Thoughts on Superman
I know this isn't podcast related, but I'm just a fan of stories and storytelling...   That and I'm a huge geek and nerd!
So let's talk comics for a bit. I saw this posted on Twitter by user @TalkingSuperman and wanted to share it here with you as well.
Tumblr media
I've long looked at Superman as a great role model type of character. Someone that kids can look up to because of his high moral values. But ultimately the character of Superman has traditionally fallen a bit flat for me as an adult because I've always felt a bit bored with the fact that rarely is he in a situation where he isn't over-powering whatever he is up against, and in easy fashion. In short, he felt too powerful... and this quote from Elliot S. Maggin on writing Superman now has me sort of thinking about #Superman a little differently...
Which, at it's core, might be why I never quite related to Zack Snyder' s Superman in his series of films. He was all about the action and didn't understand SUPERMAN.  I'll be honest, I think this sentiment is somethin I've always felt inside, but am guilty of being too lazy to look deeper to the Superman stories to get the real moments behind them.
  Food for thought.

Last night I started playing this little game I picked up on Steam for dirt cheap called Tick Tock : A Tale For Two.  It’s an interesting concept, a completely co-op game where 2 players are necessary to solve puzzles and advance the story. However the game does NOT connect online at all. Instead each player chooses a side, Player 1 or Player 2, you hit start at the same time and then work together outside the game with each of you only able to see your own screen so you have to rely on voice descriptions to help each other.  The puzzles are fun, some more challenging than others, the art design is basic but pretty beautiful, the music is FANTASTIC, and most importantly so far it seems to be a wonderful and dark mystery story that is unfolding as we continue to solve puzzles to find out what exactly is happening.  Highly recommend it!
