Creamsicle and Toothpick Bitchslap both end up at a carnival on the same day independently and are essentially the Goofus and Gallant of public coupledom… Freddy tries to win Larry a stuffed animal at a game (Larry waiting patiently to one side while Freddy wastes about 50 bucks worth of tries, but eventually comes out on top with a big purple bunny that they both get bored of lugging around almost immediately but it’s a nice thought at least.) Vic just threatens the carny at the stand after missing his first few tries. Freddy and Larry kiss at the top of the Ferris Wheel. Vic and Eddie are drunk in the basket immediately behind them spitting on the people in the lower baskets/rocking their basket/full on doin’ it with some vague notion that they’ll be done by the time the ride’s over.

(reservoirgays‘ most recent toothpick bitchslap fic had me thinking because the image of them on the floor there was precious) when Vic gets back from prison he literally doesn’t really get why Eddie’s all upset and crying now i mean i’m home it’s fine now let’s go burn down a building or something but he eventually accepts that the thing to do is just be quiet and wait this out because this is apparently some sort of Moment they’re having now.

always always toothpick bitchslap being lowkey really protective about each other like they meet when they were younger and Eddie’s really hot on Vic to start with because Vic is big and pretty and good in bed and shares their mutual criminal interests very enthusiastically and Eddie’s pretty well adapted to getting what he wants, so he doesn’t really realize that they’re Serious until they’re already 50/50 “bloodthirsty criminal duo” and “painfully comfortably domestic” and he’s reading everything important out loud/explaining new information a few times without Vic even having to find some awkward roundabout way of prompting him to do it any more.
