Roommate AU: Rina

It wasn't Ricky's choice to get a roommate per se. Having graduated from uni last year and having finally secured a great paying internship with Jamie Porter, he was really looking forward to post-college bachelor life, especially after his longterm relationship imploded and left him bitter and broken. But he's not really given a choice when Jamie and an old college friend, Maddox, pressure him to host Gina Porter, who needs a place to stay in LA while filming until she has time to search for her own apartment. Sure, he has an extra room, but he's salty because the first time they'd met last year, Gina had called him an idiot and told him his efforts to win Nini back were lame. And sure enough, he regrets it because within two weeks of moving in, Gina redecorates his apartment and studio just because she wants to, somehow manages to commandeer his bedroom as her own, and seems to think wearing pants indoors is a social construct. It's a nightmare. It's even worse of a nightmare when he ends up falling so uncontrollably, irrevocably in love with her, but he could never put the moves on Gina. Not because Jamie would probably fire him as a protégé (among other very scary potential things) and not because she semi-recently got out of a bad relationship with her best friend's cousin. It's because Gina changed his whole world. She gets him like no one else ever has. She's his person. The soulmate he hadn't realised he'd been waiting his whole life to meet, and the last thing he wants is to lose her.
