I just finished Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It’s a departure from the genres I usually read (it’s family saga fiction set in the late 60’s through the early 80’s—the perfect summer read—a total page-turner). I loved it. It makes me want to go surfing in the 80’s. 😂 Have you read it yet? Who is your favorite character? 🏄‍♀️ 🏄‍♀️ Here’s the description: Malibu: August 1983. Do you reread books? I have to reread the books that I wrote all the time when I’m writing the next book in the series. I get a little sick of them. 😂 I also reread for pleasure, though, especially when I know a new book in a series that I love is coming out soon. I can’t wait for the sequel to the Ninth House. Do you color coordinate your bookshelves or do you arrange them in a different way? I used to have mine sorted alphabetically by author but now they’re mostly by color so that I can grab books quickly for IG photos that are in a certain color palate. I also like the aesthetic. I don’t think I buy books for their color covers, but I will buy them if the cover is too amazing to pass up. Do you gravitate toward colorful books? What color most catches your attention? (Most of the books on my shelves are black. I’m not sure what that says about me. 😂) What are you reading now? I started an ebook called The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake. “History likes to lie about women.” —Amber Sparks, And I Do Not Forgive You 🪓 🪓 I just read this short story collection by Amber Sparks. You need to add it to your book stack. I read it in a few hours because I simply couldn’t put it down. I’m probably going to read it again this weekend because it’s that good. Get this one. 🪓 🪓 I also just finished the audiobook of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. It’s mind blowing. His interpretation of superposition made me want to stalk him in every possible version of our lives. Ha,ha, kidding.
