OoM 1-2, Godspeed Origin: Holt's Call

(A call for help is heard over the radio as Holt drives along a snowy road.)

(He turns into and stops at a clearing in the trees.)

(Leaving his Jeep, he follows footsteps in the snow, into the forest, where calls for help come from, where a trail of blood comes from…)

(The winter clouds and tall trees make it darker within the forest.)

(A call for help can still be heard.)

(The forest grows denser, darker.)

(Something is not right… not ordinary…)

(Drops of blood in the snow, disturbed by many footprints, continues.)

(Holt continues on, unflinching.)

(Untill…)

The trees… what is on them?

Animals? No, parts of them..

That isn’t why Holt comes to a stop, though.

What lays ahead of him… people… are they?

They cover their faces with masks of…

Creepypasta.

Holt may not be a man of the internet, but that doesn’t stop him from being disturbed by the scene. For their masks are made from wildlife.

Are they displeased to see Holt there?

Or does the singular emotion of their masks tell that they are pleased?

No time to find out, for they begin to approach…

Rather than escaping, Holt prepares, by donning gloves and a whip.

His set of animal handling gloves and a short hunting whip with a hook on the handle.

The… things… have also come armed.

Oversized, jagged blades of inhumane intent.

Holt will have none of that, for they have no idea of who they will be dealing with…

One lunges at Holt.

A snap of his whip stops it.

Using the distraction, a second goes after Holt.

With the distance closed, Holt throws a punch, stopping the attack.

But there is a third, running around, to behind Holt.

The whip’s hook snags the third’s blade and Holt pulls it out of its hand.

The blade flings forward, cutting the first in the leg.

The first two distracted and the other unarmed, the third fights Holt, hand to hand.

It seems to have no form or pattern to its fighting, it just wants Holt.

However, Holt throws and blocks with moves of self defense & pro boxing.

The third thing has a trick up its sleeve, or more accurately, it’s gloves: claws.

Lucky for Holt, his own gloves are strong enough to block the slashes, but for how long?

Can he also keep blocking all of its wild attacks? Holt won’t give up so easily…

The other two start to regain focus. Holt better hurry or he will soon be overwhelmed!

It slashes at his torso, but this gives Holt the chance at a hard backhand to the face! Holt shows no mercy, punching him square in the face, over and over, until it falls back onto another one of them. The one with the cut leg, uses its other leg to jump Holt, but a quick whip to its face makes it miss! It won’t let that stop it, so Holt retaliates with a hit from his whip to its blade hand, causing it to drop it. Still won’t stop! A crack at his leg, then to the wound on the other! Falls to its knees, another swing of the whip! Around its neck and then pulled up , straight at Holt! A quick punch to the head finally defeats it.

A shadow….

Another beast, the size and look of a bear! A clawed blade to match its size!

All Holt can do is dodge the attacks that cut into the ground with force!

The whip! He tries his whip again, but no! The thing grabs ahold of it! The hook catches onto Holt, as the beast pulls him in!

Suddenly, a glisten of light reflects from on his glasses…

With quick reflexes, from a sheath on his side, a blade flies up & he rapidly flips into his hand!

The beast! It swings its own blade at Holt! He can’t possibly block that!

Cutting through the darkness, a streak of blinding light reflects from their slashing blades…

The classic scene, two standing apart, back to back, waiting to see who won…

The Hands!! The beast’s hands fall clean off!

Here is my first story in my renewed series. Was originally going to have drawings to go with it, but decided to leave it text only, apart from the initial drawings. Might still make a version with drawings in the future. I don't know, currently. Really feeling split about the whole thing. I do really enjoy writing and this is easier to do on the go, since my phone isn't so great for drawing. My tablets are not so good, either. The best one no longer has a battery and the other uses a separate drawing pad, making it better to sit down with rather than walking and drawing at the same time. I can only handle sitting at the computer for only so long. I'm also thinking that I didn't want to display the creepypasta, horror and blood, in case it scared off any potential collaborations and crossovers (one can dream).  However, it is nice to display what I intended for things to look like. There is also the practice of making it more visually pleasing and draw attention to it, like book & magazine covers do (Alas, that hasn't been working for me). Plus, I also really like comic stories/the short version of graphic novels. Just didn't feel it this time, though. Just enjoyed imagining, writing and trying to display everything in what I hope is an exciting and enjoyable fashion. Please, let me know!

Godspeed Origin Cover

I have decided to try comics, writing and graphic stories again. Decided to start from the beginning, the catalyst that sparked the decision to start a business purely for helping those in need. As you can see, it is with Holt. Inspired by an older flash animation that I don't remember the name of. Something with a bit of horror/creepy pasta to it.

Decided to make a cover to this one since I had an idea for one. Also decide to go with a simpler drawing design, black lines and light shading, since it will involve several drawings, even if I decide to go with more literature with complimentary drawings, rather than all comic.

Oh, Dag Goodwill ... the last one of the main characters. He's ... based on me. Far from 100%, though. That would counter part of the character, as he is normally humble and the opposite of egomaniac. Sometimes he will be proud of himself and want to show off, but uncommonly. Rather, he is a bit of a worry wart. Being the newest member of the team, he often feels like he is an outsider, in spite of them welcoming him in and his helpful nature. As you can see from his equipment, he is a strict pacifist. I mean, REALLY strict. Some say everyone has their limit, but it is hard to say if he has that kind of limit. He would rather run, and he has gotten good at that. Sure, he is a bit of a computer and electronics nerd, but his anxiety made him worry about his health, so he often runs and bikes to stay fit. Other items of his interest are cameras and lights. He may not be any more afraid of the dark than most, but he is more afraid of being unable to help others in need, let alone making it worse.

Aisha Coorahna

I wish they all looked like this one. It just turned out all correct. Also, the choices I used to make her "ugly" actually made her look a lot better than expected.

Ah, Aisha, the medical doctor of the team, able to fix a wide variety of ailments with the accuracy of a brain surgeon. That is, if you are even willing to let her. She has a lot going against her. Short, pudgy, and generally goes against all the standards of beauty, even common fetishes. Not quite that short, fat, curvy, etc. On top of those, there is female sexism and racism for being an Australian native. Her personality isn't helping any either. You could call it dark, macabre or witchlike. Might even be worsened by her dark skin and hair, plus her rich red irises. However, like a big biker dude with a tiny pet dog, it doesn't stop her from being a good person. Really, she is full of surprises. Like how she is also oddly great at automotive mechanics. A few other more things are is she's well knowledged in her native bush medicine, that is, the effective ones and no "fads". Additionally, she is a little bit of a germaphobe. Speaking of phobias, you better realize that so much of her is only skin deep, as she might be the only one that could save your life.

Tilda Beaufort

Tilda: the muscle of the team, but also the woman. Now, I don't mean in the stereotypical way of being the big dumb ugly type, tomboy style or the lesbian one. Rather, it is based on how females are expected to be weak and if they aren't, then they also won't be feminine. She is a super strong in the weightlifter way, having 'real' strength, rather than for looks - another stereotype. Hence why she has a 'fat' look, rather than toned muscles. Irregardless, she is likely the most 'feminine' of the team. Except for cooking, she isn't good at that. What she is good at is machinery, metalwork, construction and demolition. She prefers to 'build up' people, rather than 'knock down' people, unless someone relentlessly does so, then she will break them down.

Also, didn't know how to include this: she is French-Canadian, based on the stereotypes of the French easily giving up and French women being very feminine. She is hardy while still feminine. Her surname even means "beautiful fortress".

'Zack' Wamblee

Zack, the Native Canadian with a conflicting personality. On one side, he is a calm, laid-back man that enjoys water-based activities and with a preference towards safety, in spite of the other side of his personality being a firearms expert. A gun nut, as some may say. In fact, he put so much skill into it, he is noticeably less proficient at melee. Therefore, two of his choices have a ranged option. Going with the water interest, he also likes the outdoors. Additionally, he is also a surprisingly good actor, making him a natural for disguising and imitating. On top of noticing safety hazards, he can also figure out when others are acting. He might be highly interested in water, firearms and is generally laidback, but he doesn't let safety take a break.

Terri Skih

Ah, the opposite to Holt! The silly, fun-loving and seemingly crazy Terri. This is in spite of having Middle East to India heritage. Has a bit of a punk side that can be seen in her preference towards improvising and being cheap. Has become quite proficient in the art of improvising. Additionally, she really likes aircraft and flying. Also has a lesser skill in explosives. She is skilled and resourceful. Though very energetic and not serious, she will help her team when needed.

Holt Harwood

Holt Harwood.

There have been other serious toned characters, but even Batman can't hold a candle to how INTENSLY serious Holt its. Never smiles and no jokes, doesn't even chuckle. Speaks with a slight verbose and only proper grammar without using any idioms. That is, when he actually does talk, otherwise is usually quiet. He is simple, down-to-earth and very humble. Those sunglasses are not for looking cool, they are a necessity, like prescription glasses are to some people. He never takes them off, even in the dark. This all may give the impression of being emotionless, uncaring or angry. He may not show as many as others, but he is far from those on a common basis. He is very caring and helpful, towards both human and animal.

Apart from being great with animals, he is also avid outdoorsman. Has become exceptionally skilled at climbing. Combine those with being naturally quiet and he is also good with camouflage. When it comes to firearms, he prefers shotguns. Even his arrow-firing air gun is based on a popular shotgun design. However, these skills pale in comparison to his greatest skill: using the Bolas Blade. Alas, that is its own weakness, since it is a variation of the machete, a knife made as a tool rather than a real weapon. But it is what he is most acquainted with using, so he sticks to it. One could only imagine how unbeatable he would be if he ever became familiar with a real sword. Rather than relying on powerful, high-tech equipment, he goes with pure skill.

My OCs and TF2 crossover

(Didn't notice how weird the TF2 proportions are until I tried to draw my characters over them!) Well, this took way too long, then longer to finally share. Started back when #savetf2 was happening, but I just didn't draw my characters often enough for people to know of them. Anyways, I have a lot of TF2 inspiration, so it just seemed natural to do a crossover. Mind you, I only have 6 characters in this team. Thus, 2 are in multiple roles. Some are not exact matches, but close enough. From left to right: Pyro/Aisha; mainly the doctor but can also use a sanitizer like a flame thrower. Engineer/Tilda; her main job is building. Zack/Spy; no invisibility, but he does have a revolver and disguises. Also good at hiding in water. Heavy/Tilda again; wearing her heavy-duty welding dress and a full auto 'kiln gun'. Can be made into a sentry for her engineer role. Sniper/Holt; Actually, Zack is the sniper when using his rifle, but Holt needed to be put in here somewhere. I was tempted to swap their places but had already finished this drawing. Besides, they are more fitting with their looks. Otherwise, he is more melee. He does have one long-range option and I just needed to add a scope. Scout/Dag; Think the same as scout, but a little bit of computer nerd and minus all the in-you-face attitude. Soldier/Tilda; she also does demolition. Here she has a potato canon/fireworks. Demoman/Terri; This is supposed to be Tilda again, but I put Terri here. She originally was an explosives class, but that didn't fit her style. Now she is more like a Light Weapons woMan with rapid fire. She does have a few explosives still, such as a bomb used like a grenade to complement her handgun. Medic/Aisha, her main job as a medical doctor. That is an aloe vera blade.

Same, yet, opposite to the last one, being of completely different purpose. This is based on an old drawing I made many years ago. Inspired by the old trucks that needed only a little work to get running again after many years of abandonment. That is good for the driver owning it, who prefers to stay away from other people. He prefers to stay in the woods, but still uses it to go farther distances for setting traps etc. It has a GM 302 I-6 running on alcohol he made himself. Thus, it has a rusty, "worn-out", post-apoc design. The truck is a '47-'54 GMC 1-ton with 4x4 and was a on-base/non-combat military vehicle, kind of like a staff car(possibly a maintenance truck), though I still added that gun mount thing on the top. Plus, these trucks often came with an 'olive drab' like green in my experience. Also, I relocated the intake/air filter to the top as an improvised snorkel. The thing on the front is for crossing large gaps; it would slide along it until the wheels made contact. The whole thing is meant to be simple, durable and to stay away. I really like how the colored inner lines look.

This is for one of the many 'opponents' I have yet to introduce. Mainly an opponent to Aisha. Since Aisha's 'battle' vehicle was a full-size van, I wanted something comparable. The '47-'54 Suburbans are among my favorite vehicles and when I came up with the grill design, it became the fitting choice. 'She' values looks over function and this is a show vehicle. Yet, she values it less since it is not an authentic sports car. The entire drive-train/frame have been replaced for comfort and cruising, rather than performance. "All show and no go". None the less, it still handles well in comparison to other vehicles with fighting in mind. You can also see what else she had in mind when making this.

The second one of the series. Even though I had figured out the drawing style, I went and made many redesigns and renames of this one. The original idea was to make a "sleeper" performance vehicle, by placing a huge engine in the spacious back of a minivan. While trying to figure out what racing vehicle to give this drive, the same as Battlax, I came back to that idea. Also, I was missing a big, long vehicle in the lineup, like a bus, firetruck or motorhome. So, I went and combined it with a van and my favorite firetruck and diesel locomotive: the American LaFrance 800 series and EMD F-units. It already had a mid-mounted v12, like a supercar, but now has a massive diesel instead (see the little 'blueprint'). Though built for towing, it has enough speed when unloaded, thanks to that engine. The name is based on "hard as nails" and obviously train tracks. Did think of calling "Hot Shot" since it is slang for a fast train, but thought it was too generic. The second name it has is based on the first name I gave it, "Fire Freighter".
