friendly reminder that you are not your past neither your trauma. you don't need to avoid the feelings you have for that person, you don't need to pretend to be feelingless when you literally are dying inside bc of the love you hide! let yourself love and let yourself be loved. i know you suffered in the past and feelings are confusing to you. i know you might not have a good image about love because of your abuse or the broken relationship between your parents, but i swear it doesn't have to be like that. you deserve love. you deserve to experience buttefrlies in your stomach, the warm feeling of touching that boy's hands, their hair... you deserve it. go ahead and love the person you just thought about!
