Thanks for the explanation now I understand lmao still a bit confusing since I though in Japan they called people by their name once they were close enough (like you'd be in a romantic relationship) and I totally didn't expect this.
Thanks for the explaination 🧡
I was rewatching Inazuma Eleven go (ep 18) in sub and I got to the scene where Tenma goes to dinner at Endou's house and we see Natsumi. Natsumi calls her husband by his last name. Natsumi, which gained her husband's last name when they got married, calls her husband by his last name. Make it make sense.

1. I'd say around a 7/10. It's not bad but it's doesn't completely satisfy me either. There's so much more shades I'd love to add but I'm just not skilled enough to yet
2. Mhm for my own enjoyment. Like I see tropes I like and I'm just "uhh but what if it was like this" and start fleshing things out. I have a lot of fics that never left my drafts because I finished my hyperfixation on the topic 😞 it makes me sad because they are fics i'd read if I didn't have to write them
3. I dont think there's anything honestly? I really can't think of any special trait my writing might have
4. A LOT. depending on the fandom I could give a different list but there are so many writers that truly resonated with me when I read them. Outside of fanfic content there are writers I absolutely adore but I don't feel as inspired by them because I read them in my native language so I don't feel that inspiration since I write in English. Kinda weird ik
5. Currently I would say Goal or Kill (GoK). It's been in the oven a lot and it's still not nearly done cooking. I'm very excited for what's to come in the future of this fic. I also have to say that having a beta reader helps a lot in keeping some form of enjoyment in writing a fic and making it more interesting, I never had beta read before Gok
6. I would say emotional dialogues between just a few characters? When there are a lot I mess up and I feel like the tension gets watered down because I don't know how to write that many characters at the same time but since they are present I think I can't just let them stand by the side doing nothing and it PISSES ME OFF
7. As I already said scenes with a lot of characters. Some will end up not speaking, kind of like ghosts or something, you know they're there but they don't actively do anything while those who do appear don't have any satisfying action or dialogue UGH
8. In General main characters or characters who have prominent roles in the og media. It's a bit easier to get them in character (even tho getting them completely will always be impossible for me)
9. As opposed to side characters. I'm sorry but I find hard to write character's who's only character trait is being comedic relief or emo or similars. In that fandom often helps, seeing how other writers write certain characters or anything of the like but there are characters I don't care about enough to read their fics so it's an infinite struggle
10. Crossovers. There's something so oddly nice about thinking of how characters from different medias would interact with each other? Also I love when the writers have creative ideas to merge the universe. I do not like however when they take the whole cast from a media and put them in another media. My idea of crossover is taking a character from media a and making an elaborate excuse to put him in media b or like character from media a having a past in media b. I also love found family ✌️
11. Most of my wips are about Midoriya from MHA and in general mha is the fandom I have the most wips about. In second place comes Genshin with lots of not-abandoned-but-not-recently-updated wips. Third place is Inazuma Eleven, there aren't many wips there but those few I have make it take third place. Then there are a serie of fandoms I used once for a crossover and never looked back to (fmab, ac, sk8, pjo, toh, tpn, etc). All fandoms I love reading for but I would never find myself actively writing for outside of crossovers.
12. Oof so I'm not going to say gok cuz I already talked about it and it's actively being published. There was this pjoxmha crossover I was working on that had me giggling and kicking my feet's the whole time and I sweat the plot still got me hooked. Been a while since I wrote anything for it because I've been focusing on Gok (again, having a beta does wonders) but I hope I'll get back to it eventually. Same thing goes for another mha crossover I was working on with sk8, I swear it was very interesting and I hope it'll see the light of the day but I just can't find the pull to write for it lately
13. First fandom? Mhm that's hard so, if we wanna be completely honest I think either mha or haikyuu on Wattpad. I had a few fics there in my native language, most of them will die in my drafts though they were very very cringe. First fandom I wrote for in English though would be genshin
14. My favorite fandom really depends on what I'm hyperfixating at the moment. I find Mha particularly easy to write but it really comes with ups and downs. At the moment I'm loving writing for Inazuma Eleven Go but it might change in a few months, guess we'll have to sit and see
15. I don't think I ever wrote for a "weird fandom"? What are we even considering weird? I mean some of the crossover I did might be unexpected or weird but the fandoms par se aren't weird. I guess the mha fandom is pretty weird (toxic) but not the weirdest one I've witnessed. At the same time writing for a child show like IeGo might be considered weird by a few people?
16. Have I already mentioned I love crossovers? Besides that I love BAMF characters like hell yeh give my main character a reason to be absolute badass, more than he's in canon. If we can go over to tags I absolutely will die for found family and hurt/comfort
17. Ehhhh anything focused on romance i guess. I'm not a fan of writing it, If it's side characters sure, if it's reading it sure but writing it? Im out. I dont want my fic ti be romance focused. I also don't think I'll ever write stuff like modern aus/coffee shope au/ collage au/ etc. Might be because I mostly write for arleady modern/schooly vibes fandoms mostly but like if I was writing for genshin I don't think I'd do that
18. So there was this fic that never left my wips where Kaeya literally gauged his right eye out, the one covered by the eyepatch. I think about that fic like twice a day. I sadly kinda lost that fic forever because it was in an account that got delated, I'm so sad about that
19. If it's well written I love everything (when reading) when writing I already said my preferences so I won't repeat myself
20. When it comes to reading both is good though I dont read ship focused fics unless they have some other plots behind them. When it comes to writing I mostly write ships as background. Like I ship bakudeku but you won't catch me writing it (maybe not even background) but erasermic? There isn't a single MHA fic of mine that doesn't have it. It depends on how strongly I feel about the ship. I also don't like throwing stuff without adding some sort of development or depths to it. If I were to write a mha fic where izuku is the mc and I want to have background togachako i would build up that ship without throwing it randomly in a random chapter and leave it at that
21. UHHH THIS IS A GOOD QUESTION! platonic I'm going to say izuku and aizawa/Mic, I LOVE DADZAWA. i also love writing izuku with Shinsou as kind of siblings. Ragbros is another platonic pairing I'd die for, when it's paired with Jean? Cheff kiss. Romantically I love writing kaebedo and erasermic. I've never really written any other ship yet. I am planning on eventually adding takuran to gok though as a background pairing
22. Yep! I either listen to one of my playlists or to lo-fi girl
23. Ehhh i like prompts but I never found myself writing for them. I usually get inspired while reading other fics with similar tropes or just mesh my hypefixations together
24. Both. I mostly write multi-chaptered fics but I have (had) a few one shots in the works
25. Literally every night lolol. If I'm writing a fic I will daydream about future scenes from it. This is actually how most of my fics started, I read a fic I liked, I daydreamed about it, I started writing. I have a brain and a dream when I write fanfics
26. I can't think of anything
27. Not a chaper in particular bur there was this person commenting on every chapter I posted of a fic giving a lot of insight and it made me very happy every time. On another time there was once this person who commented "it's been 3 months daddy... I really miss you...:(" on my mha x fmab fic after I had stopped uptading for a while and it made me post a chapter on the same day
28. It depends on how it's exposed. I don't generally take well to criticism unless it's like mixed with good stuff. Like yeah tell me you felt like a scene was flat (and mostly why) so I know what to be careful for in my next chapter but please tell me also you liked how the two characters interacted. If I only see the downs I get unmotivated
29. I don't think so? I don't think I have a confort one so im not sure
30. Both, both is good. Angst followed by fluff is my cup of tea
31. If I started speaking about my ocs it'd come night before I was finished lol
32. Kirino doesn't get chosen for earth11 so he moves out of Raimon and becomes a volleyball player
33. It's so very random I swear to God. I go chapter by chapter most of the times and I TRY to plan things out but sometimes characters just don't do what I want. I mean my plans aren't very strict mostly like "i want this to happen eventually" but stillll
34. “Damn Izuku, you must’ve broken a school record if you’re already in the infirmary on the second day” he teased as he sat down, much quieter than before.
“Training accident” the injured teen replied, not meeting the other boys’ eyes. Reki found it suspicious since Izuku wasn’t usually ashamed of stuff like that, unless he was hiding something. When he looked over at Langa he noticed the boy was holding a tight grimace.
“Sure, little dude” he continued, not wanting to expose Izuku just yet. “What are we looking at?” he asked, looking at the bandaged arm.
“I healed the worst of the burns” Langa answered, as he had already earlier. Izuku shot him a betrayed look when he mentioned the burns “There are just a few scratched left”
“Wait burns?” Reki gasped, his gaze shifting from Langa to Izuku. After a moment of taking in Izuku's face he looked back at Langa. “Tell me it’s not who I think it is”
“It wasn’t” Izuku tried to answer but before he could even finish Langa had already interrupted him.
“It was”
“Hell no” the redhead stood up from his seat, startling both Izuku and Langa. “If that brat thinks he can just keep beating up my brother under my watch he’s fucking wrong. I’m going to have a talk with him” he declared as he started making his way out of the infirmary. He was stopped by a hand on his forearm.
35. Mind blank, I literally cannot think of anything. This arleady took me over an hour so I will leave it at this cuz I kinda have some things to do 😞

I do not need to skip meals when someone is in the kitchen and I don't want to deal with cooking while someone else is in the kitchen as well
daily affirmations:
i am kind
i am in control of my emotions
it does not bother me when someone is in the kitchen while i was planning to be in there alone
everyone in the house has the right to be in the kitchen
i am kind and in control of my emotions even when someone is in the kitchen while i was planning to be in there alone

You guys don't want to know the crashout I had after I realized, 7 chapters in, a plot point I could have in GoK that could make the story so much more interesting but it has to have at least some build up because if not it'll appear out of the blue.
Like I'm currently going back over the last chapters to see where I could add the build up, my beta reader is going to do the same tomorrow. Its currently 1:40 am and I'm also trying to think of like this new plot point because like heyyyy
Ugh life is pain pain is life

There's this quote I read from a ragbros genshin fic that was like so simple and yet impactful
"But I want to eat more icecream"
"It will still be here in the morning"
Very simple I know but that's the point! I've read this fic years ago but this quote stuck with me like red dye in hair. In it's simplicity it changed my view on life.
Thank you StrangeDiamond for writing a quote like this that forever changed my perception of quotes in media. It is to this day my favorite and the only one I learned by heart.
anyone else ever have those chunks of sentences/paragraphs - either written yourself or read in ffs - that's like, individually, if you look really close, they're nothing special, not even amazing vocab, just like, words. then you zoom out and look at it as a WHOLE and damn whoever wrote this was a genius

This is how GoK came to life as it is now btw
@er2es
Every unhinged fic writer needs an equally unhinged friend who "yes ands" their ideas and encourages them to write all their most far fetched and insane stories.

Girl (/boy/idk??) If you don't write this, even just as a one shot, I'll literally die like wdym this came to you as a dream?? For a plot like this I'd have to genuinely think about IT'S DESTINY you HAVE to write it please???
(AND WDYM STICKERS PACK AND A VAN WHO TRIED TO KIDNAP HIM??)
Is this a sign of a new fic??? No, it's just insanity
A little background about me; I tend to have vivid and uncontrollable dreams. Most of them were story-like and adventurous, and the 'genre' of dreams would differ. Mostly horror for some reason.
Anyway, I won't get into it much BUT
I had a weird, but funny dream lmao. I think the reason why I had that dream was because my friends and I were talking about age gaps (nothing bad, dw, we were just laughing at who was younger and who was actually older between our friend group), and after that I went to rewatching just one episode of IEG because I am very occupied for some reason despite being summer🤩🔫
Anyway! Of course, it involves Tenma. No surprise there, but the plot of the dream went like this:
Tenma was around 10 or 11 years old (I forgot the exact age, dream logic is foggy okay 💀) here.
And for some reason, he ended up being a first year of JHS Raimon, when the series started. Funnily enough, the reason why he happened to skip 2 grades(?) ahead was when enrolling him, his dad was super tired and accidentally ticked off the wrong grade level 😭 So instead of entering elementary school like a normal kid, Tenma got promoted two years ahead and ended up in JHS. Do not ask why Raimon has an elementary division, I dunno either. I'm not sure if they have one in the canon, but oh well. And do not ask how they allowed it, or how they didn't find it odd, but I guess Tenma's grades here were surprisingly passable enough????
Oh well, congrats Tenma for the upgrade!
Ofc, it was Aki who noticed the oddity when they received Tenma's uniform. She immediately called the school like, "Hi, sorry, I think you gave us the wrong uniform by mistake—he’s supposed to be in elementary?"
Raimon admin was like, "Oh no, hold on, let us check the system—hmm, no, according to our registrar, Matsukaze Tenma is a junior high student... ah, a first year! Did you receive the second-year emblem?"
(WHY DO THEY HAVE EMBLEMS??)
Aki: "... J— Junior High?"
Raimon: "Yes, Junior High. Is there an issue...?"
Aki: "Y-Yeah, I think you made a mistake— he’s not supposed to be in junior high yet—he’s like, 10??"
Raimon: "Huh. That’s odd. But it says here in the enrollment documents that he’s registered for JHS."
Aki: "...Ah. I see. I’ll, um. I’ll call you back."
Cue Aki calling Tenma’s parents.
The parents: 😧 The dad in particular: 😨 (He definitely got a long, loud earful from his wife after that. Deserved tbh.)
They arranged a meeting with Raimon’s school board (online, since Tenma’s parents weren’t in Inazuma at the moment), and apparently, they couldn’t undo the registration just like that—he was already listed as an official JHS student in the system.
Apparently, the only way to “fix” it was for the enrolling guardians (aka the parents) to come in physically and sign the needed paperwork and to the process. But they were overseas on business, and Aki, despite being his legal guardian and relative-sister hybrid, didn’t exactly have the legal authority to do it.
Um, welcome to Bureaucracy, I guess????
So that means they have no choice but to let Tenma continue his accidental JHS journey.
Throughout the whole drama, Tenma was just outside with Aoi and Sasuke playing soccer without a care in the world lmao😭 Aoi here is still in the same age as when she was in the series.
BIG SISTER AOI PROPAGANDA RISEEE!!!
Anyway when Aki finally explained the situation to Tenma with Aoi present, their reactions were perfectly in sync. Shocked pikachu faces!!!
Tenma's reaction was like going up and down on consecutive hills. He was shocked, then he was excited cuz "oh im finally a big kid now!" then anxious because "oh the subjects are going to be hard" then determined "i can do it, things will work out somehow!" then the dread, "oh my god, i'll be surrounded by big kids, they're going to eat me alive—" then relief, "oh it's okay aoi will be there with me!" then teror, "math. math is going to be hard. im going to fail, this is embarrassing."
Then excitement: "IM PLAYING SOCCER WITH THE BIG KIDS!!" then another dreadful terror: "im playing soccer with the big kids." which is, yes, normally would be exciting but the social pressure squashed him like a bug. Poor guy :')
Anyway, the series started. Dream stuff happens, I don't remember the events and stuff but apparently, it went well. I'm surprised Tenma didn't go to the hospital for the many scares he had (Fifth Sector, going against Tsurugi, raimon soccer club practically hating him or smth, Shindou's rough treatment with him at the exam(😭), the rough treatment from other teams, and so on and so forth.)
The dream ends there.
BUT, HERE'S MY ADDITIONAL TAKE ON IT MWAHAHAHAHA
No one knew except for Aoi and the school staff that Tenma is years younger than all of them.
When Tenma's birthday came (after the go season, idk bro, but before chrono stone), the soccer club and some people outside the team (like Taiyou for instance) were invited to a restaurant as a venue. It wasn't all that fancy, just somewhere in the middle. Tenma's parents rented a floor used for occasions from the restaurant for them. Both are present here, and they finally get to meet them!! Some greetings here and there—
(Tenma's mom: "Oh thank you for taking care of our dear Tenma! I hope he hasn’t caused too much trouble. The last time he did something like that was when he somehow set the water on fire."
Raimon: "...what😀"
Tenma: "I learned it from the guy down the street back in Okinawa!"
Tenma's dad: "He was a retired magician. Who soon committed arson."
Raimon: *insert unsettled tom meme face*)
—until they see the birthday balloons in the center of the wall.
Happy 11th Bithday Tenma!
Eleventh...
Eleventh...
Eleventh Birthday—
"YOU'RE ELEVEN???"
Tenma: "Oh, yeah! I didn't tell you guys? :0"
The pieces of the puzzle just suddenly clicked.
No wonder Tenma was on the shorter, tinier side. They had all silently chalked it up to maybe a touch of malnutrition (since he doesn’t eat too much—he gets stomach aches if he overdoes it), or just a genetics thing. After all, he seemed fine. Energetic, cheerful, did backflips during practice. Just small.
No wonder he spaced out during lectures sometimes—he literally skipped two years of foundational learning, which kind of explains why his handwriting is fighting for its life, but they kind of collectively agreed it was from his shaky hands. His handwriting had gotten better as months passed by, though.
No wonder he always blinked blankly when someone mentioned pop culture from more than three years ago, before enthusiastically asking what it was. But at the same time... he never acted immature enough for anyone to seriously question it.
But there really was no reason for them to think or come to the conclusion that Tenma might be younger. Sure, his level of social cues and knowledge seemed a bit low on the bar sometimes ("tenma, just because he offered you a sticker pack and led you to a van, doesn't mean there were stickers."), but his kindness, empathy, and emotional levels made up for it. He always knew when someone needed cheering up. He just didn’t always know why.
Not to mention, there were times when he sassed people.
And academically? His grades weren’t amazing, but they were passable. Passable enough that the team didn’t dig deeper and just figured, "Yeah, he’s a bit spacey, but he’s Tenma."
No wonder the teachers seemed to coo at him too! No wonder they'd sometimes give him candy, whether sneakily or not! Which kind of set a few alarm bells from some of them- but they just chalked it up to Tenma's natural charisma and adorable-ness.
Because he was a literal child. A baby!!!
It was like the laws of the universe crashed on them and, as if the stars aligned, they all thought one thing:
Fifth Sector had a beef with a 10-year-old.

sometimes your brain really just offers you one banger of a sentence and then that's it for the entire rest of the day. creativity expired, the ability to think has clocked out for the day, context for as to how we even get to this sentence? sorry we're all out. this one sentence is all you get.

GoK was once supposed to be a one-shot collection. It was supposed to be angsty but still light and quick to write. Then it became a Canon Rewrite. Complete rewrite of the serie. Planning to get to Chrono Stone and MAYBE galaxy I haven't planned that far yet.
It was supposed to be a one-shot collection...
(i might eventually write some of the one shots I had planned and post them but they'd be like a different timeline than canon gok because the plot kinda changed in the mean time and, besides, some of the stuff that was supposed to happen in the one shot is going to happen with a different key in gok so yeahhh)
"IT WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE A ONESHOT!!!" i scream, desperately clawing at the floor, as the fic drags me back into The Depths to continue writing against my will for the rest of eternity
