I have a few questions for the 72 hour ask,

What’s your least favorite time of day? Thoughts and opinions of book to film adaptations? If you cheat in Monopoly and get away with it, is that just playing the game “better” (I think it is lol)? Fav ship outside of teen wolf? And (this is just for me, but) any book recs?

Least Favorite time of day: Morning, I'm a Night owl!

Opinion on Book-to-Film: I'm mixed. I really enjoyed The Hunger Games, granted, I'm only halfway through Catching Fire. I have yet to read The Maze Runner. Though I have a goal to read one of the books I own that has a movie adaptation, which is: A Dog's Way Home, before seeing the movie, I started the book in High School but never finished it due to COVID.

Do I think cheating in Monopoly is playing the game better?: Honestly, I'm also mixed about that, too. I haven't played in a long time, granted, I've never felt the need to cheat.

My favorite ship outside of Teen Wolf: I have an entire blog page listing all my favorite ships by my overall feeling towards them: My Ships | Blog. Some of my top are Newtmas, Olivarry, and Jasher (Jordan/Asher)

Book Recs: I grew up kinda hit or miss about books, but one American Girl Mystery - (Yes, I was that kind of Girl LMAO) got me back into reading! My Goodreads has a lot of books from my high school days and some YA books like: The Secret of the Mountain Dog or The Legend of the Ghost Dog, The Search for Baby Ruby, etc

Nowadays, I'm reading more advanced, I read Kathy Reichs Temperance Brennan books, granted I only read one of her books in the series (and out of order lol), I loved it as I love the show Bones!

I also read Romance, my favorite Author is Shannon O'Connor, who writes Sapphic Romance! Out of her books, I recommend Hate to Love You, Doll Face, and A Very Sweet Christmas, which you can find in her Vault for bonus chapters once you subscribe to her newsletter and directly in her shop site

I just got a lot of new books for my birthday (5/9), and a majority are F/F or M/M romance. My favorite MM Author is Sophia Nixs, and my favorite series is the North Avenue Live Guys, which is available on Apple Books! I have a lot of books on my TBR that I just started making my Physical TBR list on my Goodreads lmao

I'm only saying this for your sake, but objectively, it's not a smart idea to bring politics into normal hobbies. You might lose supporters of your blog just because of your political stance, and that would be terrible since you're so amazing!! #4 emails part 7

I just wanted to share some emails sent back and forth about my fic Sense of a Foreshortened Future because I need inspiration to start writing it again. In these emails it's referred to as #4 because it was the fourth Thiam fic I ever started writing. I will do my best to remove what I think is spoilers.

Hello, hi,

Whenever this gets sent out it means that I've finished chapter 5, so yay! As I've been finishing up I've been thinking of titles. One thing I've noticed is that they're competitive in this chapter, but not in a toxic way, more of a they both want to show off type of way. 

I think the title could be some sort of reference to these little competitions they keep finding themselves in.

Trying to figure out what fire would taste like, seven

P.S. I'm writing this bit right after I finished writing chapter 5 and honestly I think it's going to need a lot of work, but I also feel that way about literally anything I write once I finish it.

this is part of an essay I'm writing about THG and SOTR

It’s important to note that in THG people in the seam are not the only ones struggling for food, “Most of the Peacekeepers turn a blind eye… because they’re just as hungry for fresh meat as anybody is.” The food deprivation in District 12 has gotten so bad by the 74th Hunger Games that Peacekeepers are amongst the best customers of black market food. This indicates to me that 12 is not just struggling, but has intentionally been made into a food desert. Capitol citizens not having access to fresh food, when it is clearly stated earlier in the text that there is plenty of food outside of 12’s fences, and later in the text that there is an excess of food in the Capitol, proves that this lack of fresh food is an intentional move made by the Capitol. It isn’t enough to just keep District citizens poor, but those who might have the funds to eat properly are deprived of that right by there simply being a lack of food available.

So I've had this idea for Liam that I didn't really realize I was writing. He really likes nature and being outside. 

Like even in the first chapter it's him sneaking out of his house to just run around outside. He lets the wind pull him out of the stressful cycle of thoughts he's in about Theo and Scott. Later on he wishes that Theo would pull over so he could look at everything around him so he could experience it. He gets stupidly excited about snow and knows constellations by sight. The whole reason they're even staying in Yellowstone is because he wanted to experience the incredible nature there.

To you this has probably been incredibly obvious but I'm only realizing it now as I write about Liam watching old faithful.

I think he finds peace there.

Maybe it's something to do with his wolf seeking out freedom. A literal second nature drawing him away from human comforts.

That could be another reason he's so agitated in chapter 6. He hates the feeling of being cooped up and the full moon would just be putting more pressure on him.

I keep seeing the question of "why didn't the girls just stop Shauna?" and I think it's a really easy answer. For one they we're a team, and at this point have survived a year and a half out in the wilderness together. There isn't a lot of hate between them (besides Shauna towards Mari and Ben). And secondly, I think adult Shauna was right saying that each and every one of them did find some sort of joy or purpose out in the wilderness.

Shauna is violent and cruel to a degree that none of the others are. However, the hunt isn't Shauna's doing in any way, even if she is "the queen" and takes credit for it. The hunt is coordinated by the others, Tai and Van rig the cards, and Lottie is the one who continues to count after Shauna. And before all of this, Melissa encourages Shauna's cruelty and play for power. They all participated. Shauna is a conduit for everybody's violence, cruelty, and lack of humanity.

in the adult timeline we also see this cruelty/selfserving/destructive behavior from the survivors (except for Van and Nat majority of the time). Misty quite literally abuses her elderly patients by withholding medication. Tai leaves her family to pursue a woman that she hasn't talked to in decades. Melissa stalks and deceives a woman and eventually enters a relationship with her and has a child. We're all aware of how fucked Shauna is in the adult timeline I don't need to go over that. Lottie has a literal cult and is the one to suggest that they kill one of the remaining survivors. Lottie, Nat, Tai, Misty, and Van hunt Shauna in the adult timeline. Van heavily contemplates murdering Melissa. Melissa does murder Van. Tai is very close to murdering two separate people for Van (and yes other Tai is, even if there's dissociative amnesia between them).

guys I could literally keep going. The reason why they don't stop teen Shauna is because they are all fucked up by that point. I'd say the least morally corrupt of the group is Nat and that's for obvious reasons. Nat is the perfect foil for Shauna, and Nat dying in the adult timeline will ultimately be the reason why everything goes seriously wrong for them. They don't have a conduit for the good in them anymore.

I honestly really like Hayden and I really wished the relationship she had with Liam didn't happen. This isn't because I ship thiam, that's a separate topic. I loved her competitiveness and petty attitude, which I feel like were really snubbed when her and Liam got together. Once she was a girlfriend I feel like she wasn't a full character in the writers eyes, which is a shame. This isn't to say that she lacks all personality after, but I feel like if her and Liam hadn't gotten together, or got together later, she would have had more to her, y'know?
