. mean. it. isn't. there.#because guess what?#real people also do this#real people don't draw attention to their trauma and are ignored when they try to bring it up#real people end up not receiving help because they need different help than the others#that's a bad thing#that shouldn't happen#the abuse apologism in this fandom is insane#the erasure of tim drake himself and his importance as robin#i hate to break it to you if it's commonly associated w/ robin tim probably originated it#dick made and popularized the role of robin#jason sustained it for like a year and got killed off#tim /defined/ it#along with dick ofc#dick also defined it as the creator of it but like#tim defined robin#tim drake#rant#your erasure of all of this shit isn't funny#i'm fucking tired#and you know what?#fight me#i'm going to be rude#i'm going to be mean

"Over a decade after its release, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) still stands out as George Lucas’s summative and most masterful artistic statement. I use the word “summative” deliberately, because Sith incorporates a broad cinematic heritage, and also draws from Lucas’s own interests in narrative/illustrative art, architecture, world religion and mythology, anthropology, philosophy, pedagogy, and even race-car driving. In finding a tonally and visually radical common ground for these fixations, the film also addresses and subverts the director’s own oeuvre; and, as has always been the case with Star Wars, Sith contends with the poles of past and future, searching for (and sometimes grappling with) the space between. Of course, the Star Wars saga has always been anachronistic, employing science fiction iconography while also pulling famously from Joseph Campbell’s theory of monomythic commonalities in world narratives; the original film, released in 1977, also acted as a gateway to a commercial future, opening the floodgates (along with Steven Spielberg’s Jaws [1975]) for a new kind of American blockbuster cinema. However, while Lucas and Spielberg offered auteurist statements on genre that were also fortunate enough to generate mass appeal, the majority of big-budget fare has since become studio-incubated and sanctioned by market control groups, resulting in films that are often devoid of passion for cinematic language. Ironically and sadly enough, this can certainly be said of J. J. Abrams’s insipid The Force Awakens (2015), a reactionary attempt to conserve a falsely utopic view of the saga’s origins."
—Mike Thorn, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith: George Lucas' Greatest Artistic Statement?
#revenge of the sith#prequels appreciation#George Lucas#the prequels#star wars prequels#prequel trilogy#pro Lucas saga#anti Disney#anti TFA#anti sequels#the sequels were made specifically in rejection OF Lucas’ prequels#they purposefully ignore his immense artistic achievement#in favour of fake nostalgia that panders to an inaccurate view of what actually made his work so compelling#it’s why I will always prefer the auteur’s touch#rather than mass produced corporate bullshit#call me pretentious all you want#but people who think SW can just be wrenched from its context as Lucas’ creation#and think you can just reject or ignore the Prequels#are just as delusional as people who think that stupid Amazon series has anything to do with Tolkien other than in name#there are creators and then there are true artistic story telling geniuses#and sadly once they become popular their work is often ‘pearls before swine’

I BEAT IN STARS AND TIME YEATERDAY IT WAS SO GOOD!!
I didn't post about it cause I was overwhelmed. Very emotionally heavy story. Also I forgor. But it's very good, I think that anyone who wouldn't have a panic attack and or die because of the content should play it (PLEASE check content warnings on games before you play them, especially this one, so you don't have a panic attack and or die. Or if it just makes you uncomfortable its also cool to want to avoid it but I like being dramatic sometimes)
This is genuinely the best take on a time loop I have ever seen in any media ever. And the writing is incredibly good also, everything in it is so carefully constructed that it all feels very real and realistic, the characters actually feel like real people who are having conversations, the dialogue flows super smoothly and is very coherent, the overarching story is very good, and the worldbuilding, though not incredibly present in the actual game, the hints you get throughout the game of how the world works is soo good, really puts you in the place of the character.
Also, for any depression havers out there, this game is very much centered on how a time loop would affect a person's mental health if it were to happen, and it DOES NOT HOLD BACK. It gets into all of the stuff normally presented in a game with depression as a theme (celeste, chicory, etc) but also goes in depth about the stuff people don't like to talk about with depression (so, again, check the warnings on the game before playing if you are interested) which I really appreciated. This game really manages to make you feel absolutely terrible in the best way possible. I am going to force everyone I know and love to play this game
Also please go check out @insertdisc5 they made this whole masterpiece of a game (excluding the music and sfx, but it's still extremely impressive) and I think it should be more popular.
#in stars and time#isat#sorry this is SO MUCH text#im just hyperfixating rn#I WILL hold my family and friends hostage until they play this#unless they're uncomfy#hoping this game becomes more popular#this game deserves popularity its so well made#and its made by one person!!#except for the music#we support game devs here#which also includes me#if youre still reading these#go check out the dev#insertdisc5#they have a tumblr and are cool#also i say the game is a masterpiece#which it is#but imo nothing can be perfect#the game has its flaws#still a masterpiece though#i hope this game gets more content for it#from the dev or from fan content or whatever#also need more content creators here. i want to watch like 7 playthroughs of this game#i want to put all of the characters of this game into a salad spinner#and also the whole game

Reading shit comics kind of sucks but at least I get the satisfaction of proving my own point w this
#like damn if i really was 100% right about this before i even knew what i was talking about#anyways one of the many many problems with new 52 wonder woman is the fact that diana isnt religious enough#also that azzarello and chiang are incapable of imagining a feminist utopia which is the original genre that wonder woman comics were based#in in the same way that batman for example is connected to the noir genre. and the mythological aspects of the og wonder woman comics were#in fact a common framing aspect of the feminist utopia genre of the progressive era (with many of the deeper greek mythology aspects being#established as the foremost ww genre later on)#anyways this failure to understand this layering of genres in the ww mythology i believe is the principle contributor of why this run which#is popular with many and has such a footprint in other more mainstream media is hated by so many longtime wonder woman fans in that it not#only neglects but actively goes against key parts of her premise#a comparison could be made to a superman run that is heavily based in science fiction and exploring deep sci fi genre plots without any#understanding by the creators of why it matters that superman is champion of the oppressed and disrespecting that core part of him by in#some ways making him actually go against that in service of the high sci fi genre plots and conflict#and then ofc to translate better in this reality this run would function like a can of worms in that while dc in comics would eventually#course correct back to the base version the public opinion would become divided and especially adaptations would need all the canon changes#from that run torn viciously out of their hands bc they refuse to LET IT GO#anyways yeah teehee i swore to someone id never read it but i needed it for fic research purposes unfortunately so i started it. only read 6#issues but meh. first one wasnt terrible tbh id read worse but after that i got much more unhappy#anyways they simply dont understand why people like the amazons or why people should like the amazons. which again is like half the freaking#point bc like. feminist utopia genre. but i digress#its bad but its bad in a way that proves me right about why its bad so at least theres that#someday when i post my rebirth ww fic ill post the analysis of nu52 ww and the comparison to the beat movement/ginsberg that ive got in my#drafts. finally get that A in comic book literary analysis#blah
