We are so tired of the discourse about RAMCOA.

The acronym is our experience.

By denying us and every other survivor that description you are in fact saying the trauma isn’t real.

I don’t care if you have a million other small terms.

We were in a fucking cult. We were ritualistically tortured. We were programmed to have specific responses to certain stimuli, had our own beliefs stripped away. When triggered we don’t have control over what happens because it is a fucking program. Our torture was organized to the point our parents had a part in it; it went from the ground up.

Every. Fucking. Part.

Saying what we went through is just sadistic or extreme religious abuse is a fucking lie. Saying that it was just abuse is a lie and is denying the fact that the trauma even happened.

Listen to survivors.

This term IS our trauma and by denying the term you deny the trauma.

I don’t give a fuck if you think your over sanitized versions of the hell we and so many other victims when through is an acceptable equivalent.

It wasn’t just abuse. It was ritual torture AND abuse. It was effectively brainwashing and mind control. It was organized down to the letter.
