thinking about dad!gojo and you enjoying a nice day at the pool to cool down from the summer heat.
with your thirteen-month-old baby sitting on your lap, protected from the sun by a parasol while you applied sunscreen to his face, satoru continued glancing at the two of you with a mischievous grin, and you knew exactly what he was up to.
because you enjoyed swimming so much and went to the pool on a daily basis, you made it necessary for your baby to begin swimming lessons when he was five months old. despite the fact that your husband's face was filled with dread, you realised it was better to be cautious than sorry.
funnily enough, he was a natural at it.
“he definitely has it from you,” satoru had murmured as he was perplexed at the baby quickly getting to know how to come back to the surface without freaking out and you only smirked confidently.
satoru kissed your forehead before lifting him up from your lap and carrying him on his shoulders. your eyes widened and you stood up from the bed, opening your lips to interject, but he pouted at you, making you groan in frustration.
"let me put sunscreen on you first, toru." you said it in a tone that permitted no dispute, and he mocked you before you applied the SPF 50 sunscreen on his face, shoulders, chest, and back before patting him to indicate that you were finished. the white cast of sunscreen made you laugh at him, and he merely rolled his eyes before stealing another kiss as he walked down the pool with the thirteen-month-old still on his shoulders.
let’s be real, with that white hair and sensitive crystal eyes he would be the first out of anyone to get heavily sunburnt.
the laughter of your infant drew your attention, and you couldn't help but follow them down into the pool, sitting on the edge with your legs in the water. satoru was tall enough to stroll into the pool's deepest portions, but for safety, he stayed at the shorter ends to play with you and his child.
he smiled, and you just sighed admiringly, unable to believe that you had finally found your own loving family, and you had no idea what you had done to earn any of this.
but that train of thought quickly ended by feeling a splash on your face, the culprit being none other than your devoted husband. but a tiny splash was added on by his mini version and you only laughed. “oh you little—“ you started but satoru jokingly defended him, putting himself in front of the baby.
“no. take me! he has so many years to come—“ he started to defend him with his annoying smirk that made you want to kiss off his face. “i’m not going to hurt him, idiot.” you pleaded your case while crossing your arms but your gaze never leaving him or your child.
you wish you could capture this moment forever.
“what about me?” he asked.
“not too sure, might just… you know?”
“oh, yeah?” he drawled before getting hold of your leg and swiftly dragging you into the pool. you hadn’t realized before the pressure of the water suddenly made you aware to come back up to the surface, and once you did you could only hear his laugh echoing.
followed by the giggles of your child, as well.
“can’t believe the two of you are ganging up on me,” you said dramatically while squeezing the cheeks of your baby who only stared up at you adoringly.
“nah, we’re not.” he shrugged nonchalantly and you narrowed your eyes at him.
he then placed the infant on the pool's edge, floaties around his waist and both arms, and a cap to keep him out of the sun. after he grabbed you around the waist with a gleam in his eyes that caused you to raise your brows.
“how about we play a little game?”
“a game?”
he nodded, “yeah. let’s see who can stay underwater the longest.”
your brows wrinkled in uncertainty, and you looked at the thirteen-month-old, who was staring at the two of you in wonder. probably attempting to make out any words.
"fine," you agreed reluctantly before he counted down to three, and the two of you immediately pushed yourselves into the water, opened your eyes and staring at him. you weren’t sure if the chlorine in your eyes influenced your perception, but you swear he was smirking at you underwater. however, you didn't have time to register before he pulled you in and kissed you.
he then quickly brought the two of you to the surface, allowing you to gasp for air before pulling you back in two moments later.
it felt fantastic.
however, the moment was cut short when your son blurted out a simple "blegh".
it was quiet for a time before you looked back at satoru, and the two of you burst out laughing, to which your child just giggled.
you wish this summer would never end.

WHEN YOU KNOW YOU KNOW
in where :: megumi asked gojo satoru how he knew that you were the one for him.
gojo x female! reader
gojo calls megumi his son <3
heavily inspired :: margaret by lana del rey.
“can i ask you something?” megumi called out, walking next to gojo after training had ended at jujutsu high. the white-haired sorcerer tilted his head, lips curved in curiosity as he glanced over.
“you already are,” gojo said with his usual teasing tone.
megumi rubbed the back of his neck, a small, awkward smile tugging at his mouth. it was obvious there was something he wanted to ask but wasn’t sure how. gojo wouldn’t be gojo if he didn’t push a little. he nudged megumi’s side, playful as always. “you can ask me anything, son.”
“okay…” megumi breathed out, nerves getting the better of him.
“how did you know that she was the one?”
that question made gojo stop in his tracks. his tall frame rocked back slightly, and he couldn’t stop the soft smile spreading across his face at the thought of you.
you.
the light of his life.
he’d been hopelessly infatuated with you since you were teenagers.
megumi’s expression shifted, worried he’d crossed a line. he started to open his mouth to apologize, but gojo lifted a hand to stop him, turning to face him fully.
“when you know, you just know,” gojo said easily, like it was the simplest truth in the world.
megumi frowned, clearly unsatisfied. “when you know you know?”
“exactly. from the first second i saw her, i knew my future had walked right into that classroom.”
“just like that?”
“just like that.” gojo’s voice softened, his mind lost in memory. “i’ve never met anyone like her. the kindness she carries with her in any situation makes her the strongest person i’ve ever known. she’s independent, she knows what she wants, she’s funny… okay, maybe sometimes even funnier than me. i’ve just never met someone who shines so brightly from in and out. so flawless.”
the words came straight from his heart, no hesitation. because no one else ever stayed the way you did.
you didn’t love him for being the strongest sorcerer.
you loved him for being satoru.
your toru.
he could still hear your voice, clear as day, from that first mission you shared.
“toru!” you’d called out, panicked when you couldn’t find him in the chaos. and in a blink, he’d been by your side.
“scaredy cat, aren’t you?” he’d whispered, making you jump. you gasped, then punched him lightly, more annoyed at yourself for worrying.
“ow! ow! ow!” he’d laughed, pretending it hurt.
“whatever,” you’d scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“you called me toru,” he’d said smugly, the smirk on his face impossible to wipe away. the curses forgotten, your shy smile and the blush on your cheeks etched into his memory forever.
“gojo-sensei?” megumi’s voice called out.
gojo chuckled softly. “what i’m saying is, when you find the right person, you’ll know. and you’ll be reminded of it every single day when you wake up next to them.”
megumi nodded, the curiosity in his eyes replaced with something gentler. admiration. understanding.
but gojo wasn’t done. “wait,” he gasped, excitement lighting up his face. “you like someone, don’t you? oh my god, my son is growing up so fast.” he pretended to wipe tears, hand over his heart. “who are they? do they go here? when do i get to meet them?” he kept going, unable to help himself.
“i don’t know you!” megumi groaned, speeding up to get away, his face threatening to turn slightly red. gojo watched him go, that familiar warmth filling his chest, seeing a younger version of himself in every lovesick step megumi took.

reader deals with heavy depression after geto disappeared
tw: heavy heavy talk about depression
a/n: i haven’t posted on here for like 2 months and this was in my angsty drafts for awhile lol so it’s pretty shit but err whatever
another side note: reader already deals with seasonal depression but geto’s disappearance was like triggering
——
the pounding in your head never came to cease, a rhythmic movement you have grown to crave instead of avoid. the longing of letting yourself succumb to these dark thoughts because it’s the only time you feel like yourself.
as if you were born miserable.
you laid on the floor of your dorm room, the scribbled down notes splattered with tears were all across your room. you had decided to take up the advice to write your feelings down in a way to sort whatever you felt inside. however, you found yourself unable to put it into words.
it’s a feeling that someone who has never felt it is not able to imagine it. after all, what sane person craves to be sad?
however, it's possible that this is what gave you a sense of aliveness at this moment. and it's not just some kind of sadness, nor is it because you want attention. it’s a seasonal condition that resurfaces the instant you manage to get back on your feet and start living your life normally again.
it returns in moments of enjoyment, when everyone is together and making jokes. yet, you feel out of place, as if you are not present with them. your mind wanders to thoughts you shouldn't have in such a nice setting. it’s as if you attract these sombre ideas and are unable to adjust to the tranquilly that everyone else appears to have.
you were so tired of feeling like you were crazy.
you were unable to do anything once he left. it felt as if time had stopped, but life compelled you to continue. why did it appear like it did not matter to anyone? how could everyone just keep living and looking at you with pity?
it truly wears you down to be bound to someone for so long.
sometimes you wish you could crawl out of your body and see yourself from a different perspective. to check if you could still feel the anguish or if it was simply embroidered in your bones. if there was anything else to you but this sense of nothingness.
you had never felt lonelier than in a room full of your friends.
the worst part of it all was that nothing helped.
you knew that it would get better.
and it does get better.
but how much worse can things get before you glimpse the light again? how long will it be before your brief moment of enjoyment fades?
you had considered running after him. must set aside all your principles, because what morals are there to follow if you don't have the one thing in your life that keeps you going?
what’s the point in anything if not for love?
you wanted to shout that your brain simply functions in this manner and that you weren't being dramatic. knowing you are unable to stop the self-destruction your body has created. that, like everyone else, you have made a sincere effort to get up and make the most of it. you really did try. you all had a wound to heal, but you chose to leave it open.
so when gojo broke down your door and fell down beside you to see if you were still alive after not having left your dorm room for days—even though it had seemed you were getting better—you had knew that everything has gone too far.
this emptiness inside of you.
the agony.
everything went too far.
he went too far.
and you were aware that you could not have accomplished what he did in any lifetime. that you couldn't force yourself to crawl after him because you would never stoop so low.
after years of telling each other broken promises that are now coming back to haunt you, there was only one thing left to realise: you had to carry on. it was not your fault that you felt the way you did, and there is probably no way to fix it. but it was time to let yourself heal and accept that you are not okay.
that it’s okay to ask for help.
if not for yourself, than for your friends.
gojo had not been able to shake you out of your paralyzed state, and it wasn’t until the feeling of his tear dropping on your face that you finally looked at him. him shouting that you can’t let it get to you, that he can’t lose you too fell almost deaf upon your ears.
you had allowed yourself to sit up straight and fall into his arms, tears silently pouring down your cheeks in a strange sensation of relief, which only exacerbated your already severe headache. you were both sobbing as you huddled together in your dorm room. both unwilling to accept what has happened and forced to continue pretending to understand.
neither of you had mentioned that night ever again.
there was a before geto, a during geto, but you never imagined there would be an after him, and it would be so devastating.
but you were grateful gojo found you when he did; otherwise, there was no guarantee you'd be here today. teaching the next generation while the memory of geto stays with you.
he would always be a part of you, and you had learnt to accept and love it rather than allowing it to break you apart.
to heal.

your brows wrinkled in uncertainty, and you looked at the thirteen-month-old, who was staring at the two of you in wonder. probably attempting to make out any words.

HE WAS A MAN OF HIS WORD
Tumblr media
nanami kento x reader in which: flowers are the symbol of your relationship.
a fluff drabble written by seven.
Tumblr media
after weeks of gaining to courage to formally ask you out, he finally did and it ever so made you fall head over heels for him. you hadn’t met anyone before who was so gentle with you and so loving; he understood and took the time to get to know you from the inside out much unlike your previous exes.
but what truly stuck was the bewildered look on your face the minute he picked you up from your apartment for the first date you two had. he had called one of the most luxurious restaurants in the city for a reservation for two even though you told him that he really didn’t have to do that. a simple restaurant or even takeout would have sufficed but he didn’t want to hear any of it.
he arrived with a bouquet of red roses, quite stereotypical but not the less romantic. a smile plastered onto your face with the joy shone so bright on your face he made a mental note to always bring you flowers.
he already intended to do so, but seeing the look of your face only made him want to do it more.
upon the arrival at the restaurant, he guided you with his hand placed upon your lower back. quite bold on the first date but he was ready to risk it, but you pressing your back into him only made him force down a swallow to refrain touching you even more. it wasn’t polite.
but god, the things he wanted to do wouldn’t meet the politeness list either.
the dinner went by perfectly, constantly being upheld in a new conversation which varied about dream vacation destinations to the favorite kind of pastries. he had told you about a new bakery opening around the corner of the workplace the two of you shared and promised to take you there the next time the two of you shared the same work break.
you were truly enamored by him and his laugh that somehow only elicited by the jokes you made. that’s what he liked a lot about you, you always knew how to lighten him up with your remarks back when the two of you were merely coworkers.
but you were never just coworkers.
the stolen glances and lingering around his desk for a second too long only added upon the obvious.
but there was truly no resisting nanami.
fast forward to many dates later and he had officially asked you to be his girlfriend alongside a new bouquet of flowers, this time them being white lilies paired with pink tulips.
he knew you liked that combination when he took you to the bakery, but as you walked towards it, you noticed a flower store and couldn't stop glancing at the arrangement. even after picking it up and smelling it, he smiled softly, echoing the expression on his face, and after work, he offered you a ride home, which you graciously accepted. after he dropped you off, he handed you the same bouquet you had been eyeing, leaving you breathless and unsure what to say.
after months of sharing day and night together, you gradually moved into his apartment. it began with the casual drawer assigned to you, followed by him purchasing your full skincare routine and other often used things, such as your preferred perfume, so you wouldn't have to return to your place to retrieve it. you eventually went out and purchased a white marble vase, which enhanced the contrast of every bouquet he purchased for you.
the bouquets he brought you usually contained some hidden note. you remember when one night the two of you had a heated argument in his apartment that eventually proceeded to him leaving and you cursed yourself for letting something so small and insignificant blow out of proportion. but when he came back with a bouquet of white gardenias, holding one up to signify the definition of a white flag you let out a relief laugh before falling into his embrace.
he had popped the question one time when you were over at his place, and told him that it might be fun to cook together to which he agreed. nanami couldn’t ever say no to you, not because of the adorable look you gave him with that slight glint of mischief in your eyes that would make him run from hell to back just to see it once more, but because he physically couldn’t.
so when the two of you were making pasta from scratch, the dough being kneaded by him as the flour was still resting upon your cheeks and nose, watching him intensely while sitting on the counter he couldn’t help but blurt it out, “y/n, would you like to move in with me?”
at first, you stared at him, puzzled, your eyes expanding and your lips open, attempting to compose a phrase from which little came. but the fact that you jumped off the counter and turned around to kiss him passionately was enough for him, and the pasta was long forgotten when he led you to the bedroom.
now, he couldn’t even remember the days that you weren’t living with him. and he found joy in coming home to you to find you resting on the couch, your eyes closed as the tiredness of staying up until one am lulled you into a slumber and he only smiled at the look on your face. the bouquet was placed upon the coffee table as he took off his shoes and wandered over to you, planting a kiss on your temple before gently carrying you bridal style towards the bedroom.
the movement had slowly woken you up and with narrowed eyes you watched him carrying you. “ken?” you drawled out and he only shushed you gently. “don’t worry love,” he paused while placing you down on the bed, “i’ll join you soon.”
flowers, flowers and more flowers.
the apartment you shared was now decorated to reflect both of your personalities. nanami’s preference for minimalist and modern style, along with your plants and cosy decor, creates a more homely atmosphere. he allowed you do whatever you wanted, and it was a pleasant surprise to come home and see that you had moved some things around or to have you walk up to him overjoyed about the latest purchases.
he just loved everything you did.
so it came as no surprise that a year later, he stood before you on one knee, the diamond ring glittering brightly under the chandelier, and you quickly moved in for a hug, followed by a kiss—having long forgotten the physical ring and focused more on the fact that you would become officially his.
the room was filled with flowers and candles, and you had no idea when he told you to go all out when dressing if you wished. nanami knew you'd be disappointed if he didn't offer you any hints, but he did just in case, because he knows you. he had gotten to know you and who you are, which only added to his desire to be there for you. to look after you, be by your side, and love you unconditionally.
when you found yourself in the aisle, with every visitor rising up and your gaze drawn to his who stood at the altar, your gaze fell on his pocket. typically, the groom would have only one flower in there, if any at all. but nanami had a modest arrangement of flowers in his pocket, including red roses, white lilies, pink tulips, and white gardenias—that's when you knew you'd made the right decision.
because the right choice would always be him.
the red roses represented the first date, the white lilies and pink tulips were bouquets you received every time he walked by the bakery and returned home to you, and the white gardenias represented every time the two of you reconciled after a fight.
to be loved is to be known.
to be seen.
and he would spend the rest of his life proving that he did.

HE JUST COMES RUNNING TO ME
Tumblr media
777GOJOSGF IS TYPING…
777gojosgf: reader x olympic medalist!gojo satoru
IN WHICH:: gojo won gold at the olympics!
a/n: inspired by the alchemy - taylor swift
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOU STOOD ON THE STANDS, your eyes fixed on him, your heart thumping out of your chest from the intense anxiousness coursing through you. how he was feeling right now is beyond comprehension. it seemed like there was only him and the applause pressed themselves into your ears.
just like it always had been.
since the two of you were students, you have always supported his athletics by attending every game, no matter what the circumstances. there wouldn't be a competition where you wouldn't be there to support him, and what started as a frivolous game with shoko grew into having a crush on the top player and him falling head over heels for you.
so you couldn't believe it when you found yourself in Paris, wearing a league shirt with his name on it and blue bracelets around your wrists, chanting along with the crowd. though a small part of you was afraid of what we cannot say, you knew that he had enough confidence for the two of you. your thoughts were confused by an immense pride and confidence that could only have come from the devil himself.
"nah, i’d win," he murmured to you before the game after kissing your cheek, which elicited a light-hearted shake of your head. he was competing for the gold medal in basketball, and while you would support him unconditionally regardless of the outcome, something inside you knew.
so as the game started and they promptly scored in the opposing team's basket, the entire stadium celebrated, as did you next to shoko, who had joined you in the stands after ending her shift as a stand-by doctor in case of an emergency at the olympics.
"doesn’t this remind you of when we joined their games as high schoolers?" you asked, turning your gaze towards her with a sweet smile. the happiness of wonderful recollections encircling your facial expressions, and she nodded. "the start of you ogling gojo? yes, it does." she joked, and you nudged her side, before the sound of another point rang throughout the stadium, and everyone stood up to shout for him and his team once again.
as the game went on, almost coming to its end and satoru kept getting in points nonchalantly as if he wasn’t being watched by the entire world, as if he was not competing for championship.
but as the bell rang to signal the end of the game, the entire crowd got up and applauded for the champions, as did you in a haze. you hadn't believed it yet, and your cheers were so loud that you tuned it out while embracing shoko, but your sight never left him. in fact, he had been looking at you since the bell rang, having discovered you standing in the stands without your knowledge.
it also struck you how he hadn't even waited for the medals to be handed out; instead, you saw your white-haired partner rush over to you with a smug grin that couldn't scream satoru any more than it already did. fortunately, you and shoko had special VIP tickets that allowed the two of you to be as close to the court as possible. he had quickly taken you up and lifted you, causing you to squeal before kissing him so passionately that you felt electrifying sparks coursing through your veins.
satoru smiled even broader into the kiss, raising you higher and whirling the two of you around. you couldn't bring yourself to care about the sound of cameras shuttering and the flashes that were so bright that they pained your eyes when you closed them.
you could only care about him.
and this moment.
you had finally let go of the kiss but not without missing the warmth on your lips as you squealed, “you fucking won, i’m so proud of you ‘toru. so, so proud of you!” you told him with disbelief yet pride written all over you and his chuckles tuned out everyone around you, almost letting you forget that he was spinning around and kissing you on national television.
he hadn’t cared about having his own moment on camera.
nor receiving the gold medal immediately.
no, he needed you as there was nothing else that came as close to being a prize like you.
you were his prize forever and always.
"i told you i'd win, darling." he remarked before lowering you down to the ground, but not before bringing you in by your waist again, laying a kiss on your forehead and then back on your lips. the grin on your faces had never faded, and you could almost hear shoko rolling her eyes at the public display of affection, but that just added to your excitement.
“i am so proud of you—holy shit. gold! i—" you began, still stunned by his victory, and there were no words to convey how you felt; nothing could justify how much he deserved this, as did his entire squad.
“i know, baby. thank you," he laughed, and his eyes shone so brightly that you could swear it lifted the entire stadium's spirit, as it did yours. he was still holding you close, and the journalists were pressing up against the two of you, desperate to capture this moment and entice your boyfriend into an immediate interview for their articles, but he didn't pay them any attention.
the only thing he did think about was you.
"go! go claim your award they’re waiting—" you stated with widened eyes, feeling slightly sorry that he had chosen you over the moment of instantly claiming his medal, but he rolled his eyes amusingly. he relaxed his grasp on you and patted your head. "as you wish, ma'am," satoru drawled, before bending in to whisper into your ear, his breath heated and making you flush.
“but you’re the prize i’m claiming tonight.”
with that, he squeezed your waist before sprinting back to join his teammates, and the camera swiftly snapped another image of you flushed and slightly dizzy from the spinning the two of you had just gone through, but it quickly turned into a joyous giggle as you cheered on your partner.
you couldn’t believe any of it.
the greatest in the league…
and he just comes running over to you.
Tumblr media
bonus::
“oh my god, ‘toru look at this one!” you held up your phone towards him with an edit of the two of you made and posted on tiktok, already gaining a million likes. his expression softened at the sight of you, and especially of the two of you being together and it being broadcasted worldwide.
now there were even strangers rooting for the relationship the two of you had.
he pointed to your phone, letting out a laugh before drawing you closer. "look at you being all flustered," he mocked, causing you to grumble in frustration and playfully smack his bicep, never escape the moment being shared across all media, and satoru had most definitely not lived it down.
before you could say anything, he placed your phone on the bed and drew you onto his lap. he reached over to the nightstand and placed his gold medal on you. "’toru?" you asked, perplexed as your hands stretched for the medal, fiddling with it as you met his gaze.
“ssh, sweetheart. just admiring my prize.”

i know this is a bit old-school tumblr style posting., but the tags and search engine of tumblr stresses me out, so ill do it this way!
id really really like to follow more active haikyuu, bnha, dgm and jujutsu kaisen writing blogs! (and maybe catch some new moots as well ahaha jk! ....unless?)
i am a sfw gender neutral reader-insert writer for hq, dgm and bnha myself! im 29 years old and i dont mind following blogs that also write nsfw, as long as its properly tagged. just beware i will generally only interact with your sfw parts !!
so if youre writing any of the aforementioned fandoms and post semi-regularly (any posts are fine, writing is an ebb and flow, so reblogs count in activity for me). please reblog this post and ill follow you !! (specifically a reblog so that it will reach more, thank you!!).
i will follow from my main blog, @/lordpopuko.
i try my best to reblog fics and foster community as often as possible. i also like adding several comments to the fics that i reblog, so theres no downside to having me follow you ehehehe 🥺 <3 (check out this tag of recs to see examples of my type of comments if ur curious?)
if my moots or other followers would be kind enough to reblog this as a boost, id be eternally grateful in my quest to find more activity on my own dash. ill send you all a gift basket filled with cookies, berries and plenty of snøfle fur to go round thank youuu🥰
ps i also wont expect follow backs btw i just need more on my dash :) so no obligation to do so! only if youd like to !!! ✨

LOSS OF MY LIFE
Tumblr media
777GOJOSGF IS TYPING…
777gojosgf: reader x ex!saturo gojo
IN WHERE :: after you had left tokyo for a year to clear your mind, you decided to come back but only not alone.
a/n:: hurt/comfort, angst, sad, ooc!gojo, slight fluff?, reader getting over him and erm long chapter
also i’m on vacation but i’ll still post :p
sequel to: this
Tumblr media
THE FINAL MEMORIES OF your past love burnt down in front of you, and the smell of fire wavered through the air and forced its way into your nose. when you didn't know how to express your emotions, you had a habit of writing them down. it was as like putting your feelings into words that everyone could understand wasn't enough to make them legitimate or to make them justified.
a year had passed since you bid farewell to tokyo, your teaching position at jujutsu high, and that white-haired man who might have broken your heart in a million different ways. however, you had never lost touch with shoko, who even travelled to see you in new york city, but not before informing you of his progress. he made a scene with your best friend and made it obvious that everything they had was for pleasure.
that made you run to your bathroom and throw up.
the man who said you were supposedly the love of his life.
the promises and plans you had for the future, the times you scribbled his name in your journal because he was the only thing on your mind, all of this was layered over with flames as you watched them dance. the hearts you drew around his name were taken away by force, even though drawing them made you feel like a high school girl. it could have been a metaphor for you to relive the events that happened to you and the suffering you carried with you, which would help to heal.
it was legendary.
the way the two of you were drawn to each other, how with one glance the two of you were able to create stories. Just by the glint in your eyes he could tell how you were feeling and what you needed to feel better in that exact moment. you hadn’t ever loved someone before as you loved him, in fact you couldn’t stop thinking about him for perhaps an entire month after arriving in new york city.
maybe you were foolish to think that going across the world would vanish the feelings you had for him.
however, you would never be able to forget what he did to you. the fire mirrored his vivid red eyes, which used to sparkle so brilliantly when you were around. it was illegal, to say the least, the sobbing that reverberated down the corridor of your former shared flat, cries of betrayal and utter agony that made you lose your equilibrium and tumble right down the wall and onto the floor. the video of him and your former best friend was playing on repeat, and tears had obscured the screen.
you didn’t want to see any of it, because you knew what happened before you even got proof of it.
sometimes you just feel it coming.
however, you were unable to resist examining every detail of the two-second film and trying to understand what she was saying to him. unfortunately, your focus was repeatedly drawn back to the smile on his face as he held her. and everything appeared to be exactly like the grin he had on his face when he slid the engagement ring down your ring finger.
had he liked her all this time?
no, that was not possible. he had written a handwritten note that he sent to your flat in new york, stating that they had only been seeing each other for a week or two. you didn't know how he got to know your address.
or maybe it was longer.
you couldn’t trust his words.
what use had it anyway? you were pissed off you had given him all of that youth for free, the damage had been done.
“y/n.”
you started to blink in response to the voice, moving your eyes to look at them. you looked like a deer caught in headlights. that guy—your upstairs neighbour and boyfriend—carried your boxes into your flat on the day you moved in without even asking. after maybe twenty minutes of kneeling by the fire place, lost in a trance, you swallowed, extinguished the fire in front of you, and got up.
there’s no doubting that he was all you could ever want. the way he held himself with a charming grin, his selfless generosity, and the civility that permeated everything he did enhanced his presence. you always remembered to give thanks to the universe for sending him your way, even if you had no idea where he was coming from.
regretfully, he discovered your broken state after you had come, crying the whole way on the airline and showing up with swollen eyes. the way you were unable to force yourself to unpack the boxes and furnish your brand-new flat in the heart of the city. you graciously declined his offer of assistance, thanked him for everything, and chose to take charge of the feelings that had been in charge of you ever since you found out.
there was no reason to beat yourself up over something that wasn’t even your own fault. you deserved new beginnings and definitely a happy ending.
however, you trembled when you first opened your moving box and discovered a friendship bracelet that you and your former best friend had crafted together years prior. and you were powerless to resist sinking back into the chasm that transported you down memory lane. the past is suffocating you, clouding your eyesight, and playing with your emotions because every time you two laughed hard, it was ingrained in your memory. your veins were penetrated by the anguish.
you hadn’t lost just satoru, but the girl you grew up with as well.
maybe she wasn’t worth all that if she decided to betray you in the way that she did.
that image, though, of you waiting to check in at the airport and then hearing your name called out from behind. and there she stood, trembling, her hoodie already smeared with tears. you had marched towards her, emotionless, stepping out of the line with a look of newly gained rage.
you didn’t know what to feel anymore.
it had all been a blur, with your voice growing more venomous with every passing moment because of your hatred for her; it was even repulsive to look at her.
“what the fuck are you doing here?” you asked but she only kept staring at you, not seeming to respond any time soon. that had only enlarged your fury and the argument quickly transformed into a larger phase.
“i don’t get why would ever do that to me, it was so fucking unnecessary—we were girls together. together, you and me. to think that you would go for someone i was with, to think it was satoru, do you fucking hate me?” you had said while pointing your finger at her and she didn’t know what to say, looking too much like how he did when you previously had the argument with him in the teacher’s lounge. you hated her even more for it.
“he broke it off with me, y/n. he said you were leaving so i—“ she started while shaking her head and reaching for your hand but you flinched away and narrowed your eyes at her. “so you thought it was a good idea to trail me down? so that i would forgive you for, oh i don’t know, fucking my fiancé?”
you felt the stares at the back of your head, knowing that the other travelers were possibly entertained by this whole little argument that all felt too greatly orchestrated.
“y/n, i love you. please— i wasn’t thinking okay? it has always been you and me, hasn’t it? you can’t leave.” her lips quivered and it came out shaky, breathless as you stared her down and you could see her falling apart inside. the realization of having messed up to a point that was unfixable had only hit her just now and it only gave you the tiniest bit of satisfaction. because she did, she had completely and utterly lost you.
you only stilled, “do you think it is fair, to be scared every day of a love affair? when i’m not even fucking sure if he wants to be with me because he always came home late, just to find out he was with you? do you know how fucking stupid i felt?”
she looked at the ground and anxiously played with her nails. it had only made you scoff that she wasn’t even able to handle your confrontation.
“you made me feel stupid. and now you’re asking me to stay? for who? because you clearly aren’t worthy of my time.” you added but she was suddenly quick to jump in.
“satoru and i aren’t even a thing anymore, god, i doubt he even fucking liked me, okay? i just wanted something like the two of you had.” your former best friend explained but it didn’t help and only made her dig her own grave deeper.
“we were engaged. so to have something like we did, you would fucking ruin it all for me? are you that fucking selfish?” as you spoke your mind fell once more into this hole where it wouldn’t stop connecting the dots and suddenly everything seemed very clear.
perhaps it was noticeable to everyone but you.
“don’t ever fucking talk to me again, i feel nauseous just looking at you. perhaps you and satoru can go ahead and both fuck yourselves, assuming you’re not foreign to it?” and with that you turned around and joined the line back, immediately handing in your luggage and with long strides left to continue your travel with your head forcibly held up high, tired of constantly being toyed with even as your heart ached.
fuck.
you wish you could forget how you almost had it all. the perfect husband, the ever so doting childhood best friend, being a teacher to the greatest students.
“y/n,” the voice before you called out once more and the heat rushed to your cheeks as you looked up and met his glance. “you keep zoning out love, are you alright?” your boyfriend asked you as he pulled you in by your waist and giving you an embrace, added with a kiss on top of your forehead. his hand caressing the back of your head and stroking your hair, and you hadn’t known what you did to find him.
“yes, thank you. i’m just feeling a bit weird today.” you confessed truthfully as you had always did with him because you had told him on your third date that you couldn’t rush into things because your head wasn’t with it yet and he promised you that he would go as slow as you wanted it.
“are you alright—“ he tried to ask once more but you let go of him and a mischievous smile was placed on your face which he immediately mirrored. “come on, i didn’t drag you all the way from new york to tokyo to mope around. in fact, i’m fantastic.” you drawled and excitedly got ready to head out of the hotel room the two of you booked in tokyo. after a year, you found yourself here once more.
but this time everything was different.
you hadn’t been a sorcerer anymore as there were almost to no curses roaming around the streets of new york city—surprisingly—and therefore you had decided to try and let go of that version of yourself as it only reminded you of the missions you joined with him.
it seemed as though the air had been pumped back into you, leaving you to make decisions about your newfound identity and opportunity at a fresh start in life. to choose to live and hold onto the positive aspects of yourself that you may still feel, or to exhaust all the air and let go.
obviously you had grasped at the opportunity.
you two waltzed around the streets of tokyo, your arm around his, showing him all of your favourite spots and undiscovered gems in the city you had previously said farewell to.
ironic, isn’t it?
much to your relief, he agreed when you took him to a street food vendor and urged that he try a dango. he seemed to like it as you held up the stick in your hand, and then he decided to plant a kiss on your lips as well. your brows furrowed in perplexity, yet a delirious smile that quickly faded into a frown was visible on your face.
you heart sank as your eyes locked on the towering figure that stood behind him—a figure you knew all too well. his gaze locked with yours, making it difficult to breathe, let alone swallow. the way his energy made you feel constricted all of a sudden, it made your lover turn around seeming confused about why the smile had dropped so fast he thought he had imagined it ever being there. however, the ringing in your ears suddenly grew so loud that you were unable to hear anything.
you hadn’t even realized that he greeted the two of you, but you knew him better to know it was a facade. his overly nice tone being laced with jealousy making the air turn into something so crisp you felt it slicing you. but, you held your head up high. something you had taught yourself the past year.
as you had to sworn to yourself that you knew better.
that you had grown.
good riddance.
“gojo,” you acknowledged icily but still gave him a smile that wouldn’t make the passing stranger wonder if the three of you were either arguing or having a nice civilized conversation. “i would say it’s good to see you but i’m not quite sure.” the polite smile tightened and you felt your boyfriends hand reach for your waist, giving you a squeeze of support.
that didn’t go unnoticed by satoru either.
in fact, he had a hard moment looking away from it, a hard swallow enforcing through his throat as he moved your gaze towards you and then to your boyfriend.
he pursed his lips, “haven’t seen you in a while, aren’t you going to introduce me to the mister?” satoru joked and tried to crack a smile on your boyfriends face but he remained cold and secure, which is what you liked most about him. nothing ever intimidated him, and he wasn’t ever afraid to show you off, to claim you his.
something the white haired male strongly lacked.
“this is my boyfriend, bf/n,” you started to introduce him and his eyebrows raised and he tried to once more meet your glaze. even though his blindfold hides the way emotions came to cling on his crystal blue eyes, his posture betrayed him.
he was clearly surprised.
and in fact, he missed you so much.
after you had left the apartment the night it happened, he came back secretly wishing he would still find you somewhere. that he would hear your voice calling out for him just like it did when he came home late from missions that tired him. he had checked every single room wishing and practically begging the universe that you would be found. but alas, you truly were gone. and you hadn’t even brought much stuff with you, almost eighty percent of your clothing still being present in his closet till this day.
he longed for you and it was no rumor that he had beat himself up every day for losing you.
you just wished that he realized it before you that you’re the loss of his life.
“ooookay, boyfriend huh? that’s good to hear, i mean, it’s good to know you’re doing well y/n.” satoru quipped and nodded alongside his sentence but it didn’t match his tone.
“is there any reason i shouldn’t be?” you immediately asked him.
“no i didn’t say that… but perhaps we could talk, ya know? today, or tomorrow i don’t know. but i feel like we should?” he asked you while crossing his arms and the hold your boyfriend had on you only tightened.
it was quite funny to realize that he had no idea that satoru was the greatest sorcerer of this time.
but perhaps that was all there was to him.
you opened your mouth to answer but it immediately shut as you heard a voice that definitely wasn’t yours. “i don’t think that is necessary, hm? my love and i have still so many things to do, but it was nice to meet you.” your boyfriend has answered in english, although being able to understand japanese to a certain extent and it only made you look at him with surprise. it initially came off polite and well mannered, but the emphasis on my love and the way he sneered at him while saying that made it aware that he clearly wasn’t a fan of satoru either.
so instead, you let go of the polite smile on your face and let your boyfriend drag you away from the scene.
as you continued down the market, you felt him kissing your cheek, but you were more and more conscious of the searing hole filled with remorse at the back of your mind as a result of satoru’s intense stare. but as time went on, the feeling grew progressively less, and when you turned to see if you could still see him, there was no sign of him, which felt like too much of a parallel to the two of you's connection.
“you didn’t have to answer for me, you know?”
your boyfriend turned his head to face you as his arm was now placed around your shoulders, keeping you close to him. “oh love i know, but i didn’t like him attempting to hurt you once more. you handled him perfectly on your own, but i couldn’t help myself. we are here to have a good time, no?”
and you simply only stopped in your tracks and stood on your tiptoes to plant the sweetest kiss. “thank you,” you murmured into his lips and he only grinned at that before kissing you once more.
however the look on satoru’s face when he stared at the hold your boyfriend had on your waist made you tremble, and it had almost pushed you back into the abyss that took you ages to climb out of.
should have let it stay buried.

777GOJOSGF IS TYPING…
777gojosgf: morally grey!f!reader x satoru gojo
IN WHERE :: you reminisce the night you met him for the first time.
trigger warning: violence, graphic mentions, blood, assault.
a/n: part of the nightcrawler series!
Tumblr media
THE FINAL VESTIGES OF THE clan you were exiled from marked you as the blood down your face. there were repercussions to being called a bastard, particularly after losing both of your parents. you were not just an orphan; you got the impression that the world had given up on you as well, leaving you to fend for yourself while avoiding certain death.
you have killed numerous times. sometimes it was a commission because, as a young girl, you had no other means of earning money and surviving in the world. however, that was also how you developed and the outside world got to know you. your identity became anonymous, and it was exciting for commissioners and other establishments to discover who you were.
hell, there was even a bounty on your head.
you had encountered a lot of people in this jujutsu society because of the notorious lifestyle. despite one of them being a member of the zenin clan, he refused to identify as zenin. you simply loved his courage to defy his strength and forge his own path, despite the fact that he was someone to be dreaded. maybe you two weren't as different as you believed.
however the kill this time made you shiver, the fury and vengeance surging through your body made you feel as if you were on fire.
even though you kept promising yourself that you would cease performing other people's dirty work, you had accepted a commission much against your own feelings. however, it was difficult to make money without a job, a degree, or anything else that could even somewhat assist you in that area. at the orphanage, you were undoubtedly taught the fundamental school courses—in which you excelled flawlessly— but at the age of sixteen, you left without saying anything. wishing to leave the place as soon as possible.
and your trainer, the owner of the orphanage, understood.
maybe that’s why he never reached out to you again. because he knew that you would do that yourself.
you settled into a seat in the shinjuku city casino's bar. when the barman asked whether you wanted anything to drink, you graciously declined, not wanting alcohol to tarnish your nightly commission. instead, your left-handed fingers were tapping on your thigh as you calmly anticipated your attack, while your eyes were scanning everyone in the casino like a hawk.
the assignment was to assassinate a businessman who frequently spent company money at the casino. thus individual had, regrettably, meddled with the wrong empire and tried to sue them. he apparently didn't realise how dangerous the business in tokyo is.
their money was paid in blood.
an eye for an eye.
and it was something you respected.
you had swiftly located him seated at the poker table at the rear of the casino. he had his other colleagues and an escort with him. however, your desire to murder him vanished the moment you noticed who else was seated at the poker table. you laughed out loud and attracted unusual glances from the patrons at the bar.
the reassigned heir from the clan you were banished from.
the universe really had its fun with you, didn’t it?
but that wasn’t all, so you got up from your chair right away to take a closer look at the issue. he had an unsettling grin on his face that you didn't like, and it was clear that he was intoxicated. you thought he had finished gambling with all of his money.
your fortune.
however, what enraged you was the way he got up and grabbed the female servers. the heir was discreetly followed by the dreaded clicking of your heels. he caught hold of a waitress, who yelled in shock and attempted to free herself, but she was unable to escape and no one dared to assist her.
He he led her outdoors, but he had been foolish to ignore the person he was following. ultimately, he is the heir to one of the most influential clans, and people would constantly want him dead.
as did you.
you waited two seconds before kicking the back door open through which he fled, still holding her. startled, he turned around and lost his grasp on the waitress, making her yell for help and starting to run for it. you empathized with her and it was time to make sure he wouldn’t dare to lay his hand on another woman ever again.
"who are you?" he screamed, reaching into one pocket for the pocketknife he knew was there. you could only chuckle and put out your foot as he grabbed it and attempted to reach for you, causing him to stumble and fall face-first into the floor in front of you. you gave him a stomach kick that caused him to roll over and lie on his back. the scent of intoxication, which you dismissed, drifted through the air along with the late-night breeze. "i would tell you not to touch a woman ever again, but you would still do it. would you not?”
he shook his head rapidly and tried to form up empty promises but a kick to his lower area made him scream out in pain.
"on my terms, i’ll make sure it doesn't happen again.” you continued, "i hope you know that that was my money you fucked with," and he opened his eyes, trying to figure out if he recognised you. though your mask did a good job of hiding your identity, sadly, the moonlight shone down on the two of you, allowing the violet undertones of your eyes to be seen through the black contacts that were placed over them.
“bastard?”
the hearing of what he called made you go into tunnel vision and you reached for the melee knife that was strapped to your thigh in a holster. without thinking twice, you plunged and the blood splattered across your face.
you felt the blood trailing down your face as you went to grab your knife and wipe it clean with the blazer that he was wearing before putting it back into your holster. “fucking asshole.” you muttered before walking away from the scene, leaving his body alone at the casino.
that would mean that your clan would need a new heir, once more.
how ironic.
sometimes you felt guilty at the lives that you have taken from others even though they were always someone that had done unjustifiable things in their life.
however, this time, every single portion of your body was devoid of any regret. and this served just to fuel the retaliation plans you had been considering ever since you were put in the orphanage. a plan to exact revenge on them all, hold them accountable, and demonstrate to them what a so-called bastard like you was capable of.
killing the heir was only the start of it all.
“you confuse me,” a voice said that was right in front of you and you snapped out of your trance. the cursed energy in front of you was unlike any other you felt, but besides that the man in front of you had a presence of his own unrelated to the energy he possessed.
you stopped in your tracks and your eyes trailed him up to down, and you were quick to recognize him.
that white hair was recognizable anywhere.
“pardon?”
“well, you know— you have so much energy residing inside of you that i could feel it from miles away. i don’t like to say it but, it’s impressive. although i can’t say that i recognize you.” he explained before walking over to lean with his back against the casino. “some would have thought you would kill others with the use of techniques, no?”
your eyebrows knitted in confusion and you debated to perhaps walk away from this conversation. not wanting to get interrogated by a stranger.
well, you were unsure if you could call the satoru gojo a stranger.
he noted that you weren’t going to explain anything to him so he decided to lead the conversation once more. “you’re not a curse user, or perhaps you are and i haven’t been across many to figure out you are one or not. nor are you a former student from jujutsu high but i’m not sure if you have attended any sorcerer establishments at all.”
“what is it to you?” you asked clearly annoyed.
“curiosity is all,” he said with a grin on his face that only added to your confusion that was mixed with your annoyance.
perhaps you should have walked away after all.
“besides, if we look past your little killing scheme,” he paused and gave you a slight side eye which only irritated you even more, “i’d like to invite you to come with me to jujutsu high. you don’t have to become anything, but maybe getting to know the energy that resides inside of you is a good thing.” he proposed while raising his eyebrow, his tone convincing and he truly thought he had you.
but the evil smile that plastered on your face was enough for him to frown.
now you would truly uphold to your promise of no more commissions.
“curiosity killed the cat, gojo. do you plan to use me as a pawn, because you’re foolish if you think you could convince me with such a poor offer.” you started to slowly walk towards him, “you jujutsu idiots have no shame, do you?” you pointed out before walking away from him to go back to haunt the streets of tokyo.
“the offer still stands.” he called out from behind you but you didn’t turn around.
"you better have a greater proposal the next time we see each other, because I'm guessing this won't be the last time." you drawled and swore that you heard a small laugh.
