Also there are pinto beans interplanted the corn. corn evolved by hands, wood and stone Whereas the other grains evolved along draft animals and steel. This makes corn better suited for #smallscale #agriculture Also corn yields more #biomass for building #compost as well as edible grain per unit of area than most the other grain crops. Culinarily speaking it is more diverse from baby corn to sweet corn to the corn meals and popcorn. Popcorn has an ability to not uptake pollen from other corns. Which is especially important for keeping GE contamination out of your diet and popcorn can be milled and used for polenta and other dishes besides popcorn. Corn lacks tryptophan and its niacin is bound up and can not be released from the acids of the human gut. It needs a strong alkaline environment to be freed. The body can create its own niacin in the liver but this requires tryptophan. If you're not preparing your corn with cal, lime or ash then make sure your diet has good sources of niacin and tryptophan. #growfood #growbiointensive #ecologyaction #completedietfarming #growsoil

My wife @paradigmseed and I got to go #backpacking for five days for my #birthday! We took it easy the day I turned 38 and did a short hike up to another lake and I also got to do a #trailrun on some fun rocks and boulders! I love backpacking but have always thought "this would be so much fun on a #bicycle"! #trinityalps (at Trinity Alps, California)

My trusty #bicycle fell down while I was riding it. I lucky carry a spare #derailleur hanger. Got 4 flats today! Made it to the ocean and my wonderful wife met me at the redwoods because we are #romatic especially when #mosquitoes are involved! Stop by the #victorygardensforpeace to see the work of my fellow colleagues at their #researchgarden. Only 6.5 hours on the #bike. I could have used more but really pushed the last 2.5 hours! Little cooler today, Sunday I rode for 2.5 hours in 105 to 107 degrees. My wife @paradigmseed is really brave and rode in the heat for half of the days mileage, most people would avoid the heat. I am lucky my wife is badass #growsoil #closedloopsystems are the way we want to garden, #ecologyaction #growbiointensive method is the closest to sustainable I have seen or heard about. Lucky to work as an #aprentice for them. #bicycles and #gardens are tools for #responsible #humans. My #mtb is getting some love ❤️ I have been neglecting it for sometime now. I have some big #adventures rolling around in my mind! I work for a nonprofit that teaches people how to grow a complete diet in the smallest area possible while growing soil and using minimal resources. We also do research and work for minimal pay 💰. #cyclingtips: the ST-MB 29 makes a great stand to hold your #bicycle upright! It also provides seating for removing grass #seeds out of your #fancy socks after performing a #giro style Tom Dumoilin.😐. Turns out that the #kingsnake is my #spiritanimal. Also stopped at 100 kilometers in to have a #baker style #turnandburn which made for a #dreamy #decent. Almost 7 1/2 hours in the #saddle. #mendorandonneur #traing for #cyclocross My turn around was at a #ranger station so I could pick up a few maps to plan some #epicadventures #onelesscar! Thanks to @compasscycle for the wonderful #tires! Barlow Pass is a very special place to me. My first 100+ mile ride's turn around spot! Also starting in the summer after 2nd grade 1989 my uncle would take me backpacking from Barlow Pass to places like Silvertip Peak almost summited but I was a little cry baby and was sacred but made it up Gothic Peak the next year. All these were on my bmx bike and my uncle would carry both our packs on his bike and tow me with a rope up any hills. I have great memories of the area so thanks for naming a tire after it. There is nothing better then finishing a backpacking trip with a bike ride.
