Because I'm a menace

So I was thinking the other day about how it could work. Maybe the 141, after a retty heavy fix-it tag and killing Sheperd have a new mission that "should be pretty short" (yeah, like never) so they go to New York to kill another batch of terrorists and have to follow them in the sewers (some of them will obviously be killed by the renaissance brothers). The 141 splits in two groups, one with Ghost, Roach and Gaz, that have to stop some minor shit, and the other one with Soap and Price (+Nik still in the sky).

While walking through the tunnels, killing the enemy one at a time roach notices something in the water, or rather someone (?It looks humanoid to him) he wants to rescue the guy since he seems still alive, and he has to get a positive ID before killing him, but he gets jumpscared by an angry Ralph that was going home and didn't want to be seen by those that at first glance seemed plumbers or other shit.

However he scares the shit out of Roach, and the other two panic because «There is a thing! It's not human» and Ghost is the only one freaking just a little less out.

On the other side of New York Soap and Price found some less littered sewers, where there are black signs on the walls that might have been left there by the terrorists by accident (those are the stripes left by skateborading from the renaissance brothers).

They follow the black signs until they enter the turtle's house/den the THING WHERE THEY LIVE (I didn't watch the show in english, I should have). They encounter master splinter first. They freak out.

ever have a word stuck in your head? like having a song stuck in your head except it’s a word

Most of the times it's phrases that get stuck in my head, not usually a singular word. I can recite the 'I was crazy once' endless speech for about as long as I want to because it was stuck in my head for quite a while. Upwards of a week? To the detriment of a friend of mine, the most recent phrase is 'what the sneef? I'm snorfin' here,' which gets grating to anyone who doesn't also have that phrase stuck in their head.

Sometimes it can be words, though. An example would be eccedentesiast, which got stuck in my head based on its meaning, which is simple someone who fakes a smile. Beyond that, it means someone who hides their plans, thoughts, opinions, everything behind a smile. Imagine a person who is always smiling, always agreeable, yet never honest. This could be someone who's playing nice on the surface while having other plans, but imagine someone who's always masking and playing nice, yet never showing their true self... would they even know who they were, at that point? How would you keep track of your own identity if it's never shown? If you've been hiding behind your facade for that long, would you ever want to find out who you are, or would you be too scared to show yourself again, afraid of what you'd find?

Anyway, archaopteryx. A fun word! I like it. The word itself is fun to say, nice to read. And it's a dinosaur, what's not to love? The name matches what it represents and it's a good word.

I've compiled the first half of the story here (skip the first two chapters, they're just my headcanons for Vox's backstory that I included for background info), but strict lore-adherence has never been a big deal to me. So many people helped me create this AU that everyone's allowed to have their own takes on/versions of the idea.
