and now, after getting hit by a car you found yourself under a certain beautiful man. hurriedly getting up, ignoring the fact that your head was bleeding— you immediately asked him if he was alright. only for him to throw back the same question and that's how you fainted at the sight of your own blood on your hand when you touched your wound.

that's how you acquired your memories on your past life. you immediately recognized the man earlier. that's calyx white, the obsessive villain on your favorite otome game before.

the main reason why you liked that otome game was the fact that there's no villainess. the crown prince (one of the male leads) has no fiancee or whatsoever. and besides, the design of the characters was superb. you're on your way to buy the second version of that game when you died by the way.

so, waking up in the infirmary. you found calyx on the chair beside your bed. quietly reading a book. seeing you're finally awake, he suddenly gave you a money and said that you shouldn't do it again because he was more capable to protect himself.

oh gosh. he was really cranky and looks like a lone wolf! that's how you and calyx became acquaintances.

on every routes of the game. calyx always ends up dying because of the heroine when the only thing that he wanted was affection and attention from someone. you hated it. why would the heroine always ends up choosing the playboy (crown prince), muscle brain (upperclassman) and pedo (the teacher) anyway?! when she had this adorable guy wanting her attention?!

but honestly, unknown to you. this guy wasn't adorable at all. because he was more darker than you expected. you haven't realized that the reality you were currently in was different from the game that you played in the past.

but did you care? no.

instead, you started your "give calyx a happy ending!" plan.

first, you started by greeting him every morning. acting like a friend and a proper upperclassman. you honestly doesn't have any plans to be his significant other, don't worry. you're just doing this to make sure that he will stay alive this time. you're not going to let your adorable junior die!

unbeknownst to you, he noticed your little efforts. but did he care at all? no. yet, he found himself looking forward on your small greetings and silly ways to make him smile.

calyx have always known to be the problem child of the ducal family. everyone avoided him because of his appearance (when the truth is he is too fucking handsome) that's why he grew up wanting affection and attention from others.

and who is the first person who gave it to him? the heroine. that's how he became addicted to it and started following the heroine around.

as a yandere, calyx was obsessive, manipulative and controlling. he wanted the heroine around him all the time. to the point that in the bad ending of every routes, he always locked up the heroine on his family estate and kill all the male leads.

but right now? calyx attention was diverted to you, his stupid yet selfless upperclassman.

at first, he was cautious. he thought that you only wanted the trust of his family when you protected him when the two of you fell from the stair. then, he became curious, why are you starting to act as if the two of you were friends?

he didn't trust you at first. i mean, why would he? when everyone want him dead?

but during one of the events in the otome game where calyx were accused killing one of the students in the campus (even though it was really the last boss) you were the only one who believed him. hell, you even told everyone that you were with him when they asked where he was the time the crime happened.

that's how you turned the cautious calyx into a more calm one. he started greeting you back and agreeing to spend more time with you.

you were able to change him, congratulations!

and on the last event of the otome game. where everyone supposed to condemned calyx for his evil doings. he apologized, which surprised everyone. even the crown prince who supposed to be calyx's childhood friend was surprised. what the hell? when did calyx learnt the word sorry?

you, who was celebrating the fact that calyx didn't die in this route. didn't even notice how calyx was now standing in front of you.

you blinked rapidly while calyx smiled. it was different from his usual lazy one. instead it was twisted, unhinged even. very fitting on his role as the obsessive villain in the otome game.

we all know how manipulative alberu can be if it benefit his people. that's why he tried to manipulate you at first. but then, when he heard about the true reason behind this arrangement, he let go of that plan.

you were just like him, a princess without any power. without a mother and your family practically abandoned you— atleast alberu has the dark elves but you? you were alone.

but surprisingly, for someone who has a traumatizing past. you were chaotic— you practically cause ruckus (but in a good way) on every place you go. and honestly, alberu lived for it.

well, surprisingly for a level headed person. alberu can be really jealous of others. but don't worry, he wasn't a violent type of person when he got jealous.

just like one time where you accidentally called cale, his sworn younger brother, pretty when you first met him. you suddenly felt alberu's hand on your waist while he leaned closer, making sure that you won't be able to see cale clearly and pouts while saying— 'you said i'm the most gorgeous person in your eyes, cheater.'

for someone who is drop dead gorgeous, alberu can be really paranoid, especially when you discovered his secret.

what if you hate him now? what if you were like those people who sees dark elves as threat? what if you betray him— what if you fell out love?

oh, gosh. expected that he will stick with you 24/7. you guys were sleeping on the separate room? heh, not anymore! because alberu already made the arrangement so now you'll be sleeping next to him on his bed! you guys have separate office? well, not anymore! because when you woke up the next day, your table was now inside alberu's office.

for some reasons, your guards became quite distant to you after you discovered alberu's secret.

okay, it's not like he doesn't trust you with his secret— but what if you find your guards handsome/pretty and run away with them?! nu-uh! there's no way he would allow that! so, with simple work behind the scene, he was able to isolate you from everyone. well, except from his auntie, cale and his friends.

So, while in the roleplay server, I got into an argument with a Shrimpo as Glisten about not being able to see proper reflections though Glisten's face. Then a Goob showed up (my sibling) and asked if Shrimpo was a vampire. Then they asked if Glisten (me) was a vampire. Then we asked the Goob if he was a vampire, and he turned emo. And then I shared this experience with my friends, and they egged me on to make an AU about it lol.

Glisten: So. Is this the part where we make out, orrr-?? Shrimpo: WHAT??!

Dandy: No cuz it's genius! If they hate each other, that's two less annoying people to deal with! (He underestimated the power of enemies to lovers)

The general plot is Glisten is a monster hunter and Shrimpo is a human turned vampire-werewolf (he has no memory of how that happened btw). Glisten is specifically hired by Dandicus to hunt down and kill Shrimpo. Glisten manages to hunt Shrimpo down, but since Shimpo hasn't been non-human for that long, he puts up a kinda pathetic fight. Glisten puts Shimpo's arrogant ass in place and refuses to kill him so they can fight honorably. Shrimpo takes this personally lol and strives to get better at fighting so he can show up Glisten.

You guys know Wiggle from Bugsnax? You guys know Millie from Helluva Boss? Yeah. They were the main inspos for this design hc lol (the buck teeth part not the insecurity part).

I have this goofy hc that Glisten's og design never intended to give him buck teeth. When being made, the ichor messed up and gave it to him. Learning about this is his first instance of feeling insecure about himself, and he develops the mannerism of covering his mouth when laughing (bc it makes his teeth really obvious lol)

And since Glisten now has buck teeth, that means Shimmer also gets buck teeth! However, her reaction to them was completely different to how her dad reacted to his.

I have this hc that Glisten can't handle backlash that well. With the machine messing up with his face (his teeth), and his general vibe being disliked by many people of the time of Gardenview (prob bc the 90s and very queer-coded kids' character didn't exactly mix well), he feels this crippling pressure to be the "perfect" version of himself.

If he deems you lower than him, your words don't matter. He doesn't care what you think about him

However, if he views you as an equal or higher, any kind of negative opinion said to him will be taken personally, and will either be repressed into self-hatred, or actively worked upon in order to be "better" (which ends up hurting him more depending on the situation.) His need for perfecting also makes him a workaholic when in a spiral, leading him to self-isolate and just kinda hide away from everyone for a couple days, and sometimes injure himself trying to get better on his own (he has a tendency to scratch his arms and face too, only fueling his need for isolation).

He refuses to open the door and get food outside, so ppl will slide him snacks and things under the door. People still care about him, but he'll never them see him cry.

Glisten has such horrid insecurity that he will never let anyone see. However, not everything is bleak for the guy.

Shimmer: Hey Dad! Guess what!? My teeth grew in! Now I look like you! Isn't that cool?!

She was not born with them unlike Glisten. Instead, they grew in near her "10th" birthday. She was very happy to have them. I like to think that seeing Shimmer be so happy to have a very sensitive trait of Glisten and loving every second of it helps him heal a bit of his insecurity.

After all, how can he hate a part of himself that his kid adores?

Kids don't fix everything, but they can aid in healing lol

anyways, the first time he met you. he became sure of one thing. damn, you were indeed his child. with that silver hair, blue eyes and personality of yours— you were indeed his child. he can't deny that because you looked like a kid version of him. well, it's not like he is denying it tho— but what the fuck is wrong with your brain anyways?!

he doesn't know if you were abused before he met you. but why in the hell are you so obsessed with suicide anyways?! why the fuck are you even throwing yourself in battles when you were a support mage?! for the fuck sake! stop! yes, you have above average amount of mana! but the hell?! you're not as strong as fiona nor siegren! stop it!

okay, as far as you know— you are not really a suicidal type of person. but for your father, gallahan lombardy you are. because for gallahan, overworking is another way to try to kill yourself after all.

and what is the doctor's diagnosis? you were overworked. and after hearing that, rulac lombardi, your grandfather along with your auntie and uncles saw how your father's face darkened while looking at you who was peacefully sleeping on the bed.

and then, after that incident. you couldn't help but become confused when gallahan didn't scold you— instead, when you woke up. you saw him smiling softly at you. he didn't even ask you to take it easy. he just lets you do what you want.

but what you found odd was your father started giving you foods and drinks everytime and after consuming those things. you started feeling tired and before you knew it, you always ends up asleep. and once you woken up, you were already on your room. with tia cuddling with you while your father was asleep while sitting on the chair next to your bed also asleep.

knowing how innocent your father was, you never suspect a thing. you just kept on eating and drinking the things that he was giving to you. and you never questioned why you always get tired after it. your father loves you so much, so he wouldn't do anything��� right?

plot twist, gallahan actually puts drug on your food and drinks to make sure that you will take a rest and never overwork yourself again. but a year later, you started losing your sense of sight because of it. but gallahan and tia don't care when you have them? oh, just thinking about their sweet (first name) being dependent on them was enough to make them very happy.
