I am so glad I had picked this up during Christmas. This was a nice, short, translated novella. It’s a sci-fi horror.

This is about a colony that gets attacked by a rival colony and there’s a living ‘security system’ on the planet. It’s a messy, complicated drama about a toxic polycule and their survival on a planet that fights back.

Definitely recommend.

I was influenced by Gavin Reads It All on YT for this.

This is a litRPG, which is basically a video game in a book. And this delivers.

Carl and Princess Donut end up surviving an initial alien invasion…and now they are having to compete in a Dungeon Crawler to win back the planet….did I mention that Princess Donut is a cat…Carl’s ex’s cat who is he reluctantly now taking care of.

I read this as an audiobook and I absolutely recommend the audiobook, but if you are like me (not good with numbers) you should probably check out getting the physical or e-book to follow along with it. The stats and stuff were a bit much, and I feel like I needed the book while I listened to it.

Very immersive, and the narrator was amazing. I will be continuing this, and I will be finishing this series this year. I loved it so much. I already own Books 1-4 on Audible..love it so much.

Fiction Recommended by Family.

My sister introduced me to this author, which is apparently a penname for a married couple, Ilona Andrews. I both love and hate her for it. I love her because I've found another author that I would die on hill praising their world-building, wonderful cast of characters, and eccentrically intriguing plots. But, I hate her for the amount of sleep I've lost, and tiring workdays that I've had for weeks. Because it's definitely her fault, and not my lack of willpower...
